Being A Success
2008-07-21 07:19:56
I believe that being successful means having a balance of success stories across the many areas of your life. You can't truly be considered successful in your business life if your home life is in shambles. Zig Ziglar...

The Secret to Instant and Lasting Motivation
2008-05-12 06:06:42
Do you have a list of goals and desires that have yet to be fulfilled? Do you find yourself generating exciting new ideas only to find that you lose the motivation to complete them shortly after you get started? Perhaps you talk yourself out of that great new idea even before you even begin to pursue it.The good news is that there is a very simple yet powerful technique that you can adopt immediately to help you commit to completion. The technique is called decision.Proper decision making ability is a vital life skill that many people fail to develop at all. At first glance, this idea may seem trivial and possibly not useful but consider the context of this discussion. When I talk about decision, I refer to someone's personal commitment to the comp...

Things Dont Always Go As We Planned
2008-05-02 10:11:03
We all go through life thinking that we’re going to live forever, that we’re invincible, thinking that everything will go the way we hope and plan. But, if you live long enough, you realize that just isn’t so. You know [the saying], ‘How do you make God laugh? You tell him your plans.’After enough losses and twists and turns in the road, you realize that, hey, I better learn to build the muscle that deals with things not going the way I want, because if I don’t I’m in for a big surpriseGary Malkin...

Champions
2008-04-04 14:58:53
Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. ...

Big Big Plans
2008-03-14 10:02:49
Big, big plans, however positive they are, can lead to equally large amounts of stress and worry. Sometimes even procrastination or a slowdown. And behind it all are those pesky questions bouncing around inside our heads: Can I really do this? Will it really turn out how I want? [Insert your own favorite here.] It happens to the best of us. And it's completely normal. We all want great results, but who wants to focus their energy on something that brings discomfort?Well, perhaps a different approach is called for this time: breaking that project down into 10 or so smaller steps. When we eat a large satisfying meal, we don't swallow it whole. To do so would be unthinkable. When it's most enjoyable, we eagerly cut a piece, chew it, savor it, swallow, and after digest. Then on ...

Taking Responsibility Sets us Free
2008-02-15 09:46:29
It's quite empowering when we think of having responsibility, as having "response-ability" - or owning the ability to respond. Affirming we have the ability to respond in (and to) any situation helps us to see that we are not victims. It reinforces that we are the creators of our own experience. We have the inherent ability to respond to what comes our way and stand in our truth. Thanks to this philosophy we can begin to take complete responsibility for everything that happens to us and liberate ourselves from a consciousness of suffering. Responsibility exists through the decisions we make and the actions we take. And when actions just aren't possible, the ability to choose how we respond in thought becomes our strongest ally. ...

"Money is our energy at work"
2008-02-09 12:28:03
Most of us spend in one way or another on daily basis. It's no wonder that money, and the purchases made with money, play a significant role in our lives.Focusing on what's behind our investments can be a real eye-opener. Whether we're conscious of it or not, there is an intention (or deeper underlying meaning) behind every cent we choose to spend, or withhold. The reason for our purchases typically goes well beyond, "Oh, just because I wanted to buy it."At its best, spending is about creating a positive outcome in our lives and those of others. At its weakest, it is about distracting ourselves, compensating for a particular lack, or engaging in misguided actions. It's when we begin to proactively affirm our reasons for making ...

Look Within For Happieness
2008-02-02 13:01:05
A close friend said' "If I could only figure this out, I think I could find happiness." I have heard this before and will hear it again I am sure. Many people want to believe that finding happiness is all about finding something else they want. Not many have ever found long term happiness by achieving another goal. The answer to finding happiness is to look within. In other words, happiness is completely an inside job. The most important piece to finding happiness is to comprehend happiness is a choice and not the result of an experience. If all happiness could be found as the result of an acquisition, meeting a goal, or having anything, then a person's happiness would always be subject to something else.Remember this: one definition of happiness is simply the absence of...

There's Enough For Everybody
2007-12-13 13:34:34
The world is a generous place if we choose to see it that way. It gives us satisfying relationships, a home, and love. It provides work, recreation, and time for reflection. It continually offers us new learnings and opportunities for growth. One of the best things about the world is that there's a vast reserve of prosperity available for everyone. Prosperity won't just run out one day. There's no coveted reserve. As long as we're open to it and attracting it, there will always be favorable circumstances in our lives. When it comes to evaluating if there's enough prosperity to go around, we might ask ourselves how we go about expressing the concept in our own lives. How do we draw from it and make it our daily experience? One excellent approach to holding the att...

Tis The Season For Giving
2007-12-07 06:56:54
Ever notice how really good we feel after doing something nice for another person? When there are no strings attached and we perform a selfless act without any expectation, it can be an incredibly satisfying feeling. Appreciation, or simply knowing that we've acted from the heart, provides the sweetest of rewards. Often after we make a difference in the life of another, we ask ourselves why we haven't done it more often. Our act of selfless service might involve a kind word or lending an ear to a person who could use it. Perhaps we take the time to prepare and deliver a dinner for someone whose loved one has passed. (Cooking is probably the last thing on their mind, and the gesture is truly touching at a time when it's needed.) It could be holding the door open for a person ...

Don’t Quit!
2007-10-12 06:16:14
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,When the funds are low, and the debts are high,And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,When care is pressing you down a bit,Rest if you must, but don't you quit.Life is queer with its twists and turns,As every one of us sometimes learns,And many a failure turns about, when he might have won had he stuck it out;Don't give up though the pace seems slow,You may succeed with another blow.Success is failure turned inside out,The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,And you never can tell how close you are,It may be near when it seems so far;So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,It's when things seem worst, thatYou Must Not Quit....

Price is Not Always the only thing
2007-10-06 11:54:04
Too often we believe agreement means price only.A true customer partnership includes understanding the client's needs, and your commitment to service and quality levels that meet or exceed the needs.Meet with the customers, outline your understanding of the needs, and outline your plan.Make sure you come to complete agreement; then you have a true partnership.Your customer relationships will be solid and long term....

0% Financing
2007-09-08 06:13:58
You know I have heard alot of people talking about 0% financing when comparing used to new vehicles, and they have asked for some information about it. well one big difference to consider when using the discounted financing option is that the rate is just a rate buydown. in that what I mean is if you read an ad for a new vehicle the ad reads buy this vehicle for eg. $22,995.00 or finance it at whatever the low rate happens to be. Well at the bottom of the ad it explains the finanacing option and you will see there that the price is different when you finance it. you lose the rebate in lew of the interest rate making the price of the car you are financing higher. Now this is understandable because the car companies cant give you both the rebate and the l...

Its nice to know that what you do is appreciated, and the Reader's Choice Award is for us that appreciation. It shows us that honesty Friendlyness and integrity is what people are looking for. It really is a fun place to come to work. So thank you Fredericton for the vote of thank you.MikePS check out the article Saturday in the Daily Gleaner to meet all the staff here....

GIVING
2007-08-24 08:57:46
I was listening to a radio broadcast and it was talking about giving and receiving. Now this is a very old principal as old as the Bible in fact...The feeling that you get when you give is far greater than when you recieve. The person that receives in many cases feels possibly shame or defeat for recieving the gift or favor that was given, when it was in no way the intention of the person doing the giving. In fact the person that is doing the giving is a bit selfish, Yes selfish. Okay not selfish if you give of your time, or your wallet the feeling that you recieve is amazing. Since i have worked here i have seen many case of giving and sheer compassion more so than any place i have worked this is truly a caring place. So when you are asked for something...someone on the street asking for ...

OPPORTUNITY NEVER KNOCKS TWICE
2007-08-17 15:26:46
The sad truth is that opportunity doesn't knock twice. You can put things off until tomorrow but tomorrow may never come. Where will you be a few years down the line. Will it be everything you dreamed of. We seal our fate with the choices we take, but don't give a second thought to the chances we take....

CHAIN OF COMAND
2007-08-10 13:52:05
We have a chain of command in everything in life. From the time we were children we were told not to do something or to do something because our parents knew best. Today we are taught to question authority , not to take things blindly, and in some cases that is good in others it is bad. There are sometimes that you are told to do something and you should follow even if it doesnt seem to make sense to you, because the authority telling you this probably has some insight into the issue that you dont.WE should always keep an eye out to what we are being told to do, but we also should know that the final decision lies with the person who has the decision making power.I welcome your comments please send me some of your thoughts on this or any other of the blogs here.Mike...

Better Ideas
2007-07-27 13:34:53
We must be open to better ideas each day. Some say if it isn't broken, don't fix it. Others say, if it isn't broken, how can we make it better. Examine your processes, look over your procedures, and determine one or two ways to improve your work.Ask for suggestions. Then implement what you learned. You will witness your business improving and growing, rather than just running.Mike...

2007-07-13 14:27:54
As I sit here today wondering what to write about I'm struck as I look out the window looking at the beautiful sunny day at what a great place we live in. Not just Fredericton, but the whole country. I just got back from the states on my vacation and there is no place with such nice roads pretty locations and friendly people. It's always good to sit back and think about all the good things in our lives as small as they seem to you they are still things that make you happy. With me it is the time I have with my family or something funny my kids say that make me smile or just the fact that I live in a great place with freedom and peace. Think about them and be thankful, happy & love life.Mike...
