I know I've got to see this movie. When something "ticks off" the Hollywood critics this big, I personally can't wait to get a seat and watch it!September Dawn, the controversial and much-maligned film by respected film director Christopher Cain (Young Guns, The Principal), is getting panned and slapped by critics like few movies have of late. Why? Because they don't like the subject matter maybe? Or they don't feel it's politically correct enough? Or who knows? If indeed it's just a "bad film" then that's what should be said. My personal movie tastes are varied, and my satisfaction is not necessarily dependent on typical "good movie" standards. I'm forgiving of what some may call flaws, errors, substandards, story holes, weak plots, campy acting or predictability. My main criteria is basic: does the movie engross me, hold my attention, stay with me and most importantly, entertain me? If I answer yes, then it's a good movie. It's simple. Now to my main point.
