The Cherry QQ is cute, but there's scary stuff underneath the "good looks".
Of all the Chinese car-makers, Chery QQ is probably the most famous, and one of the most successful.
The company was founded in 1997, and made a name for itself by famously "borrowing" the design of the Daewoo D'arts, otherwise known as the Matiz.
This did land the company in some hot water with Daewoo's owner, General Motors, although the situation has since been resolved, with Chery being allowed to continue churning out Matiz clones.

Time flies by so quickly when tons of stuff are at hand. Oh well...
So far we've filmed 4 episodes of Blogger's Treat and yesterday we've distributed out episode 2.
I know... I know... Where's the backstage previews I promise right?
Erm... Give me a little more time, and I will reveal all the dumb-dumb stuff as well as the set backs that happened during the filming. Scouts honour!
Okay. Before I take a nap and go out for another meeting, here's the highlights of Blogger's Treat Ep 2.
"Today", we feature Hillary Chan (you know... Nic's girlfriend), a Malaysian girl working in faraway Singapore missing her "hometown food".
What "hometown food" are we talking about?

Now people, pardon me for the not-so-fluent chit chat during the "show", I'm still getting the hang of the whole "hosting" thingy.

This is not new. In fact, news about it has been spreading since late February.
For most of us that are somewhat involved in YouTube one way or another, we would probably not put the words "YouTube" and "high-resolution" within the same sentence.
I mean, seriously, quality is definitely not what YouTube is all about. But all this is about to change?
It turns out there is a little something that you can add on to the end of a YouTube URL to have it play a high-resolution version of the same video. (But of course, the video has to be somewhat of higher resolution to begin with, logically speaking that is.)
Here's the catch.
Apparently not every video has been re-encoded into the higher quality version yet (if ever).

Apparently, it wasn't "fans" she wanted to check out but "fence"!
It's not big deal I guess but this happens really too often.

The concept for Blogger's Treat revolves not only around "user generated content" but "user-user generated content". How so, you ask?

This is totally ridiculous!
Just the week before, Teddybear spend 7 full days in Germany to attend some conference thingy (in other words, it's a business trip).
Supposedly, this next trip is due in June, which means I get to see him almost everyday, as per normal.
Sadly, in an turn of events, in shortly 7 hours time, my dumbass Teddybear is leaving town for another conference in Malaysia, KL, for 3-4 days.
It has only been like a week and *poof* his off again! This is sooo totally... Wrong?

Well, at least that's what Ellouisa Chen from ST Forum thinks. Even though I have to say that most would probably NOT agree.
"It's Singapore, serve us in English first, please"
Ellouisa Chen wrote an article at ST Forum that caught quite a bit of attention.
She started off commenting how displeased she was with the fact that whenever she step into a retail boutique, she was always greeted by the sales assistants in Mandarin instead of English.
Although she claims that this isn't about speaking in Mandarin equals mediocre service. But "attacks" were somewhat made throughout the article.
Yes, English is the universal language. However, when you talk about Singapore, though having a mix of cultures, on an ratio, the majority of Chinese living here still surpasses those of which are foreign.
What's my point?

He is a 25 year old good looking guy from Blue Springs, Mo. After graduating from Central Missouri State University with a degree in graphic design, he brought his aspiring music career to Tulsa. His friend's from Tulsa believed that even he graduated from college; he would always be a performing artist.
David Cook auditioned for American Idol Season 7 in Omaha, Nebraska. He actually does not have any plans of trying, he just supported his brother Andrew and then when he gets there, he decided to try it for himself. He made a great performance singing Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer".

I've come realise that I absolutely CANNOT put aside something to blog about for later, cause when later comes, I might lose the urge to blog about the thing I wanted to previously.
Like the day before, I was going to blog about the Pullip Dolls, a trip to Kimage, and I-can't-remember. (Saw an old friend at Kimage, who happened to be my sister's TEACHER!)
I said I'll do it the day after, but I end up waking at noon and went shopping with my sister, Celest, at Far East for the WHOLE DAY!
By the time I reached home, I find myself having so much to blog about and having to go through so many photos, I don't feel like blogging about any already!
(Which is bad.)

Blogger's Treat is about a "food show" that looks to showcase bloggers and their favourite eatery. (It could be your neighbourhood Kopitiam or it could a small cafe that the blogger frequents or likes the most.)
Due to certain "restrictions", and of course, to not bore the audience. Each episode is designed to fit into a 10 minutes time slot.
Anyhow.

Roughly 12 hours ago I was saying something like,
"I'll be back after collecting the Pullip Doll with my sister and her boyfriend."
I was kinda expecting to come home and blog after that. But well... Things didn't really turn out the way I expected it to.
For one, we didn't manage to get Ala (the name of the Pullip Doll), which was pre-ordered like 2 weeks ago or something. Instead, my sister bought another doll in Ala's place while waiting another week for the stock to come in again. (Using my money yet again!)
In most cases, after spending so much on something, an individual would feel a little pinch to her pocket. But for this case, since I was the one forking the cash out... Well, you get the picture.

I'm not sure if you guys know but even though I design Blogger (aka Blogspot) skins as well as WordPress ones on the side, my blog is actually running on a Drupal platform. And I'm actually a huge Drupal fan.
As for Flex, I can't really say the same.
Anyhow.
I saw a interesting post today and came across the new Flex Image Module for Drupal.
The module uses a Flex interface to search for pictures on your hard drive, allows uploading via drag and drop, and incorporates a Google search for images.

Since mid of 2007, I started designing FREE download-able Blogger skins (Blogger as in Blogspot) for bloggers to download.
In the later part of the year, the number of skins designed cut down drastically, and for quite some time now, I've not created anything new.
Recently, I've decided to converted my first Blogger skin to WordPress and fully widget-ized it.

Alexa has been a very useful indicator to see how much traffic flows to a website/blog and the level of popularity of it.
However, the major flaw in the system is that it only counts the visits from those who have installed Alexa Toolbar. Which to be honest, even I don't bother installing. Which also means that my own hits to my blog will never be counted.
To somewhat solve this problem as per claimed, Alexa has made a great improvement to change its algorithms, and have taken multiple sources into consideration. (Don't ask me what kind of sources, it wasn't clearly defined.)

Ever since the Xbox 360 2nd Anniversary Party @ Screening Room on April 3, 2008, I've not been going out that much. So, if you notice, I've not been blogging much about my life either.
It's a good thing and a bad thing at the same time.
The good, I suppose, is that with the extra time on hand, my post count has significantly increased as compared to other months.
The bad, well... Obviously it's not as interesting, I guess. It's a blog after all. Why would people come here to read about news or stuff that happens in Singapore, or around the world right?
