JazzLyn did something on Father's day that kind of freaked me out. Then had me doing a lot of researching and reading up on things.

The husband left today. I'm sadder than I thought I was going to be. I think a lot of that has to do with my mental state though.
He'll be flying back on Thursday night so we can have our traditional 4th of July celebration and then flying back up on Sunday night.

Jazzy has 2 bug bites on her knee
all the way home from school she kept talking about speed bumps
and I finally asked her what they were, she told me they where on her knee, and she stopped pulled her pants up and showed me. They look like spider bites.

Today is my grandma's 103rd birthday. My dad's mom. I'm sad I can't be with her since she lives in Illinois and I'm in California.
She is an amazing woman. She was 44 years old when my dad was born. That was extremely old back then (1949).
She's out lived 6 of her 7 kids but she's never let that get her down.
She fell a few years ago and broke her pelvis and then 2 years ago she fell...

Apparently I'm some sort of superhero. I'm supposed to be able to make things happen just because my kids want it to.
Jazzy's glasses broke last week. So I made an appointment with the eye doctor on Wed. Problem is our insurance doesn't pay for the 1 hour service so it will be at least a week before she gets them. This is a problem. A BIG PROBLEM.

I've met many people in my life. Both online and offline. Good, bad, and even the occasional ugly.
I've dealth with ignorance and just plain stupidity. I've seen what that does to my children.
Example. We were at the beach on day and the girls had on these really cute 2 piece. The bottoms were the shorts and the top was a halter type top. Really very cute.
Well not far from us was 2 women....

An amazing turn of events, JayLyn has been my healthy one! I'm in shock.
Last Sunday night (as in a week ago) Robbie came and showed me these little pimple looking things on his legs. Weird. At first it was just one, then 2, then he had 7 of them. Monday morning it was just the 7 so I had the school nurse look at him and she said because they don't itch and they didn't start under his arms...

The husband graduated yesterday. I cried, he cried, his mom cried. It was a great day.
It also feels like a giant weight has been lifted off our family and we will get to see him that much more too! Its great. I'm so very proud of him, but only seeing him an hour a day (if that) was beginning to take its toll....

Every time I call my sister, or my mom, my nephew, Choppy (nickname, relax), wants to sing me a song. Every time its the same song. The final song from Mickey Mouse Club House.
For christmas I bought him the Mouse ears and it plays the song. My sister wants to bury it in the backyard, but Choppy has it wherever he goes. Ha ha ha, the joys of being an aunt.

The night my step dad died, the paramedics gave each of the kids a teddy bear.
Last night when I was putting the girls to bed I noticed that Jazzy's teddy bear had a hole in it. So I mentioned that I was going to have to fix it. She started crying and freaking out. Told me that I couldn't get rid of it because her Papa lived in it.

When my rheumatologist sent my blood to UCLA, his office called my insurance company before they even drew my blood to make sure my insurance company would pay for the tests since they weren't cheap....

Kids brought home their report cards last week. Awesome! Robbie got all 4s (As) and Es (excellent). Jay got all 4s and Es. Jazzy got all 3s and mostly Es. Her 3s are up from 2s from last time. She's doing better now that she actually speaks to the teacher. We are having problems in a couple of areas, but over all she's improved alot....

Back in November the kids' school had a jog-a-thon to raise money for the school. They raised over $17,000. I don't mind that type of fundraiser because all of the proceeds to go the school.
Last Friday they brought home the cheesecake fundraiser. $13 for 6" cheesecake. Its outrageous not to mention the school only gets half of all thats made. I'd rather just hand the school the $13 and go...

I knew Jazzy was getting sick when she went to bed at 4 pm yesterday. I couldn't get her to wake up and stay awake for anything. She slept until 7 AM today when she started throwing up. She's been asleep off and on all morning. I feel so bad that I can't do much to help her.

The kids went back to school today. WOOHOO!!!!!
3 weeks off was plenty this time. They were beginning to annoy me the last week. I know its bad to say that being their mother, but here's a run down of a normal day this last week.
JayLyn wakes up at 5:30. Robbie and Jazzy anytime between 6 and 7.
By 7:15 we've already had one argument over the bathroom.
8 AM kids go out to play for a while....

My beloved Chinchilla, Gizmo, died last night. He was fine yesterday morning, had him out playing, and found him barely breathing at bottom of his cage around 6. I took him to the emergency animal hospital mainly to have him put down because I couldn't stand the thought of him suffering.

Well I just got back from the rheumatologist. On top of having Lupus, I also have CREST syndrome (limited scleroderma). I have to go back in 2 months and he will order a bunch of tests (echocardiogram, scope of my esophagus, all that good stuff) to see how everything is and then continue to monitor everything afterwards. Yes my son has a mohawk. Before it was just the top, but he decided he wanted a full blown mohawk. Normally its not spiked for school, but since today is the last day until April 14th (year round school) the principal decided to make today crazy hair day. After we get back from Las Vegas we are going to make it all one length but he didn't want to cut to much off until then....
