Is there such a thing? Do you give birth and all of a sudden all you are allowed to wear are high rise jeans and t shirts? Please tell me it isn’t so! I am far to fond of my camo cargo shorts…. my 80’s hair band t shirts…. my eyebrow ring…. I just cannot conform! So with that I am coming off of my hair dye strike and hittin up the Manic Panic isle this weekend and picking up a pot of Hot Hot Pink and a box of Bitter Black dye and going to town! I am doing black on top and pink underneath, and I am so excited I will be making WHEEEEEEeeeee sounds all weekend!
Me having tattoos, piercings, and fun colored hair does NOT change my parenting styles, nor doe sit make me a bad mom so PFFFFFFT on thos ethat think it does! Ethan will probably think I am far more fun with bright pink in my hair anyways.
The stepkids are back in school… in fact this year TWO of them are! JoAnn started preschool this year and by the sounds of her excited yammer when she gets here on Fridays she is LOVIN it! A year or two left and Robert will be off to school too…. I am still debating with myself whether I will homeschool Ethan or not. Possibly he will be attending preschool and kindergarten and then start the homeschool fiesta!
We went and traded in the craptastic van from hell this week and picked ourselves up a Kia Sedona, it’s so pretty and fun… and SIX CUPHOLDERS just in front row is A OK with me!
I had the cold from hades this week, I am so sick of being sick….
Silly is pregnant and bitchier than hell again… I swear that cat is like the slut of the area. She just had kittens in May and is already ready to pop again…. Maybe I need to start chargin these boy cats some moolah and turn myself into a kitty pimp? Only if I get to wear a fedora with a feather though….
I promise to get on more and rant and rave as normal!

| When Did I Become Domestic Exactly? |

I honestly don’t get it! I used to stay up all damn night, sleep till the afternoon, never cooked, rarely cleaned, and was just damn lazy! Then out pops this little baby and all of a sudden I become Martha Fucking Stewart! It’s not even 2 in the afternoon and I have been up since 7, did two loads of laundry, cooked dinner (homemade cabbage rolls, nothing frozen or anything… HOMEMADE!), vaccuumed, have fed Ethan 2 meals, played with the cats, did dishes, and found a moment to write on here! I shouldn’t even be awake yet! I so never knew that parenthood all of a sudden gave you the ability to cook, cuz I used to set carrots on fire (true story!) and ate out more often than anything else…. now I can make actual meals, not three frozen courses slammed toegther on a plate, but actual meals! It’s amazing to me!!!
Anyone else just all of a sudden become a domestic diva overnight? Or am I a freak of nature?? *LOL*

Well tomorrow will be the last Sunday I will have with my baby! Next Sunday he will be one, and I so cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. It seems like that damn pregnancy dragged on for years, and yet this actual year seems like it was mere weeks. That baby I once rocked in my arms is now is a walking (well cruising) talking MAD MAN! He sleeps in his own crib, in his dark room, with his blankie and his monkey; and yet I now miss those sleepless nights with him in bed next to me waking every few hours cuz his tummy was empty, his eyes staring at my with love as he drank his bottle….
Damn how did this turn into a suckfest of weepiness?
Anyways, my baby is gonna be one, and I am dying, yes that’s right DYING, to give him some presents! They are all wrapped as I was sure if I didn’t wrap them they would be used has been toys by now. My favorite thing he is getting so far is the Bounce & Spin Zebra! It’s like a new kick ass version of a rocking horse that lets you spin around and bouce to your hearts content which I am sure will apease the bounceaddict!!!
Becca is comin’ up for the festivities as well and of course has SPOILED the lil booger to bits! I am sure he is gonna be super happy to see his godmom and shower her in snuggles and drool!
Okay I am gonna go lay on the bed and hopefully slip into a GLORIOUS SLEEP!!

I have to first of give kudos to my baby boy! We had him sit through an almost three hour walmart excursion last night, and he didn’t fuss or cry or whine or freak out once! We brought the van from hell in for an oil change and to look at yet another crazy tire and so we had to wander around in redneck shopping bliss for those three hours. There was another family with a baby maybe 2 months older than Ethan there and we ran into them probably five times, three out of those five times their little one was screaming bloody murder and yet Ethan just sat there, happier than a pig in shit, enjoying his favorite store in the whole wide world!
I hate seeing screaming kids in stores, especially when their parent/s seem completely oblivious to said freak out! I know it’s not the parents fault! Kids scream, they think it’s fun, and I don’t blame them…. but letting them sit in a buggy that they obviously do NOT wanna be in is just mean! I am sure there is gonna come a time when Pooky is gonna have said freak outs but I just think that taking them out of that situation will not only benefit me and my son, but the sanity of all walmart shoppers as well! *LOL*
Well I am sure y’all have noticed yet another revamp to the SDB layout! You know I get bored easily, so I mixed it up and am quite happy with the fun new theme! I hope you all like it too!!!

I was informed last night that it had been absolute EONS since I last updated, and OMFG IT HAS! I feel bad, but then I realize where all that non-blogging time is spent and then I feel better. All of my time seems to be sucked up by this ever growing wonder of mine that is going to be ONE in a week and a half! I cannot believe that a whole year has gone by it like what seems like weeks. Ethan is now a giant tall baby, who can do everything but walk it seems… but he can cruise along furniture! In ten days we are having his first birthday party which should be super fun and messy, as the lil man gets his very own cake to demolish and attack!
I turned 29 in June, which means that soon, oh so very soon, I will be at that scary age that sucks you in and makes you “OLD”… I dunno who said that that was the magic age but whoever they are needs a giant kick in the balls!
Well I will be sure to attempt to keep this updated a LOT more often. Sometimes y’all...

Yesterday Becca, CJ, & Savanna came up here for a BBQ, and a fun visit! Becca spoiled lil booger ROTTEN *lol* but he so wasn’t complaining! She got him a new penguin lovie/teether and he is enthralled with it!
We ate tons of YUMMY food and had such a great visit! Hopefully we get to do it again soon!

I don't know how I keep allowing myself to get so wrapped up in everything that I neglect my blog! I need to set aside pure blogging time.
Everything is going pretty good! Pooky is almost 9 months old, and he is moving around like mad! He doesn't crawl, but scoots, rolls, and just makes do, but he is damn fast! He's babbling a lot to, he's gonna be just like his mommy and never shut up!!
Silly, we are pretty sure, is pregnant. She is showing all the symtoms, so it may be kitten time pretty soon.
I am at a bit of a lack for words today, but I promise to post tomorrow a lot longer and funner!

I have no idea why either. Okay already, that’s a lie! See what this addiction is doing to me?
Since having Ethan, well since he was 2 months old (I so slacked off the first 2 months cuz I was in a state of fogginess, and now I regret it) I have taken HUNDREDS of pictures of this child. I mean I take hundreds a month! I can’t help it! I want every single moment of his precious baby/childhood captured so I can treasure it when he is telling me he hates me, storming out of the house, and not returning till the wee hours of the morning. I want to be able to look back and see that cute, adorable little baby that smiles so much and fills my heart with joy; then look at my teenager with bad hair and clothes I hate and know that it’s the same person.
I know what teenagers are like, I know because I was one, and not a good/nice one at that. I was a hell raising wild child, I drank, smoked, cheated, stole, stayed out late, partied my ass off, and scared my mother to dea...

Okay this post is gonna be a bit scatter-brained, cuz I have a few things to vent, share, get off my chest, and the like.
First off I am apalled, confused, scared, and horrified over the Virginia Tech Massacre. This has actually made me stop to think about either home schooling Ethan. I know things like this happen elsewhere in the world, but never in my life have I ever heard of anything even remotely like this happening in Kamloops. Fuck, a 7 year old brought a gun to school last week in OKC, and a teenager shot at a school bus! This is in this state! I am in complete shock, and fearful for my child.
My sorrow and sympathy go out to all the families touched by this horrible tradegy, and yes that even includes the family of the shooter. I know it seems odd, but they lost a child too… whether they knew what he was going to do or not, a mother will always grieve for her child, no matter what.

I loathe feeling sick! My head is pounding, I feel like there is a 20 pound weight on my face, and there is so much snot that I won’t discuss in fear of you running away.
The worst part is all I want to do is crawl into bed lathered in VapoRub and put a hot washcloth over my face and slip into a NyQuil induced coma. Is that gonna happen? Of course not! Why you may ask? Well because I am the sole charge of the sick mini me, who is like a never ending faucet of snot, and is coughing so hard he pukes (I found this out yesterday morning while we were eating applesauce which I proceeded to wear). Ethan does not want to lay in bed and be comatose. Not at all! He wants to roll around leaving a pretty snot trail in his path. It’s quite fun.
I have taken some severe cold medication that Tony had to go through the third degree to get; it’s not working though. Or maybe the allergy medication, dayquil shooters, and throat spray, and not-so-severe cold pills are all coun...

Six months ago today I got married! I so cannot beleive it’s been that long already!! Since I had Ethan time has chosen to fly by…
For instance: my baby is going to be ONE in just over four months!!! So I installed a countdown to birthdayness over to the side. There is also a birthday wishlist for my lil Pooky. This is not a request, I am not stating “BUY US PRESENTS!” This is simply a general list of stuff he would like, or he needs if in fact anyone would like to buy him something. I don’t wanna get flamed with people calling me out saying I’m rude, and how dare I, blah blah blah….
Y’all gotta remember I have most of my family and friends living over 2100 miles away. And except for my mom and Lance, none of them have even met Tony, or seen Ethan (except for the multiude of pictures I bombard people with).

So with time, I crave change… hence the changing of the sdb layout. I think the simplicity should make things easier to navigate around; though I ADORED the theme Becca did for me, it kept screwing up in IE, and I always use IE so I wanted to tinker.
Things still may change around in the next few days, but I think it shall mostly stay like this, just with a couple things added or subtracted.
I hope y’all like it, and find things easier to find!

| Winter Won Rock, Paper, Scissors…. |

So I figure winter and spring were playing and winter won cuz Spring flew away and winter took back over! It was 84 degrees last Monday and now, it’s cold and miserable…. BLARG!
My cousin got married over the weekend in Logan Lake, BC (that’s in Canada for those that haven’t quite figured this whole Canamerican thing out yet). We were supposed to attend, but due to crap we couldn’t. Apparently we missed out on some good yummies and Tony getting to meet a lot of my family; but hopefully we can attend another cousins wedding on 7/7/7.
Ethan is doing much better! His bum is almost completely back to normal, and back to it’s lily white softness, instead of the beet red rashiness.
The cats (well Chilly & Silly) received baths on Monday to fight off fleas and other buggies… Tony wanted to hit up Dubby too, but changed his mind after he picked her up, turned on the water and the hissing and fighting ensued. Chilly did okay for a lil scrappe...
