Graham Peach Float
2012-05-21 23:23:00
It's been a year since I last did a recipe post, so I decided to post another one. I just hope I can do this more often. :p
Here's another recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth. :) The recipe and procedures are basically the same with the Graham Refrigerated Cake, but this time using peaches and adding in some cheddar cheese. :)
Graham Peach Float
Ingredients:
Honey Graham Crackers 2 cans 168ml Alaska Condensada
Crushed Grahams Honey
4 packs 250ml Nestle All-purpose Cream
Canned Peach Halves, cut into thin slices 1 175g Kraft Eden Cheese, grated
1 8x8x4 inch pan
Preparation and Cooking Procedures:
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose cream and condensed milk. Mix well.
Add in the grated cheese to the cream mixture.
Lay graham crackers in a pan. Fill the spaces with crushed grahams.
Add around 1/4 inch thick layer of the cream mixture on top of the grahams. Add in the peaches and add ano...

Mother's Day 2012 and Jaoey's 10th Birthday
2012-05-15 05:17:00
Had a double celebration at home last Sunday, May 13 -- a celebration of Mother's Day and an advance celebration of Jaoey's 10th Birthday.
We were up early last Sunday morning to greet our mom and right after breakfast, we handed our gifts to her. :)
Jaoey also wanted to open his gifts, but since it's still a day earlier than his actual birthday, being the bully sisters that we are, Gia and I insisted that he can open only his gifts come 12am. :p We saw him curling up in bed crying so we finally made him open his gifts haha! :p
We had to try to get him to have his picture taken before opening his gifts. He was a bit mad at first, but after a few tries he finally gave in.
He just got back to his happy mood when he started unwrapping his gifts.
Jaoey loved all his gifts especially these! :D
Daddy already cooked a few dishes in the morning and continued with the rest of the dishes...

All Hands Beach Resort
2012-05-09 03:36:00
Got to spend another Holy Week vacation with Mark and his family. There was only one place that Mark's mom insisted that we go to and that was Subic. Maybe she forgot that it was also where we had our Holy Week last 2010. :p
Mark and I were both busy with work so we didn't get the chance to prepare for the trip. We just searched over the net and eyed on Camayan Beach Resort, but didn't actually get a reservation. :p We went off from Mark's house at 4pm and arrived in Subic after around 2 hours.
At Dinalupian, Bataan..on our way to Subic...
Mark and I after a 2-hour ride :p
When we arrived at the resort, we weren't really surprised that it was already fully-booked. Good thing the resort offers walk-in guests who just wants to swim at their beach so we just decided to get back the next day. We just went back to the free port zone to have our dinner. After dinner we searched for a hotel around the zone, which unfortunately, were all fully-booked. We just decided...

Dining at Valentino Resort and Spa
2012-05-03 22:05:00
Aside from the gym and spa, and the resort's relaxing ambience, Valentino Resort and Spa also has their own restaurant.
The rest of the group already had their share of the dining experience at the resort's restaurant over lunch, but Mark and I just had to skip having lunch with them since we brought our own food. :)
Come dinner time, Marwin suggested that we go out since they already had their lunch at Valentino's restaurant. Unfortunately, aside from a kambingan, there wasn't any restaurant nearby, so we just went back to the resort's restaurant.
While waiting for our food. Galit galit? :p
Mark was on a diet and was prepping up for a competition, so he just ordered their grilled chicken. Mark and I were both expecting a char-grilled chicken, but the chicken looked like it was fried. I guess it was grilled using a turbo broiler. The dish had a generous serving of chicken breast and it also came with a garlic mashed potato and sautéed bean sprouts....

Valentino Resort and Spa
2012-05-02 09:32:00
Most of my close friends in the office had already ventured into different businesses, offices, and even other countries; and so our monthly get together (for the ones left in the country) have been our way of catching up. We usually have monthly dinners, but for our March get together, we planned of having a summer getaway.
We conducted a survey and I was overly excited when Eagle Point initially got the most number of votes. I've been wanting to go to the beach and out of town resorts with only swimming pools do not really get me as excited because there are a lot of them here in Antipolo, one of which is just a few walks away from our house.
So imagine how the excitement turned into dismay when a re-vote happened and almost everyone settled for the next choice which was Valentino Resort and Spa. I was supposed to back out, I even told Joie not to consider me joining anymore, but then again I didn't want to be the kontrabida so I just decided to set aside bein...

Bistro Ravioli
2012-03-29 10:18:00
After my MOA adventure with Mark, we headed to Robinson's Place to meet with his mom for dinner.
After going to and from every floor of the Midtown Wing in search for a place to dine, we finally agreed in trying out Bistro Ravioli. We were all first timers, so Mark and I just took charge of the orders. Ravioli was not in our choices that time, maybe because of our bad experience on raviolis at Spaghetti Factory. But I still remember how much I loved Red Coconut's ravioli though. :p
Now back to the orders. :p Mark's mom wanted to have chicken for dinner and was insisting that we get the Diablo wings, but being not so much into spicy food, Mark just ordered their herb chicken. The dish comes in 3 chicken wings fried to perfection with fries and gravy. The dish may look ordinary but the chicken wings were just flavorful and large too. I enjoyed munching on the chicken wing even without the gravy.
Herb Chicken - Php 235.00
Mark wanted some pasta and was looking at the pasta choic...

Happy Birthday Nurse Gia!!! :)
2012-03-13 00:05:00
It's Gia's 25th birthday today. And since she's out to celebrate with her boyfriend, Jeff, we already had a pre-bithday celebration with the family yesterday.
*My digicam is with Mark, and so the following photos were taken using my camera phone. :)*
Jeff and the birthday girl :)
The family's all complete yesterday--daddy and Gia were on leave, Jaoey was sick and can't go to school, and I was on a work from home shift--so we decided to celebrate Gia's birthday. We had a simple celebration over lunch. Daddy cooked another set of sumptuous dishes which they, including Jeff, feasted on.
Daddy asked me what I wanted to have for lunch and I immediately answered Crispy Pata! I don't really crave for it, do I? Haha! Oh how I wish I could really eat these. :p
Crispy Pata
Daddy also cooked chopseuy which is always a perfect pair for fried dishes. Also good in balancing out the cholesterol from the crispy pata. :p

We also had fried chicken and spaghetti, plus fruit salad for des...

Pan de Amerikana
2012-03-08 08:38:00
Mark celebrated his 27th birthday last February 7. Days before his special day, I was already thinking of places to go for his birthday celebration. He actually told me that he also wanted it to be some sort of an adventure just like what we had during my birthday. Since our schedules didn't permit an out of town trip, we had no choice but to settle for the places here in the Metro. Good thing I remembered Pan de Amerikana, the first and only chess-themed restaurant in the Philippines, which was once featured in a local magazine show.
I immediately thought that Mark would love to visit and dine in this restaurant because, as not everyone may know, aside from being into bodybuilding, Mark also is an expert in chess. :) He was a chess varsity player during his high school and college days and he also competed and won in the UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) chess competitions.
After a 20-minute cab ride from the Gateway Mall, we arrived at Pan de Amerik...

T.G.I. Friday's
2012-02-19 02:59:00
It has been 5 months since Mark came home from Qatar but he still didn't have the chance to be with his friends again, especially our college friends. So when Ian asked me out for some get together, I immediately relayed the invite to Mark. Everything was just planned in a rush and everyone already had their prior commitments, and so what transpired was just a dinner date of us three. :)
I fetched Mark after his shift and we headed straight to Eastwood to meet with Ian. We arrived around half past 10pm and started to rummage the place for somewhere to eat. There wasn't a lot of restaurant choices since it was already midnight good thing we spotted T.G.I. Friday's.
Mark was so hungry so we immediately placed our orders the moment we were seated. A few pictures while waiting for our orders... :)
Ian and I :)
Ian and Mark
Ian's order was served first. Ian was on a diet (or maybe a bit shy because it was also Mark's early birthday treat for us) and so he only got the Grilled Chic...
