A "Fresh Cut" & Cookout
2008-06-27 23:00:00
We usally do something called "sleeping in" on Saturdays but today, we got up extra early. First, my Mommy and Pop-Pop took me to the barber shop so I could get my haircut for the summer. Mommy said that the haircut would make me feel a little cooler now that it is so hot. When we finished at the barber shop, we went back home, picked up Grammy, and we all went to the SBC Cookout. My church family has a cookout every year and this year, we were in Fairmount Park! ...

Back Together Again!A long time ago, me and my "trustee blankee" went to visit with family. When I got ready to leave, I forgot to take my blankee with me and I thought it was gone forever. Well, it was recently returned to me and I was glad to see it. I really missed not having it around, especially when I went to sleep.I know that my blankee missed me too and we had a good time together when we saw each other again. My blankee is very special to me and, now that I have it back, all is right with the world.Thank you Cousin Valerie and Cousin Vevelyn for holding on to it for me (Grammy said thanks too)! ...

Biking & Triking On East River DriveToday, me and my Mommy got together with her friend, Abby, and her daughter, Tee'Ahra, for a play date. We all went to a place called the "East River Drive". Mommy brought something for me to ride on called a "tricycle" and Abby brought something for Tee'Ahra to ride on called a "bicycle". While I was playing with my tricycle and Tee'Ahra was riding her bicycle, Mommy and Abby were taking pics and feeding some birds called "geese". We also went to McDonald's and stopped for some water ice on the way home. It was a fun day! ...

My Mommy's New Camera
2008-05-24 23:00:00
"Smile and Say Cheese!"Well, I'm back. I've been real busy helping my Mommy with her new photo blog. She also got a new camera and we've been having lots of fun taking pics of all kinds of things and, of course, a few of me along the way. Here are some of the pics that she gave to me and Grammy so we could post them on my blog. Most of them were taken at one of my favorite places to go...the playround. The rest of them are something that Grammy calls "random" pics that we took around the house. I think that this going to be a lot of fun...we now have 3 bloggers in the house. And, just think, I'm the one who started it all. Good luck with your new photo blog, Mommy. Now, I can get back to the things I do best...running, playing, and having a good time!See you later! ...

It's Mother's Day!
2008-05-10 23:00:00
A Mother's Day Email...A baby asked God..."They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but, how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And, you will feel your angel's love and be very happy." Again, the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." Then, the child asked, "But what am I...

A bag of buttered popcorn and a movie... The Booga Wooga reviews a movie classic...My Grammy brought home something called a "DVD" just for me. She said that it was a movie called "The Wizard of Oz". We watched it together the first time and now, I can watch it all by myself from beginning to end. It is the story of a girl named Dorothy and her little dog that barks a lot named Toto. She lives in a place called "Kansas" with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. One day, something called a "twister" comes and blows everything all around. A window hits Dorothy on the head, she falls down on the bed, and when she wakes up, she and Toto are in a land full of color called "Oz".While they are there, Dorothy and Toto meet a lot of little people called "munchkins", a good witch who floats in a ball, a bad...

The funny thing is, when we got there, she had some gifts for me! She gave me something called a buoy puzzle, 2 toy cars, and 3 storybooks. I didn't know that you're supposed to get presents when it's someone else's birthday too!Shortly after we got there, Ms. Brenda came over to visit and wish Nana a "happy birthday" too. She said that the two of them were going on a trip to a place called "Delaware" later in the day. "Palm Sunday" @ SBC
2008-03-15 23:00:00
Sermons 4 Kids Today was a special day at my church... it was something called "Palm Sunday". I'm still learning my days of the week and I had no idea what a "palm" was but, I found out when we got to church.Pastor Reed talked about a big parade that the people had for Jesus. He said that Jesus was riding down the street on something called a "donkey" and the people waved their "palms" and cheered for Him.After the service was over, SBC gave everybody some "palms" to take home. They were long, yellow, and green. I got a chance to hold some and it was fun waving them back back and forth. When we got home, Grammy took all of our "palms" and put them in something called a "vase". She said that would be a good place to keep them until next week, when we will cele...

A Lesson In "Potty Training"...
2008-02-29 23:00:00
From a Place Called "I-K-E-A"Today, my Pop-Pop and Grammy went to a store called "I-K-E-A" and they took me along for the ride. I usually like the places they take me to but, when we got to this store, it just didn't look like the kind of place where I could have any fun. Boy, was I wrong! After we walked around in the store for a while, we found a play area just for kids called "SMALAND". I got really excited about it, only to find out that I couldn't stay and play because I'm not "potty trained". What a bummer! I tried to explain that I'm working on the "potty thing" and I just need a little more time but, it didn't seem to matter to anyone. You either knew how to use the "pot" or you didn't. Needless to say, I was quite upset. We continued to walk around in the store and just when I thoug...

She got all of your birthday wishes and presents... a vacation to Jamaica, 2 cars, a computer laptop, some jewelry, an enigma, a pet rock, some dentures, and I gave her a chia pet! We celebrated her birthday with a family trip to the movies and a meal at her favorite restaurant, Bahama Breeze, in King of Prussia.Well, I've been 2 years old for one month and 4 days and it's really been fun! Now, I can do all kinds of "big boy" things... like go up and down the steps in my house, knock on a ...

I Need Your Help...Today is my Mommy's birthday and I want to make this the best birthday ever. I'm too young to give her a real birthday party so, my Grammy helped me put together something called a "pretend party". As you can see, the room is all set and you are my guest so, make yourself at home. If you have a minute, please leave my Mommy a birthday wish and/or present. I know that would put a big smile on her face and make her very happy.Thank you dropping by and helping me with the pretend party. Click on logo to learn the history of themost famous little tank engine in the world!Today, me and my Mommy got a chance to spend (something she calls) "quality time" playing with my Thomas & Friends train set. We set-up our own Island of Sodor on the something called the "living room coffee table". I learned how to connect my track pieces but, we worked together to set the whole thing up.I never told you which train pieces I got for Christmas so, I'll tell you now. I have Thomas, Percy, Gordon, Annie, Clarabelle, Harold (the helicopter), Sir Topham Hatt, and 3 circus cars with 3 animals. I also have the Sodor Mail Station and Engine Wash. Mommy said that we can add on more train pieces as time goes on. After everything was all set up, we had a great time playing with it. Even Pop-Pop ...

Breakfast + Lunch = Brunch
2008-01-11 23:00:00
click logo for more information Today, my Pop-Pop got up and decided he wanted to take us out to have something called "brunch". So, we got in the car, traveled to a part of Philadelphia called "Germantown", and went to a place called the "Trolley Car Diner. It was a warm and friendly place...lots of people were there and Grammy said it was like "the place that time forgot". Here is a pic of the old #23 trolley car that sits right outside the diner. It was closed because it's wintertime but, in the summertime, it serves ice cream and you can sit at the tables outside to eat it. This is a pic of the diner where we had our brunch. It sits right next to the old #23 trolley car. Because there were so many people there, we had to give our name, sit down, and wait a little while before our table was ready. Usually, I get really upset when I have to sit still and wait for anything because I like to run around and have fun but, Mommy said that I was being a really good boy today. Mommy decided that she was in the mood for breakfast so, she ordered something called "fish and grits" for us to eat. It was really good...here I am eating a piece of fish. After we ate, we went outside to say goodbye to the old #23 trolley car before heading for home. In case you haven't noticed, I really like trains, trolley cars, and just about anything that runs on a track! Grammy promised that they would take me back to the Trolley Car Diner in the summertime so we can all eat some ice cream outside. She said we might even go at night because the diner lights up and looks even better after dark. I can't wait! ...

The Light Show at Christmas Time!OK, I know we were going to take a break from blogging until Christmas Day was over but, we decided to slip this one in just before the holiday...Today, my Mommy and Grammy took me on a trip downtown to see something called "The Light Show". But first, we stopped at a place called the "Reading Terminal Market" and had some lunch at a place called Delilah's.After we ate, we went to a really big place called a "department store" and the name of it was Macy's. When we went inside, I saw lots of people with little kids just like me. I guess they were all there to see The Light Show too. We came across a couple of nice spots to take some pics...a sleigh-in-the-snow display and the Macy's Christmas tree. After we wandered around the store a bit, we took an elevator ride to the second floor (Mommy let me push the button). When we got off, we looked around for a really good spot to see The Light Show and found one. While we waited for the show to begin, everyone was singing Christmas songs and clapping their hands. Finally, it was time for the show to start. I heard a loud voice coming from somewhere and telling Christmas stories about the lights. At the end of the show, all of the lights for all of the stories lit up and the whole wall was covered in lights! When it was over, Mommy told me that Grammy always took her to see The Light Show at Christmas time when she was a little girl and how much she liked it. Then, Grammy told me that her Mommy always took her to see it when she was a little girl and how much she liked it. Now, wait just a minute... how old is this Light Show anyway? Oh well, I'm glad they took me to see it...I really liked it too!And now, for all of my family and friends who don't live in Philly, you can watch The Light Show right here, right now. Just click the play button...Enjoy! ...

A Night To Remember
2007-12-13 23:00:00
Sights & Sounds of Christmasin Havertown, PAI would like for you to meet my Grammy's good friends, Rev. John and his wife, Dale. Rev. John also works with my Grammy and they have known each other for a very long time. They invited all of us to come out to a place called Havertown for an evening of Christmas cheer. First, we stopped and got a bite to eat at a nice place that had steaks, hoagies, pizza, hamburgers, and one of my personal favorites...french fries!Right next door to the place where we ate dinner, there was a store that was full of all kinds of trains. Of course, my favorite thing in the store was a table-top train set of Thomas & Friends on the Island of Sodor. I saw Thomas, Percy, Gordon, Annie, Clarabelle, Sir Topham Hatt, and all the gang! Use It or Lose It Vacation Day
2007-12-12 23:00:00
Lessons in Eating Pizza1. First of all, always hold your pizzaproperly and with a firm grip. 2. Never allow yourself to be distractedby the TV while you're eating pizza.3. If your pizza has several different toppings,it can be fun to pick them off andeat them separately. 4. When you are really enjoying your pizza, close your eyes and it will taste even better!5. If anyone is foolish enough to think thatthey're gonna take your pizza, just cut thema look that says, "Don't even think about it!"Sick Leave UpdateWell, I got my wish! By Monday morning of this week, my Mommy decided that it would be OK for me to return to day care and she went back to work. But, because I still had something called the "sniffles" and the weatherman said that we were going to have something called an "ice storm", Mommy thought it might be better if I stayed at home today. My Grammy had something called a "use it or lose it vacation day" so, I just kept her company all day. Pop-Pop had a Christmas party at his job and when it was over, he got off early. When he came home, he ordered a pizza to celebrate. I had 1+1/2 slices and it was really good. Mommy stayed at work late because her job had a Christmas party too. I can't believe that she didn't take me but, that's OK...she missed our pizzaparty@home! ...

Puttin' Up The Christmas Tree 2
2007-12-08 23:00:00
Did You Put Your Tree Up Yet?I'm still fighting a cold but I wanted to help my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop put up the Christmas tree today. I wasn't about to let a little cold stand in my way! I remember all the fun we had doing it last year... Mommy dressed me up in a Santa Claus suit, I got a chance to play in the Christmas tree box, and we put all kinds of things on the tree. Grammy even started something called a "tradition". She got me a special thing called an "ornament" to put on the tree. It was a tiny sleigh with my name on it. When we finished with the tree and turned the lights on, it was really something to see! This year's "Putting' Up The Christmas Tree" was a lot dif...

2007-12-07 23:00:00
God Bless You! Well, I didn't get a chance to help my Grammy with any more blog posts this past week because I got sick with a cold. I was sneezing and coughing a lot. Mommy said that I felt a little warm and had something called a "fever" so, she decided not to send me to day care on Thursday and Friday. I really missed Ms. Bea, Nyeisha, and all my friends but Mommy said that I might make them sick too so, I had to stay at home. She stayed home (and didn't go to work) so she could take care of me and did all kinds of things to help me feel better. We even wrapped up in our blankee and watched "Thomas & Friends" together for hours!Click logo to enter website! ...
