Fashion meets art meets dance meets Busby Berkeley meets synchronized swimming meets Ziegfeld Follies meets fabulous feathers and Louis Vuitton shoes and bags and collides in this gorgeous little kaleidoscopic film accompanied by Strike up the Band with Judy Garland. It's so lovely I watched it 3 times, or 4. I know you don't like to read very much or watch very much, but this is beautiful, so if you have time over the weekend, you should... because it will put a smile on your face :)

| Leather Heart Key Ring DIY |

A fun little leather heart keyring... just in time for Valentine's Day. Makes for a cute handmade gift for your best friend, sister, mom, daughter, or maybe even a fun clue in a Valentine's Day scavenger hunt... something along the lines of ...the key to unlock my heart sounds perfectly cheesy to me, but also very romantic.
* Thin leather
* Key ring
* Chain
* Scissors
* Bead reamer
* Pink thread
* Beading pliers
* Draw or trace 1/2 of a heart onto the suede side of your leather. Fold your leather to cut a perfect heart.
* Use your first heart as a pattern to draw your second heart.
* Place your hearts together, suede side touching. Using a bead reamer or pen, mark a pattern of dots around the edge as a guide for your stitches.
* Begin first stitch on the inside to hide your knotted end within the heart.
* Using a simple overcast or hemming stitch, stich your hearts together, making sure to keep them aligned. Tip: use a thimble on your thumb to pu...

| Spring Couture in Pastels |

I am IN LOVE with the Spring 2012 Couture collection from Elie Saab. Dripping iced pastels, florals and beadwork symmetrically embroidered over layers of sheer fabric with a nod to 50's and 60's silhouettes and femininity, with a hint of moxie. It's simply stunning. Even the wedding gown {above}, though almost out of place amongst the other dresses, is a work of art. The entire collection is really just breathtaking. What I'm Wearing
* Pink satin top is from Forever 21 if you can believe it! {I couldn't} I think I've had it since 2008. It's made surprisingly well and is quite luxurious for Forever 21. {obviously the satin is polyester, a miracle fabric that can literally become whatever it wants}... seen once here in April 2009
* Calvin Klein jeans from 2007 I think. Seen here in 2009.
* Vintage rhinestone necklaces wrapped as bracelets, vintage aqua bangle, thrifted.
* Silver sequined clutch I found at a little shop in the Valley a few years ago that has sadly closed down since. I think I bought about ten of these clutches and gave one to each of my girlfriends for Christmas that year. Carrying an aqua journal just because it was pretty ;)

* Paillette-embellished skirt is a random Victoria's Secret sale find. I bought it BECAUSE it was $20 and wore it once here last Summer {though it's a little big, everything at VS runs a little big}
* Royal blue tank is from Forever 21, ages ago. I got it the same time I got the yellow one I wore last week actually.

* Gray cuff is from Tuleste Market, and a gift from Julie and the large cocktail ring on my right hand is by Kenneth Jay Lane among other stacking pyramid rings from Noir.

What I'm Wearing
* Vintage 70's animal print dress {most similarly to a giraffe print but I could be off} & included tie belt from Etsy shop Jantiques. She has some great vintage finds for really reasonable prices! I also got my halloween "Betty Draper" dress from her.
* Hat: is by THE AMAZING Spring Canyon Hats. They custom made it to my style specifications and then I got to name it! -> You can buy it here: ...love Maegan "Barracuda Fedora" {w/free shipping}. I'm supremely in love with it! {note: it's a charcoal gray with a hint of green}

* Hair: I've been asked on occasion what my natural hair is like and this is it. Here it's air-dried and while it does have body, it's very straight. Whenever it's wavy or curly, I've used something to make it that way.
* Wearing absolutely no makeup, like an idiot... not even lip gloss.

Portuguese DIY interior decor magazine Nova Gente SOLUÇÕES has featured my houndstooth shoes DIY and my sweetest little French Bulldog, LeRoy Chicken Littlepants, in their latest issue. The two pages above are side by side, but I just loved the pretty layout with the houndstooth borders so much I had to use the full-size photos... I only wish I could read it.

| Turn A Necklace into a Headband DIY |

Not a ridiculously original DIY but easy, pretty, and versatile. I was wearing this vintage necklace around my wrist a few weeks ago and playing with it, I randomly held it up to my head, then instantly wanted to turn it into a headband. I love the rose gold and the chevron/leafy/Roman headpiece feel it has. I didn't remove any of the necklace closure parts just in case I want to turn it back into a necklace in the future, but with the band on it, I can still wear it around my wrist, which I love.
* Necklace about 14-17" long - though I have a big head so to test to see if yours will work, lay your necklace over the top of your head and it should hit just below/behind your ears at the base of your neck.
* Elastic OR use a no-slip band in a similar hue like I did.
* Needle/Thread/Scissors
* Lighter
* Cut a piece of elastic or band from 6-8" depending on how long your necklace is. You want it to be tight enough to stay on but not too tight that it slips off your hea...
