| Online Coupon : What Consumer Thinks? |

In this study we focus on the determinants of coupon usage by one of the fastest-growing types of promotion in Taiwan – couponing at the store or at home electronically through shoppingcards. In Taiwan, fierce competition has resulted in retailers exerting a tremendous amount of effort in providing incentives to consumers. The electronically linked coupon distribution network is a byproduct of this competition. According to a national survey conducted by Retailing Services (2005), the use of this technology has risen from 8 percent in 2003 to 17 percent in 2004 throughout supermarkets in Taiwan.
