When I grow up, I’ll want to be a YouTube Watcher
2007-08-09 12:41:16
The Wallstreet Journal has posted an interesting article about a team that is reviewing online videos all the day for searching any violating material. Therez Coke In Ur Faucet
2007-06-06 21:02:09
There was a story coming up around 2000. Former Coca Cola CEO Douglas Daft planned to develop a home Coke-on-tap system. The system delivers local water through a purifier to ensure that the Coce remains its standard flavor, carbonates and mixes it with syrup right at the tap. "You would have water mixing automatically with the concentrate and then connect it all up so that when you turn on your tap, you have Coke at home...There's a lot more to it than that to ensure quality, and it has to be a sealed unit so people can't alter the formula to destroy the value of the brand."  Read the full Article from 2001 ...

Die(t) Coke?
2007-06-04 13:53:30
Today, The Ecologist published an interesting article about neurotoxic and potentially carcinogenic chemicals which can be found in worlds fourth most commonly consumed carbonated beverage. "...Although Diet Coke has a strong association with sport and health, it is actually a worrying mixture of neurotoxic and potentially carcinogenic high intensity sweeteners (aspartame and acesulfame K), tooth and bone destroying acids (phosphoric acid) and DNA damaging colourings (sulphite ammonia caramel), as well as psychoaddictive caffeine and other undisclosed ‘fl avourings’. ..." Paint-Piano by Michel Gondry
2007-06-03 00:56:32
Michel Gondry is a famous film-maker from France. He caused some hype in the past with his performances on YouTube in which he is solving a Rubrics Cube with his feet or his nose (which both turned out to be a fake). Now I discouvered this nice footage of Michel, building a "Paint-Piano" a few more years ago which connects the piano player's fingers to a spin-paint device, dropping specific colors on playing specific notes to a rotating pad. The result are circular beautiful and hypnotic paintings. In this video, Björk is the piano player (well, she is trying to) which makes this video very special, because both are georgeous artists. For the geeks, it could be compared to the Gates and Jobs interview at the D5 last week... except that Björk and Michel Gondry are not competitors Watch the YouTube video (paint piano) Michel Gondry solving a Rubrics Cube with his feet Michel Gondry solving a Rubrics Cube with his nose...
