I enjoyed all of the shows that I attended during Bridal Market. But without a doubt, the Priscilla of Boston show is one of my favorite shows. For this bridal house to design six wedding gown collections and one bridesmaids collection every season is incredible. What's even more incredible is that they are the true masters of their brand. Every single collection has its own signature statement. Not to mention that the show truly builds suspense as each wedding gown collections slowly descends upon the runway.This year, the show was held in this amazing loft space. Amsale AberraOne of the shows that I was so excited to attend during Bridal Market was absolutely without doubt the Fall 2011 Amsale, Kenneth Pool and Christo shows. Under the direction of the amazing Amsale Aberra, these three bridal lines did not disappoint. The Christos line was all about the embodiment of modern romance and femininity with delicate laces, sheer fabrics, and the ever so softest touches of beading. Totally seeking to establish itself as a cherished heirloom.With the Kenneth Pool line, there was show-stopping glamour with yards and yards of tulle and its signature crystal beadwork. First and foremost... there is no place like the Plaza Hotel in NYC. No place. It is one of my favorite places on Earth. When you walk through the door, you immediately feel how truly special it is to be there. Such opulence and grace and grandeur. Unbelievable. So whenever I am invited to an event at the Plaza, it is extremely hard for me to say no. So I hop on the train and get moving. Lucky for me this time, it was all going down during Bridal Market. The beautiful Grace Ormonde, Editor-in-Chief of the always amazing Wedding Style Magazine held the most fabulous and lush book launch party. I took a much needed break from wedding dresses to scout accessories. I headed on over to Pier 94. Pier 94 was massive. To my delight, I finally met the lovely Meg Lammers of MEG Jewelry in person. Meg created my wedding jewelry (many moons ago) for me and my bridal party. The pieces were so beautiful. I still wear it to this day. Of course, her bridal line was gorgeous. One of my favorite shows during Bridal Market was the fab show by The Wedding Guys. It was so good to see bridal designers that I did not know that much about because they usually are designing gowns because they saw a hole in the bridal market. So their dresses have something very personal to say. As I expected, there was high drama at Ines Di Santo. Drop dead gorgeous dresses with heavy beading and lace and bling. There were dramatic layers of satin and lace with impeccable detailing in beautiful designs. If you have the gams, there were a few short dress including the beaded short dress below. For me, that was it for me. When that dress walked down the runway, I thought to myself that it would make an incredible wedding dress. Love it.
