Starbird Hill
2011-02-08 18:29:54
In darkness awakening,
First glimpse of snow white,
Brought beauty of wonderment,
Like shimmering diamonds,
'neath new morning’s light.
A frozen paradise waited.
Oblivious to the chill,
Warm mittens and overcoats,
We rushed to the sled race,
Atop Starbird Hill.
We flew down this mountain,
Blustery wind to frozen face,
On a sheet of ice and snow.
Oh, what fun we had then,
In our Starbird race.
And as the day closed,
Its beauty wouldn’t subside.
Sleepy heads in reverence,
Thinking of day’s events,
We gently closed our eyes.
In darkness awakening,
First glimpse of snow white,
Brought beauty of wonderment,
Like shimmering diamonds,
'neath new morning’s light.

Fields of Frozen Glass
2011-02-08 18:29:54
original artwork by author
Mist surrounds a deep dark moon;
Below leaves of innocence lie quiet—
shadows revealing untold secrets
faded within roots
of guilt.
Colours turn softly as our world
turns itself back.
Each moment ticking by
transports us slowly
to an ice-enchanted place
of wonder— barren
where none guilty
of inhumanity
shall reign.
All past is void;
only ice-aged fields
of frozen glass-
shall remain.

Spring's Solicitude

source
With winter's icy breath fleeting,
Spring's solicitude brushes, Divine nectarous orchards, With an ambiance of color.
Softly she summons, The sweetest of blossoms, To deliver the fruit, Of summer ambrosia.

In the Setting of the Sun
2011-01-29 05:15:05
The sun is setting all around usIn the colours of todayIt lights our way with His loveAnd warms us with His grace
From this collage of dreams and memoriesIn waves we ride the tideEach moment pure and lovelyAs two tender hearts collide
Yesterday we sailed togetherRediscovering the truthAnd the beauty of the daysThat we shared in our youth
Today you're far awayYet you feel so close to meI could never have imaginedIt would mean so much, you see
Tomorrow still the futureBut no means to an endI know now that foreverI will always call you friend
No matter where we areIn the end when life is doneMy heart will rest beside yoursIn the setting of the sun

Aurora
2011-01-29 05:15:05
source
Could a name be more befitting,
For a princess of such grace?
Shining like a heavenly star,
She fills your heart with hope and joy.
The hues of the northern lights,
Twinkling in her eyes,
As she gazes into your soul,
You will see it's reflection in her stare.
When she speaks to you of things,
In her woman-childish way,
Something reaches right from her soul,
And tugs at the strings of your heart.
Aurora is a reminder of all that has been,
And a hope for all that will be.
Mother Earth has been so kind,
To bless us with such beauty.

At Dawn
2011-01-29 05:11:13
Awakening at dawn,
the sun's fingers unfolding,
trace rays of color,
across the far reaching hand,
of the sky.

Fairies... a sneak peek
2011-01-25 20:09:45
This is a very tiny sneak preview of the painting that I have been working on in my "spare" time.
Since I haven't updated in awhile, I just wanted you all to know that I haven't stopped creating! :) I'm not sure when I will finish this piece, but hopefully soon.
