Harvard’s basketball star and captain Jeremy Lin, recently written about here, is now one of eleven finalists for the Bob Cousy Award (for best college basketball point guard), and one of thirty-one finalists for the John Wooden Award (for best college basketball player). Past Wooden Award winners include Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Tim Duncan.

New Wii Zelda Playable at E3
2010-02-05 00:14:42
Even though the Nintendo Wii is probably the most popular current gen video game console on the market most hardcore gamers have had a hard time picking up their Wii-motes. This is mostly due to the lack of games catered to the hardcore market since most Wii games are designed to be played by casual [...]...

Lee Byung Hun To Receive A Bigger Role In G.I. Joe Sequel
2010-02-03 22:44:49
At least Paramount knows how to capitalize on what was actually good in last year’s G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA. It wasn’t the “acting” of Channing Tatum or the misplaced “comedic” flirtations between Marlon Wayan’s “Ripchord” and Rachel Nichols’ “Scarlett” (Scarlett is Snake Eye’s woman!!!).
What made the live action G.I. JOE film even half way [...]...

‘Bad Apple’ Stop-Motion Animation
2010-02-02 22:37:00
Mind blowing stop motion animation involving a web cam and 6,566 still photos of printed bitmaps.
Most people will probably think that some form of photo-editing post production was involved in the making of the animation. Instead, the animation is very lo-fi in it’s production. The creator of the piece simply changed camera positions and adjusted [...]...

2010-02-01 21:08:35
Korean actress Kim Yun-jin is arguably the first of the Korean Wave to actually have a successful Hollywood career. She’s played the character “Kwon Sun-hwa” on ABC’s ‘Lost’ for five seasons and will continue to play her in it’s last season (which premieres on February 2nd).
The Chosun Ilbo has an article discussing Yun-jin’s career, her [...]...

Jeremy Lin – Harvard Hoops Star With Pro Potential
2010-01-30 00:11:11
Jeremy Lin is a possible player of the year candidate and is one of the main reasons for Harvard’s new found college hoops success. He’s also considered a prime NBA prospect.
He’s also Asian-American.
Of course I’m extremely proud of Jeremy’s accomplishments so far, but the fact that his skin color almost always overshadows his accomplishments in [...]...

Koreans Rule The World of Texting
2010-01-28 23:14:18
I suck at texting. I can barely type more than 5 words per minute with a number pad. So it always amazes me when I see these young kids type out full sentences in a matter of seconds.
But in the world of texting the Koreans reign supreme. The first ever Mobile World Cup was held [...]...

BAY RONG/CLASH official trailer
2010-01-25 22:58:59
The Vietnamese martial arts period film THE REBEL was, to me at least, the break out film for the Vietnamese film industry back in 2007. Who would’ve thought that a film starring a Vietnamese-American stuntman (Johnny Tri Nguyen) and a Vietnamese model/pop star (Veronica Ngo) would be so dramatically good. Or that it would prove [...]...

It coincides with the upcoming dvd/blu-ray release of THIS IS IT which documents Micheal Jackson’s last rehearsals for the tour he never got to [...]...
