Movie review Bhootnath, Bhootnath ready to shock viewers away from the theatres
2008-05-10 00:44:27
Bhootnath is kiddish rather than being a movie for kids. If you want to watch Big B making faces, rather than emoting, watch Bhootnath. Bhootnath disappoints grossly and add one more to the disappointing flops that Bollywood has generated this year. The story: It is about a child’s encounter with the friendly ghost of the house. As you know it, the Bhoot is only visible by the child and the ghost is always there to help the kid in every scene except for one. The kid (Banku) has a doting mom in the form of Juhi Chawla and a dad in the form of SRK(who seems to have given just three odd days to shoot the movie). Shahrukh Khan works in a cruise liner and mostly interacts with the kid by phone. One comes to know about the ghost’s sad story which co...

Why is it good for Bollywood actors and directors to blog, the benefits of Bollywood personalities blogging!
2008-05-02 14:18:05
Increasingly, a lot of Bollywood personalities are turning to blogging. It is quite worthwhile for actors, directors or even any famous personality to opt for blogging; the simple reason being it renders a distinct personal touch. The opinion of the celebrity is not diluted, it is raw and crisp; as real as the person who writes it. It is said when a message passes from a source and exchanges various hands(or mouths), they attain a different proportion altogether when it reaches the object. Such things do not happen when a Bollywood personality blogs sincerely. When Bollywood filmstars blog, they are directly conn...

Yash Raj films losing ground after Tashan's flop
2008-04-30 00:55:14
Dunno how much of that is true, but if Yash Chopra does not reprimand his son Aditya Chopra, the audience certainly will. Yash Raj films who has had an illustrious tradition of making some of the most successful movies have bitten dust since the last two years. Of late, YashRaj movies have been “all style, no substance”. Tashan is the biggest flop of the year 2008. Last year too Yash Raj had made dismal movies like Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag, Aaja Nachle, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Tara Rum Pum. Tashan has not only suffered at the hands of the people and critics, but due to the breakdown of negotiations, the movie did not even release in multiplexes. The real reason for the poor show of Yash Raj films, barring a Hum Tum and a Chak De India, is lack of good content. Even Dhoom ...

Why Movies Do Not Get a Second Chance
2008-04-23 14:58:12
Just a couple of days ago, I happen to see two movies that I had seen much earlier in the theatre-Life in a..Metro and Traffic Signal. When I had seen both of these movie for the first time in the theatre, I felt that they were bland. Life in a. ..Metro looked far-fetched, and Traffic Signal did not have a moving plot. It seemed like the story revolved round and round the traffic signal without going ahead. But incidentally, one of my friends had liked both of the films and since I appreciate his choices in life, I decided to give those movies a second look. Boy! I was thrilled. The characterizations, the performances and the sensitive moments in both the films hit me. Both Traffic Signal and Life in a...Metro were unconventional by typical Bollywood st...

Anything for cheap publicity and money
2008-04-20 14:42:22
The famous tabloid Mumbai Mirror exposed how Malaika Arora and her husband took the newspaper and readers for a ride by telling lies about their divorce . Malaika Arora even went to quote that her husband was remarrying someone else. News about the high profile divorce flashed in newspapers and several websites. However Mumbai mirror on the very next day, proved that the divorce thing was just one big circus, a shot by the two people at taking cheap publicity. The newspaper had recorded their versions on tape and now the stars(?) had no answer. The newspaper stated that both Malaika and Arbaaz Khan had done this just for money. The couple who are very much together were asked to do so by...

2008-04-20 14:21:10
I do not liked to be called an item girl (but it feels nice to see the audience all worked up, when they are usually sleep in the rest of the movie)I have heard about casting couch but thankfully I have never been propositioned.(my producer really liked my "performance")I had to expose because the script demanded it. (I am trying to get creative here)We are just friends (we like to kiss and make out..i mean make up)This role is different (so is the roll i am eating right now)Readers may write in with more cliches.

Lots of suing around happening in Bollywood
2008-04-17 14:53:37
People in Bollywood are suing around. First it was the news of Ram Sampath suing Rakesh Roshan for lifting his track “Thump” for the movie Krazzy 4. Ram Sampath was right on his count and Rakesh Roshan was unfortunate because he had been informed by Sony Ericson through a letter that the track may be taken. Later when Ram sued Rakesh Roshan, Sony Ericsson stated that it was a mistake on their part. As a result, Rakesh Roshan had a hefty price to pay(read Rs.2 crores). Suing is fine but only when it matters, not for trivial reasons. Like the one where Celina Jaitly dropped a bombshell ofa news by stating one fine day that she wishes to sue Pooja Bedi for calling her delusional. Everyone has a right to make a point. For that matter, both Pooja Bed...

Aamir Khan-Ace Khan, Created for better things!
2008-04-11 14:48:21
One of the hottest contenders in Who is the Best among Khans, is a person who is in an institution all by himself, the one man force that entertains, educates and inspires-the ace Aamir Khan!Everything that Aamir touches in Bollywood, turns to gold or rather profits at the box office. It is hard to find out what role of Aamir is better,- actor, a producer, a screen writer or a director. Aamir Khan who lives by logic and loves creativity, has always viewed cinema as a medium for change or a platform that should set people thinking as much as it could entertain. He has always maintained that he would like to associate with an idea, which is commercially viable; in a recent interview, he had confessed that he woudn’t like a producer to sell his house...

Shahrukh Khan-The King Khan, He Stops at Nothing!
2008-04-11 14:46:07
The topic 'Who is the Best among Khans?' is incomplete without the King Khan, Shahrukh KhanShahrukh Khan is an inspiration to anyone who believes that an outsider from the film industry can make it big in Bollywood. Perhaps one of the best communicators in Bollywood and gifted with loads of wit, he is a film magazine’s delight. Shahrukh Khan knows how to keep everyone happy and still walk away with a smile. He keeps a win-win approach in the industry. Shahrukh Khan thinks beyond films, he wants to make an impression in every conceivable field, be it sports, television, advertising or business. Normal is boring; SRK says and does everything within and beyond his reach. Shahrukh Khan earned a good fan base in his initial part of his career beca...

Salman Khan- The Rockstar of Bollywood.
2008-04-10 03:28:07
In sequence to the post, Who is the best among Khans?, we present the next nomination-rockstar Salman Khan. Though Salman Khan had a quiet debut in Biwi Ho To Aisi(1998), his classy act in Maine Pyar Kiya(1989) created an impression that showed that he is the future of Bollywood. However, barring a Saajan, Salman Khan did not have a single box office success till 1994. There was a time when he was called the jinxed actor and except for teenage girls who were besotted by the handsome Khan, no really bothered to watch his movies. Until Hum Aapke Hain Kaun gave a second lease of life to his career. The year 1994 was Salman Khan’s year because he gave two of the biggest superhits...

2008-04-07 04:53:05
Fresh from the success of Race, Saif Ali Khan has won himself a lucrative contract with Airtel, th mobile phone giant. Saif Ali Khan stands to be the third brand ambassador of the company after Sachin Tendulkar and Shahrukh Khan. Incidentally, girlfriend Kareena Kapoor also represents Airtel.Saif Ali Khan has the look and the image that matched the youthful yet corporate image of Airtel. So Saifu has been roped in as the new brand ambassador for Airtel. In fact, the lucrative contract did not lap easily on Saif Ali Khan's lap. There were three main contenders to win the Airtel contract, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. The public survey carried out won Saif Ali Khan the highest number of votes, which co

Who is the best among Khans?-Why Saif Ali Khan rocks!!
2008-04-05 12:36:43
Shahrukh Khan is called King Khan, Aamir is the Ace Khan, Salman Khan is a Rockstar while Saif Ali Khan is the stylish Khan. But among the Khans who rock the box office and are going strong with every passing movie... which of the Khans is actually the most versatile actor? Who is the best among the four Khans-Shahrukh, Salman, Aamir or Saif? Who has the chance of going strong in the next five-six years? For the first in the four post series, let us look at the most stylish and alluring of them all-Saif Ali Khan.Saif Ali Khan is the USP of Race, they say. | Kareena Kapoor or Katrina Kaif, who is the Queen of Bollywood? |
2008-04-02 23:06:46
The war heats up between Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Who is hotter and talented between Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor? Kareena Kapoor who received a lot of praise and awards galore for her performance in Jab We Met looks like the next Queen of Bollywood. Only... if Katrina Kaif gets out of her way. Salman Khan’s woman is proving to be a worthy competitor to Saif Ali Khan’s girlfriend. Kareena Kapoor recently snapped an enviable Rs. 6 crore deal from TV18 for a Priyadarshan movie. She also commands most of the major endorsements. But then Katrina Kaif is not far behind in RACE(no pun intended!). Katrina Kaif has been cal...

Even the Weirdest of Scripts Reach Bollywood Stars!
2008-03-31 23:46:43
Day in and day out, Bollywood actors have to face difficult, worst and weird scripts. Here are some of the worst or weirdest script offers given to Bollywood stars(and how they reacted to them): Akshay Kumar’s worst script offer: A director had come to Akshay Kumar with a script which was normal till the interval. After that the story goes like that the character played by Akshay goes to the jail and then some guy in the prison rapes him. Akshay Kumar was shocked. He told the director, “Sir, all the best to you. But I am not doing this classic”. Hema Malini’s worst script offer: Once a director told Hema Malini that he had a superb script in which she would play Jeetendra...

Movie Review Race: Race- Abbas Mustan in top form!
2008-03-24 21:20:13
In my previous post, I had stated how director duo Abbas Mustan badly needed to up their quality thanks to some of their last few flops. Race however can bring them again in the top league.Thriller directors Abbas Mustan have certainly hit gold with Race! Race is a heady thriller and easily one of the best movies on ‘oneupmanship’ in recent times. Many felt that this could be an original script but unfortunately it isn’t. Race has its origins in a lesser known 1998 Hollywood film Goodbye Lover which is as slow as a lame duck. But apna Race is a slick flick. Race follows a standard Abbas Mustan pattern of thrillers with characters revealing their murkier, darker side as the subject moves forth. Thankfully, the first half of Race is not boring as ...

Abbas-Mustan need to RACE up now
2008-03-17 09:09:44
Thriller directors Abbas Mustan may still be the most wanted ones in the genre of suspense and thrillers but their quality is going down with every successive movie. I happened to see one of their earlier movies(their first suspense thriller) Khiladi on my DVD. The movie is simply mindblowing with the right elements of comedy and suspense. No wonder, it was a big hit when it released in 1992. iT still would have been a huge hit if it released now also. Khiladi is one of the best suspense movies in India. No one who has seen the movie for the first time can ever guess that the killer is Anant Mahadevan(okay I said it, big deal! Everyone has watched Khiladi) From a high on content, musical suspense Khiladi, Abbas Mustan followed it up with Baazigar in 1993 which pirouetted Shahrukh Kh...

Why it does not make sense to make historical movies in India
2008-03-14 07:26:50
We have seen it in Asoka. We have seen it in Rising-Mangal Pandey. We saw it happening all over again in Jodhaa Akbar. No doubt, Jodhaa Akbar was a well made movie, albeit a long length. But then historically themed movies never do the best business in India, barring Mughal-e-Azam of yesteryears. Historical movies in India are always embroiled in some sort of controversy. It has been always said that negative publicity is good publicity but it ain’t that good when people pull the movie down from the theatres and do not allow it to release under any cost. The mindset with historical movies is that youngsters are plain bored with historical stories and the older members of the populace...

Aamir Khan to endorse Samsung Phones
2008-03-14 07:23:18
Today, 14 March’08 is the birthday of the supremely talented Aamir Khan. He turns 43 but still looks every bit in his 20s. The actor will don a bald pate for his role in Ghajini, which should release later this year. Aamir Khan will also be endorsing Samsung mobile phones. So it is Shahrukh Khan for Nokia, Hrithik Roshan for Sony Ericsson, Abhishek Bachchan for Motorola and now Aamir Khan for Samsung. Aamir Khan reportedly stated in a Rediff interview that he was convinced about the product and the brand. The amazing array of phones that were shown to Aamir has made him understand that Samsung phones are indeed way ahead of market in terms of sheer design, quality and technolog...

Similarity between Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan

Both Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan are the show-stoppers of the nation. The King is different from the Ace but both have played a huge role in giving the most successful, interesting and entertaining films in the past 17 years. Let us look at the similarity between Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan: Both are superstars and equally popular. Both SRK and Aamir Khan have an average release of 2 movies every year. Both Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan have given their best performances with Ashtuosh Gowariker. Both of them looked stylish and hep in Farhan Akhtar's movies...Aamir for Dil Chahta Hai and SRK for Don-The Chase BeginsBoth are of the same age, 42.Both SRK and Aamir Khan gave two...

Jodhaa Akbar, first hit of the year 2008?
2008-03-12 15:18:34
Jodhaa Akbar has by and large has elicited a mixed response from viewers. Jodhaa Akbar has reportedly had an 80 percent response week and earned Rs. 24.75 crore at the first week. Add to this, the overseas collection and Jodhaa Akbar has made Rs. 38.5 crore. Compare Jodhaa Akbar to the last year’s biggest blockbuster Om Shanti Om, and the movie stands nowhere near the picture ( no pun intended). The figure earned by Jodhaa Akbar, according to Times of India is lower than the low on intellect “Welcome” that had a stupendous opening of Rs 39 crores within a matter of 5 days. From second week, Jodhaa Akbar has experienced a drop in collection but the movie continued unperturbed till last week. It is believed that the box office status of Jodhaa Akbar can be likened to the mixed bag hi

Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar at Filmfare Awards
2008-03-05 14:25:14
I happened to lay my hand on the issue of Mid-day dated 28 Feb’ 2007, where Akshay Kumar was reported to have taken a dig at SRK’s expense and that a cold war was evident. I believed the story like many and being a person of average intelligence, became party to the rumors floating around. We understood how wrong we were when the 53rd Annual Filmfare awards 2008 was actually telecast on TV.Here is a pure case of journalism going over the top and exaggerating things. This may be a small matter; an inconsequential one but it just goes to show that print media can write just about anything(most of it untrue) to create sensationalism and spread wrong signals. On February 23rd’08 Mid-day, the famous newspaper in Mumbai reported that the digs made by Saif ...

Filmfare Awards 2008 announced, 53RD Fair One Filmfare awards, it is really a “fair one
2008-02-24 03:10:31
"I amfeeling likeMonjolika tonite" Filmfare awards 2008 are finally out. Akshay Kumar fans are in for disappointment as he did not win a single award. We had predicted that he’d get the Best Actor in a Comic Role for atleast one of the 5 back to back hits he had given. Sadly the category itself was scrapped out this time. It is ironical because comedy was the toast of the year 2007. Ditto for the Filmfare Award in a Negative Role, there was no award itself…God knows why, Viveik Oberoi and Arjun Rampal who were supposed to be favorites in this category have not got their due. Now for the report card. …Shahrukh Khan won the Filmfare Best Actor award 2008 for his underplayed role of a hockey c...

Movie Review Jodhaa Akbar: Jodhaa Akbar has class but….
2008-02-17 10:52:25
Many happy returns of the year(not just a day) for Ashtuosh Gowariker for directing Jodhaa Akbar very well. The movie did take a long time in its making but the outcome is worth it. However, quite expectedly, you cannot anticipate the masses to really love the movie. The first half of the movie is rather long(the movie itself is 3 and a half hours in length) and there are some scenes in the first half which seem to be long-drawn. They could well have been trimmed. Technicalities: Full marks to Ashutosh and his team including script writers K.P. Saxena and Haider Ali who have worked hard and meticulously to come up with the mood and the feel of the Moghul era at the screenplay level itself. Music by A.R.Rahman, including the background score is relevant...

U, Me aur Hum inspired by the Notebook?
2008-02-15 13:33:39
Ajay Devgan has turned director with U, Me aur Hum. It will be a family show with Kajol and Ajay Devgan starring in the film. If reports and rumors are to be believed, U, Me aur Hum has been inspired by the Hollywood hit The Notebook. The script of the movie The Notebook is an adaptation of the novel ‘The Notebook’ written by Nicholas Spark. It is an epic romance of an old man who reads out from an old pale notebook to an old handicapped woman whom he regularly visits. The old man tells her of the story of a couple who were separated by World War II, and then reunited seven years later. Although her memory has given way, the words of the elder man awakens her to the cherished love they used to share. It remains to be seen how they have incorpora...

Five Point Someone to be made with Aamir Khan
2008-02-15 13:31:36
----> I am someone with 5 points!Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor will team up together for the first time in Raj Kumar Hirani’s film, an adaptation of the most successful youth novel in India Five Point Some. The book Five Point Someone written by Chetan Bhagat is pacy and humorous at the same time with a “Dil Chahta Hai” feel to it. The story is about three guys Ryan, Alok and Hari(which may be played by Aamir Khan) who are trapped in a rut called IIT. It is a warm story about friendship and romance with an IIT background. The script the movie based on Five Point Someone had exchanged several hands. The role had first gone to Shahrukh Khan, who refused it later. It was rumored that SRK refused the movie because he did not like the allegation whi...

2008-02-14 13:53:47
" I wonder why people look at my hair every time I say CUT "Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par has demonstrated unique flair for direction. He is one person who will never let his fans down and will take every step to see that each scene is an institution by itself. There have been speculations that Aamir Khan has directed(ghost directed, interferred, gave inputs-words flow thick and fast) some of his earlier movies too which the actor has denied. There have been a lot of filmmakers who have stated that Aamir Khan's inputs are always to the betterment of the film. The best example is Taare Zameen Par...

Aamir is making a movie called Delhi Belly which will be directed by Swedish director Robert Nylund. As of now the movie is in the pre-production phase. The movie has an intriguing story set in the backdrop of Delhi. Aamir Khan in fact wanted to play the character called Nitin the movie. | Filmfare Awards 2008? A 'calculated' prediction on Bollywood Awards 2007 |
2008-02-10 00:38:08
--->This year I am as effective as SRK!Fast forward yourself a few months from now to the spree of Bollywood Awards 2007.By now I am habituated to the way awards are handed out to Bollywood films and film personalities year after year (no I ain't talking about buying ‘em). Whether it is Filmfare Awards, Screen Award, Zee Cine Awards, Sansui Awards, Stardust award, Moonlitnite award (okay the last one does not exist) we know the winners are more or less the same. Except that some award functions are a little more biased (remember Zee Cine Awards giving the best movie to Gadar once when Lagaan hogged the limelight, simply because Gadar was produced by Zee entertainment), while there are other award shows that give a bes...

Will Jodhaa Akbar be a hit?
2008-02-09 11:17:21
Bollywood has not been known to be kind to movies that are based on history. Very less producers have taken risks with history based subjects. Except for Mughal-e-Azam, there hasn’t be any history based movie that has been a hit in India. When they tried history with Ashoka, Shahrukh Khan had to almost renounce his “king” status. His production company lost a lot of money back to back in Phir Bhi Dil Hain Hindustani and Ashoka, and he played safe in his next production Chalte Chalte, which resurrected the Khan. Similarly, Aamir Khan met with disappointment when he touched history with The Rising-Mangal Pandey. Though the subject itself had very less research matter, Aamir Khan tried his best but the movie did not work. Aashutosh Gowariker, one of the best talents in Bollywood is to...

Will Darsheel Safary win the Filmfare Best Actor Award?
2008-02-09 10:51:02
In Filmfare Award 2008, A Calculated Prediction, I had predicted that Darsheel Safary would win the Best Actor Award for Taare Zameen Par this time breaking the trend of an adult actor winning the award everytime. Of course, the prediction has not yet come true..not yet; but there is a sure glimmer of hope that the little master Darsheel will sweep the Best Actor trophy this time…. And why shouldn’t he? The boy’s performance was simply the best. If I could find any other superlative word for the performance, I would have used that. Darsheel Safary has made the likes of L.K. Advani, Shatrughan Sinha weep with his performance. This is no child’s play to give such an impactful performance. Some of the high impact performances of Darsheel Safary are: ...

Pritam-Mr. Anytime, Mr.Anyhow of Music! The music man for all tastes!
2008-02-09 10:39:23
Trust Pritam to give you churning musical hits by the weeks. Pritam first composed music with Jeet for their friend Sanjay Gadhvi’s film Tere Liye. Later Jeet-Pritam gave music to Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hain,a Yash Raj also directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. After the split with Jeet, Pritam went solo and gave a couple of flops. But his fortunes swung when he gave music to Dhoom. Dhoom Machale became the anthem of the nation in the year 2004. Dhoom Machale became and is still the hottest ringtone ever. After Dhoom, Pritam dhoomed into the world of Bollywood music, giving hits after hits. This man is simply unstoppable as he gives music by hook or by crook (reading lifting tunes). | Himesh Reshammiya-Singing Sensation and wizard of Music |
2008-02-09 00:08:31
Himmesh Reshammiya may stop wearing a cap in his new movie Karzzz but then he is a man who has won several caps-of a music director, producer, singer and an actor. Himmesh Reshammiya is incidentally the favorite composer of A.R.Rahman. Though he has had a hit with his movie ‘Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story,’ we would like him to do what he does best-compose music.Himesh Reshammiya is probably the only music director who has the least charges of plagiarism cases against me. The talent music composer that he is , Himesh Reshammiya has always brought originality in his compositions. He boasts about giving more than ten options to one song. He says that he has a music bank of 1000 songs that are yet untouched. His songs may sound alike at times espec...

Shanker Ehsaan Loy, Bollywood's favorite Melody Moghuls
2008-02-09 00:05:45
Shankar Ehsaan Loy: Shankar Ehsaan Loy have been the most consistent music directors in India. You can always rely on SEL for consistency. Though A.R.Rahman is extremely gifted as a music composer, at times he can disappoint too as he did in Mr.Romeo, Kisna-The Warrior Poet, and Paheli. But not Shankar Ehsaan Loy, they have always come up with hummable compositions. Their strength lies in melody. Look at the title song of Kal Ho Na Ho, or “maa” from Taare Zameen Par or “meri duniya” from Heyy Babyy. Shankar Ehsaan Loy is also very effective in danceable songs and fast beat numbers. Some of the best fast danceable Shankar Ehsaan Loy numbers are “It is the time to Disco”, “Heyy Babyy(title song)”, “Koi Kahe”(Dil Chahta Hai), Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (title song) and Aaj ...

He is among the top 25 all time top selling recording artistes of the world. A.R.Rahman began his career in 1991 composing ad jingles in a small studio near his home, called Panchathan Record Inn. In the year 1992, he showed some of his samples to Mani Ratnam, who was impressed gave the boy his first break. A.R. Rahman won the National Award for the best music for his first ever film Roja, a feat that was never achieved by any music composer before. Though they do not give music with the frequency of a Pritam, they still manage to cover a good amount of ground when it comes to music. The best thing you can get from a Vishal-Shekhar album is variety. They have composed the biggest selling music album of 2007-Om Shanti Om. The best thing about the album was that every song was unique and each of them catered to a different feel All the tracks became superhit, including Ajab si, Deewangi Deewangi, Main Agar Kahoon, Dastan-e-Om Shanti Om, Jag suna lagey, Dard-e-disco and also the background music of the film. The same amount of variety in music was visible in Salaam Namastey, Tara rum pum, Dus,Musafir, Golmaal and Bluffmaster. The USP of ...

2008-02-05 14:46:11
Bollywood Trends is turning out more to be a blog for Taare Zameen Par, but guys ‘n’ gals, can’t help it-Taare Zameen Par is one of the finest movies of our generation. Today we deal with other movies that also dealt previously with mentally and/or physically challenged people but couldn’t get the box office reception that Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par commanded: Iqbal(2005): One of the finest and creative film of 2006 directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Starring Sheryas Talpade as the protagonist, it told a simple but inspiring tale of a cricket obsessed economically deprived deaf and mute youth who yearns to play for the Indian cricket team. It was the highest gross low-budget film of the year. Black(2005): Regarded by critics as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s best work to date, it prove...

2008-01-30 13:24:41
Taare Zameen Par movie reviewTaare Zameen Par makes Filmfare Awards 2008-A calculated prediction on Bollywood Awards for movies released on 2007 even tougher for me. What a way to end the year! Taare Zameen Par is surely one of the milestone movies in Bollywood. It will be tougher to give the Best movie critics award since Chak De can get some real tough competition from Taare Zameen Par. It surely is my favorite movie of 2007.Want to know what movies are and how they should be made? Go the Aamir Khan Way!Aamir Khan’s tagline ‘every child is special’ suits the theme of the movie to the hilt. Not just the child, the movie is special too. Aamir Khan has valiantly gone ahead and chose a never before discussed top...

2008-01-30 13:13:57
Taare Zameen Par is poised to overtake the stupendous collections of Om Shanti Om. At the rate at which Taare Zameen Par is going; if it continues to do so in the near weeks, it will cross the collections of Om Shanti Om. The collections of Om Shanti Om are dwindling while Taare Zameen Par is still going fast and thick. Two releases which came in the way of Taare Zameen Par, Halla Bol and My name is Anthony Gonsalves proved to be damp squibs. The poignant time of the dyslexic child and the way in which Aamir Khan directed the movie has moved even the tough-hearted of the audience. Taare Zameen Par has collected Rs.770 milllion in its 4th week. Though it was a slow starter, the word of mouth publicity has taken the movie to new heights. The best thing is that the Aamir Khan did not marke...

2008-01-26 04:21:06
Every second Bollywood heroine is dusky or wheatish. There is something about the dusky/wheatish complexion which makes these lovely Bollywood divas mysterious and hot. There was an era when dark colored complexion was relegated to arty, parallel cinema which the likes of Smita Patil graced. Now dusky is definitely in with a bevy of earthy-complexioned or dusky looking actresses like Bipasha Basu, Kajol, Priyanka Chopra, Sameera Reddy, Lara Dutta, Mallaika Arora, Sonali Kulkarni, Raima Sen, Konkona Sen, Tanushree Dutta, Koena Mitra, Nandita Das, Jiah Khan, Geeta Basra and Deepika Padukone. All of these actresses look divinely sexy and beautiful at the same time with their clay complexion inducing the fertile imagina...
