2008-02-11 08:51:00
I haven't written here in some time now.If you're wondering where I went, try here.I doubt I'll be back here anytime soon. In fact, I might actually close this place down permanently....

Our cable has been having a fit lately. Its driving me nuts. Finicky cable equals not reliable internet. Not that I've been doing anything on the internet of importance here lately. In fact, I've really not been on the computer much at all. I'd much rather be staring at the television. But, with the cable going in and out...bah. whatever.Maybe I can find a book around here that I've not read yet....

Running Low
2007-12-11 23:17:00
I think I'm done blowing up everyones feed readers for a little while. At least for tonight. Tom and I wanted to buy lottery tickets for his nieces and nephews for Christmas. And then we looked at the bank account and cried a little. Hence the reason for blowing up the feed reader. I sometimes think about what I would do if I came into a lot of money at once. And then I realize its probably better that I get my money slowly and surely...I guess the first thing I would like to do with a chunk of change would be to pay off my credit card. Then my pay off my car... after that, it would depend on the chunk of change.You?...

Special Service
2007-12-11 23:16:00
Have you ever heard of an Air Ambulance? If you’re lucky, this will be the most you ever have to hear about this service. But, if you know of someone who is medically challenged that is in need of being transported across the state or across the country, Air Ambulance is definitely a service worth looking into. Air Ambulance is able to pick up your loved one from a hospital room in Florida and make sure they are completely taken care of the entire time they are being transported to New York! The medical staff on board the plane is fully trained to help any persons with medical issues, whether the traveler needs a Respiratory Therapist during travel or a licensed ICU nurse. Air Ambulance services assess the traveler’s needs before leavin...

Series-ously
2007-12-11 22:47:00
I love the television show Scrubs. Actually, I like most medical television shows... ER, Grey's Anatomy... etc, etc.Anyway, the point here is that I think I would like to have the Scrubs shows on DVD. I've never owned a series on DVD before. Is it weird to sit down and watch the whole season at once? Do you really watch the DVD again, or is it a one time thing?Does anyone have the series on DVD already? Wanna burn me a copy? Plznthx?(ps - ya like that title, huh? huh? I thought I was clever!!)...

Drama
2007-12-11 21:27:00
I used to watch wrestling all the time as a kid. I don't know why. Maybe it was the muscular guys on television. Maybe it was because there was nothing better on television at the time. I really used to be impressed with the athletes and their abilities at the time. Now, any time wrestling comes on television, I cringe. I mean, what is up with this stuff? Its a night time soap opera for men, and that is all. I knew wrestling was staged when I watched it years ago, but it wasn't obvious like it is now......

Remodeling
2007-12-11 20:20:00
One day, once I pull enough extra money together, I am seriously going to remodel my entire house. I mean, there is nothing wrong with my sofa, but it’s not mine. It was a hand-me-down. And, my bedroom set? Yeah, it’s not a set. I would call it Early Attic. Heck, I don’t remember how I came across my bed, actually.I love looking at sites like FurnitureFromHome.com. One day, I will definitely be picking out my own bedroom suite from a site just like this. Which one is your favorite?Their site is beautiful to look at. With its basic set up, you can definitely concentrate on their furniture, than trying to figure out how to work their website....

Huh?
2007-12-04 00:23:00
Don't you hate it when you're in the middle of an amazing thought for a post and then you have to use the restroom. Then when walking to the restroom, you stop at the fridge and check it out, then remember that you have to switch the laundry around, and you put away that pair of shoes that has been in the living room for 5 weeks. You get back to the computer and sit down before you realize your drink is empty and you've not even made it to the bathroom yet! Needless to say, I have no idea what I was going to post about a minute ago....

Help
2007-12-03 23:56:00
I cashed in some of my coke rewards points today and ended up with $75 of simon gift cards that I can use online. I also got $60 worth of gift cards for Tom to some sports website. These are our Christmas presents this year.... which, is fine with me, actually. Tom gets something he wants, I get something I want... everyone is happy. Except, I don't know what I want... I mean, I have an Amazon wish list, but nothing is jumping off that page and says that *I* should buy it now. You know what I mean? I am thankful that my gift cards can only be used online, otherwise I would probably buy gasoline or groceries with them (and don't tell me how to do that, please).Anyways - anyone have any ideas?...

Music
2007-12-03 23:41:00
I love duets. Vocal duets, instrumental duets... I love them. The sound of the notes intertwining makes me smile. And, if its recorded just right, I can literally get tingles down my spine. There are a couple Ben Folds songs that the lyrics definitely make my spine tingle. Ben Folds is a solo artist, but brings in a friend every now and again.I think thats why I enjoyed orchestra so much in school. I got to hear the intertwining of the music from the 'inside'. It was really cool. If ever you have the chance to sit IN an orchestra, you should. Not that I've ever heard of that option being offered.... but... whatever....

Done, for now
2007-11-24 01:20:00
I haven't had a cigarette in a week, I'd say. I've been quitting on and off for all summer, but each time I quit it was because I was having respiratory problems. Therefore, when my lungs cleared up, I started smoking again. Finally, I decided that ... duh ... maybe if I really quit smoking that my lungs would screw with me so much. And, ya know what? I was right.I think I will be one of those people who always misses smoking. And, I will not ever say that I am 100% sure that I will never smoke again. But, I really feel like, at this point in my life, its just not worth it to me to smoke....

Have you ever noticed how law enforcement officers always seem to have everything on their person? Well, its because of websites like 5.11 tactical! There is really a lot of awesome stuff at this site! This site has clothing, watches, gloves and more! Heck there might be the perfect Christmas present for your husband or boyfriend here....

What?
2007-11-24 01:11:00
So, I find what I thought would make a great Christmas present for my niece on Amazon and ordered it weeks ago. I'm super excited to get it, thinking my niece will just be absolutely amazed that I found something so perfect for her without prompting from a list. I'm almost standing out by my mailbox daily, waiting for it to be delivered. Then, Amazon emails me yesterday. Yup. They don't have any more in stock. Go flippin' figure. Now I have to figure out if I want to find it somewhere else and order it again, or if I just want to look for something else entirely. I don't know what I want to do....

I think its fun!
2007-11-24 01:08:00
I absolutely love looking at houses. I love looking at the way they’re designed, trying to figure out the most useful way to use the space and how other people would set up the house if it were theirs. When I was shopping for houses while looking for this one, I looked in nooks and crannies at all the houses we went to see. I thought it was loads of fun! Maybe I should look into being a real estate agent? Hm… that’s a thought!Another thing that I really enjoyed doing was going to a website like Automated Homefinder and putting in all forms of criteria to see what kind of results I got. Like, if my loan was only for $5,000 more, what could I be looking at? Or, if I went into the neighboring county, what are my options? Or, what if I were looking to move to Colorado...

Cross Our Fingers
2007-11-19 17:35:00
Thankfully, Tom's pressure wound is healing nicely. Its been a horribly long battle that both Tom and I are tired of fighting. Yet, about a month before our big party, I told Tom that he could either get up every day and make the wound stay about the same size or worse, or stay in bed and let the thing heal as much as possible. We both knew that Tom would be up in his chair a long time on the day of the party, and that would cause added trouble to the already existing wound. So, Tom tried really hard to stay in bed the whole time before the party. He obviously did get up every now and again, otherwise he would of gone crazy. But, overall it helped tremendously.I think this thing might be healed by New Years. That sure would be great. We've been trying to get it to heal for over a ye...

Vacation Time
2007-11-19 17:32:00
Someday, I’d like to be able to go somewhere for the holidays. You know, like renting a place on the beach for Christmas or New Years, and spend the time enjoying the waves splashing up on the sand. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?Tom and I didn’t really get a chance to travel much before he got hurt. It was one of those things that we figured we’d get around to doing. Now there are a lot of stipulations when attempting to arrange a trip. I need to know the obvious things, like the price. Yet, I also need to know exactly how the floor plan works, or if there is a usable bathroom for Tom.There’s this website called Oregon Beach Vacations that offers great vacation rentals. The prices of their Lincoln City holiday renta...

Yuck
2007-11-16 16:21:00
I hate it when something on the stove burner starts smoking. You know, like if you accidentally spill something small into the catch (or whatever that thing is called), and don't notice it. Bleah. The smell is atrocious. (oooh, good word!)I also hate it when the roommate says the reason that the incident occurred to begin with is because he's out of foil, and has been for a long long time. Well, pretty sure he's not bought any either. Or, even clued me in to the fact that we needed any until JUST NOW.Yeah, its fine. Really. Now, how do I get the smell of burnt plastic out of the house?...

Houston - We have a solution!
2007-11-16 16:20:00
Everyone always wants to look their best during the holiday season. If you’ve struggled loosing weight for a long time now, perhaps looking into a surgical procedure is on your list of things to do. I’ve heard a lot of good things from those who have had the lap band procedure done. They’ve had great results and hardly any struggles. If you live in Texas, you could visit Dr. Richard Collier for a consultation, since he is one of the leading houston lap band doctor there!...

OMG
2007-11-16 16:10:00
Oh my goodness! I think Tom is actually blogging! (Okay, I know Tom is blogging.) He uses voice activated software when writing long items, because it would just wear him out to type it all. Have you ever heard of Dragon Naturally Speaking? This is what he uses. There are a lot of different commands to learn, but if you learn them all, you would not ever need to lift a hand to use your computer! Crazy, isn't it?...

2007-11-16 16:09:00
I love to try to find the perfect present for my friends and family come Christmas time. I think long and hard about which present will be the one they will use the most and treasure forever. Sometimes its really hard to think up a good idea, though. Although no one in this world has everything, there are definitely thoughts of this when it comes to shopping for certain people. Wouldn’t you agree? How easy would it be if someone else made your shopping list for you for Christmas? All you had to do was go and click a couple buttons, fill out your information, and Christmas is delivered on your doorstep? It would be pretty convenient, right? Now, could you imagine that the list you’re shopping from is the Top 10 Christmas Gifts, according to this website, for this year? ...

What color is it?
2007-11-12 15:14:00
My car needs to be washed. In a serious fashion. But, I live down a gravel road. It makes no sense to me to wash my car if I just have to drive home afterwards. The other day I rinsed off my car at the car wash. It cost me $2.00. No, my car was not clean afterwards. But, instead of being gravel grey, it almost appeared black again. For about a half a second anyhow.I wish my road would get paved....

Pests
2007-11-12 15:11:00
Something I did when I first bought my home a little over a year ago was to have it inspected for termites. I have seen on television the damage these little pests can do. I really wouldn’t have the money to make the repairs if those things started eating away at my house! So, instead, I think I’ll check out the Termite Guide and make sure I’m doing everything in my power to keep those suckers at bay!...

TV
2007-11-12 15:07:00
You know what Tom and I enjoy doing? We love watching TV on his laptop. The ones we watch the most online are Samantha Who and Pushing Daisies. We watch these online because he watches something else on TV when those are on. Its really nice to be able to watch the shows in order and not have to worry about getting behind, or having to catch a rerun. I wish all TV shows would do that!...

Let Me Help You
2007-11-12 15:03:00
So, have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Its like, less than 45 days away. Yeah, sorry about that panic, but it’s the truth. Now, how are you going to afford all the presents you want to buy? Have you checked out CouponChief.com yet? I swear there will be a minimum of five store coupons there that you will use. Who doesn’t shop at Best Buy and Wal-Mart come Christmas time? So, hurry up and get on over there. Its super easy to use their coupon codes and worth the time....

Aww!
2007-11-12 14:53:00
One of my friends brought her 19 month old daughter over today. It was so fun to watch her big smile as the cats let her pet them. I loved watching her giggle at the teddy bears also. She was nothing but an absolute angel the whole time she was here, which I guess is pretty typical of her!My friend and I started talking about this being her daughter's first real Christmas. I mean, obviously, if she's 19 months, she was born last Christmas. But, this one she'll be able to interact and enjoy. That would be fun to watch I'm sure!!Its probably a good thing I don't have kids... I'd spend way too much money on them anyhow!...

Blah
2007-10-03 16:48:00
Eventually, one day, I'll finish painting my living room wall. After the bathroom was remodeled, we had to paint the living room wall on the other side of the bathroom, since there was exposed sheet rock there.I've already painted the area. But, the new paint and the rest of the wall doesn't quite match. Its not far off... but if you look at it very long, you notice the difference. I'm really just not interested in doing it though.I think it looks alright enough. In fact, I think I'll put away all the painting supplies. And, if someone complains about the way it looks, I'll show them where the paint is!(Uhm, yeah, eventually I really will paint it.)...

College Student?
2007-10-03 16:46:00
I would be terrified that I would get behind in paying back the loans, and screwing up my credit for years to come. There’s the site called PremierStudentLoan.com that will help graduates consolidate their loans, which will make your payments lower! And, with student loan consolidation, I would think you’d be a lot less stressed about getting those payments made on time! This site also gives you private student loan information, incase you’ve not made it to college yet. In fact, I should check into that, since finances are a huge concern of mine! Heck, there are all sorts of loans to look at here!If you’re going to college, or have recently graduated, you should look into PemierStudentLoan.com. There’s probab...

say Cheese!
2007-09-11 14:38:00
Normally for breakfast, I have a couple of eggs on toast with cheese. Cheese makes everything better, in my opinion.Today I decided to replace the cheese with slices of ham. I know! I know! It was a huge change for me. I nearly had a panic attack. (Okay, I'm totally joking about that.)But, the whole time I was eating my breakfast, I was thinking... why did I screw with a good thing? I'm definitely one of those people that think, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it."Ya know what I mean?...

Save a Tree
2007-09-11 14:32:00
When I closed on my house, I had pages and pages of papers to sign. I don’t know what half of them were about, anyhow. And now, they all sit in my filing cabinet, taking up space. Its like a huge folder of paper! I wonder how many trees were killed just for me to close on my house!? Now there’s this thing called eclosing. The whole closing process is done on the computer! Not only does it save trees, it helps me from having to find a place to store all these papers for the next 30 years....

Bikin' It
2007-09-11 13:13:00
Elizabeth and Tony got me a present! Its a garage sale exercise bike! I'm gunna start using it today. Maybe I'll read my Reader's Digest while doing it? Whatcha think? Hm?!...

Thats one way to look at it...
2007-09-05 22:34:00
For some reason, Cabela's finds the need to send Tom a huge catalog every quarter. We never look through it. Tom does all his shopping from the computer, or by actually going to the store. How do you remove yourself from the free catalog listing? I swear they probably killed 1298 trees by printing this magazine alone. At least by killing all those trees, there are less places to use climbing deer stands, therefore creating less opportunity to break your neck like Tom. Right? Riiiiiight....

Hate your service?
2007-09-03 00:10:00
Have you ever been in a cell phone contract that you just really wanted out of? In 2003, Cellswapper was developed to help those people who want to switch their service. Using this service will remove all the contract holder’s responsibilities and still keep the provider happy because they’re getting paid! Check it out today if you want to change your service!!...

House Hunting?
2007-08-31 05:16:00
I’m aware that most real estate agents make their money off of the commission of the sale. Obviously, the seller and the buyer of the property are basically paying the salary of the real estate agent. What if the buyer were to only have to pay a flat fee, instead of a percent of the sell? Could you, the buyer, imagine working with an agent that isn’t pressed to make the sell because they don’t work on commission?! Just check out Territory Real Estate. Its just as easy as any other real estate web page I’ve looked at, and can save you a ton of money!...

FYI
2007-08-31 01:24:00
I just spilled an entire sliced tomato all down the front of my pants. All the laundry was caught up.I had to throw them in the wash by themselves. Gee, I love paying for utilities. And, I had to throw the whole darned tomato away. That flippin' juice better not stain my pants. I'll be very peeved....

Where are his true friends?!
2007-08-29 06:02:00
I've been scanning through blogs lately. I've noticed a good couple that have talked about Owen Wilson's suicide attempt. Mostly the tone I'm hearing is how people are astonished that he tried to kill himself, going so far as to say that they thought he was happy.Uhm, the dude is an actor. A.C.T.O.R. He gets paid to act. Look it up folks. I would think everyone who is famous is constantly showing the public some form of an act. Obviously, Owen is pretty good at it.Along the same lines, we don't know Owen Wilson. (Okay, maybe someone surfing through and stumbles upon my blog knows Mr. Wilson.) We, as the general public, have no idea what stuff Owen is going through in his life. We have no idea how emotionally stable Owen is generally, let alone when something negative happens in h...
