2011-11-02 10:40:00
You may or may not know what a huge fan I am of Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampire series. Massive fan! I love this series! This is one of those series where, even if I have a huge TBR pile, I will buy the next book, even if I don't have much money, I will go without something else - chocolate, coke, etc - so I can buy a copy. This is a series I can't wait for. As soon as it's released, I am getting me the latest book.So loving this series as much as I do, and with Christmas not too far away, I thought I'd let you know about the Morganville Vampires Series Ombinbuses for those who think they'll be an ideal gift for people they know or an early gift for yourself if you've not yet started them. The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine Omnibus 1 (released 4th October 2010) - The New York Times...

Review: Swim the Fly by Don Calame
2011-10-29 10:43:00
Swim the Fly by Don Calame (review copy) - Fifteen-year-old Matt Gratton and his two best friends, Coop and Sean, always set themselves a summertime goal. This year's? To see a real-live naked girl for the first time. But this mission impossible starts to look easy in comparison to Matt's other challenge: to swim the 100-yard butterfly and impress the gorgeous Kelly West. From Amazon UKI love reading YA. I wouldn't review it if I didn't. But I have to admit that I prefer YA written for boys than YA written for girls. They're just so funny! So when Swim the Fly came through my letterbox, I started reading straight away. And it's brilliant!I can't count the times I actually laughed out loud while reading this book, or how many of those times I actually sat there laughing for a good while bef...

Review: Abandon by Meg Cabot
2011-10-23 11:31:00
Abandon by Meg Cabot (ARC) - Last year, Pierce died - just for a moment. And when she was in the space between life and death, she met John: tall dark and terrifying, it’s his job to usher souls from one realm to the next. There’s a fierce attraction between them, but Pierce knows that if she allows herself to fall for John she will be doomed to a life of shadows and loneliness in the underworld. But now things are getting dangerous for her, and her only hope is to do exactly what John says... From Amazon UKI hadn't read any Meg Cabot before picking up this novel, but as it sounded right up my street, I thought I'd give a go and see why people love her novels so much. I was expecting to be wowed, I was expecting to be blown away. The truth is, I didn't get any of those things. I was hug...
