Fall Out Boy Split
2010-02-04 04:03:00
Frontman Patrick Stump – who is currently recording his debut solo LP - has confirmed he is no longer working with the group and doesn’t think they will ever return from the hiatus they announced last November.
He told Spin magazine: "I'm not in Fall Out Boy right now. But one way or another, the band will always be around. Steven Tyler isn't in Aerosmith anymore, but his gravestone will probably say something about Aerosmith. Whether we play again or not, I don't know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don't, it will also be for the right reasons.
"I'm really not worried about Fall Out Boy. I'm so psyched about where I'm at right now, recording this solo album."
Following Patrick’s comments, his bandmates Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman also revealed they are no longer in the group.
Drummer Andy tweeted: "I quit too."
Guitarist Joe added on his twitter page: "I just did interviews with Span Magazine, Rabbling Stone and Blunder about how much quitting I done. (...

Beyonce, Taylor Swift Dominate 2010 Grammy Awards
2010-02-02 04:48:00
Female artists dominated the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, with Beyoncé and Taylor Swift leading the charge at last night’s ceremony at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. The I Am … Sasha Fierce singer tallied the most awards, scooping up six trophies — the most ever for a female artist on a single Grammy night — most notably Song of the Year and Best R&B Song for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Halo.”
Swift took home the show’s biggest honor, however, nabbing Album of the Year for 2009’s best-selling LP, Fearless. At 20, Swift is now the youngest musician to win Album of the Year; she won four awards overall, including Best Country Album (also Fearless), Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance (both “White Horse”).
Lady Gaga, who opened the show with a powerhouse duet with Elton John, won a pair of awards — Best Dance Album for The Fame and Best Electronica/Dance Song for “Poker Face” — b...

The talent lineup for Sunday's Grammy Awards keeps growing, but one big question mark remains. Last week, show producer Ken Ehrlich briefly mentioned that both Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift will not be performing alone on the show.

2010-01-26 05:40:00
MANILA, Philippines – The “Thriller” routine of the Cebu dancing inmates captured audiences worldwide, including the King of Pop himself, the late Michael Jackson.
“Michael saw the Cebu dancing inmates on YouTube and enjoyed them immensely. During rehearsals, we would watch and he would get tremendous joy,” Jackson’s world-famous choreographer, Travis Payne, told ABS-CBN Correspondent and Anchor Karen Davila.
Payne, along with two of Jackson’s backup dancers, taught the inmates at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center new routines for a special dance video that will be released to coincide with the “This Is It” DVD launch this month.
The choreographer said it was but fitting to include a special dance number from the now world-renowned Cebu inmates for the special “This Is It” DVD launch.
The Cebu dancing inmates even made it to the “Michael Jackson Opus,” the only new publication that was approved and endorsed by Jackson himself and t...
