Well, this is heartbreaking. James Clementi -- Tyler Clementi's gay older brother -- gave an interview to Anderson Cooper 360, speaking out on TV for the first time about his brother's suicide and the repercussions for his family. "I think about the epidemic suicide has become for gay youth and it breaks my heart. Every child that I've seen on the news since and before my brother's death -- he's one of many, unfortunately and it needs to stop."

Every year we look forward to reading filmmaker John Waters' Top 10 films list in ArtForum, so we were very excited when the Pope of Trash offered up his favorite recent albums to Rookie, an online mag for teen girls, as part of a tour of his Baltimore home. Naturally his pad is fully stocked with fake food, pulp fiction and Justin Bieber memorabilia. Shockingly, however, the Biebs' new Christmas album was absent from a pile of CDs he showed to Rookie's photographer.
So what is Waters listening to these days? A compilation of covers of The Velvet Underground's "I'll Be Your Mirror," Benjamin Grosven's Chopin, Liszt, Ravel, Keren Ann's 101, Lykke Li's Wounded Rhymes, Gang Gang Dance's Eye Contact, PJ Harvey's Mercury Prize winner Let England Shake, Chris Isaak's Beyond the Sun, Wye Oak's The Knot, southern rapper Yelawolf's Radiaoctive, and Zola Jesus's Conatus.

In an uncharacteristic move from the daytime talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres devoted a portion of her opening to the ludicrous One Million Moms uproar, which has made a stink in the past few weeks protesting Ellen's role as the new spokesperson for JC Penny because she is a lesbian -- and therefore defiles traditional values. "I just want to be clear," Ellen said. "Here are the values I stand for: I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated, and helping those in need. To me those are traditional values."
