Strangely Happy
2008-07-17 15:57:56
Have you ever wonder why things are beginning to be much brighter? Sure, every now and then we get these. It's the much desirable side of "panahon panahon lang yan". And the weirdest is it all started waking up with a song that made your entire day till when your heart permits you to be happy. God must be smiling down on me. 'Cause "Oh Lori" played. I had the biggest smile painted all over my face. Guess I really live up to the character of Romeo from Shakespeare's kick ass work along with my name Romeo. :p FYI : Romeo is a character with emotions all over the place and with the intensity with words like "extreme" can only describe. This applies both for the ups and downs.Right now, I feel so sorry for myself before anything like this happened to me. I was as depressed as Tony Stark. If I'...

Doing GFX
2008-07-13 04:33:51
It's been a long while since I've been very active in doing GFX stuffs. Since February last year my daily GFX routine is dwindling till I stopped. Now I'm logging in to AR to see what's new in graphic designing. Sadly, there're only a few people in AR who I spammed with. :p Almost everyday I was posting my works to see how much I have to improve and also CNCing (comments and criticisms) other people's works. However, my forte is in tag making and I've been missing out a lot in making large pieces 'cause specifically, I'm not used to making stuff in big spaces. Tags are usually between 350 px - 400px wide and 90 px - 150 px high and vice versa. Bottom line is tags are known for those sizes. I guess I've to work on my tag making before I move on to LPs. Well, that is if my work allows me to w...

While killing time at the office, I made myself an avatar. Look look...I know that only girls should be in "cat ears mode" or "bunny girl mode", but Hayate's a little bitch to be a man though. :D...

Getting Yourself Out of the Proxy
2008-07-09 13:43:51
It's common among developers to be troubled with their private internet connection which is made available by proxy servers. Now say you're writing a class library from Twitter's API and would obviously be needing internet connection...proxy servers would be needing username and password so that your library get through the proxy and send request to the site. And so...public string ReturnSteam(){ string result; HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(url); Stream receiveStream; StreamReader readStream; HttpWebResponse response; WebProxy proxy = new WebProxy([Proxy Server Host], [Proxy Server Host Port]); proxy.Credentials = new NetworkCredential([Username], [Password], [Domain]) request.Method = "POST"; request....

The Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo and the Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common Namespace
2008-06-24 20:38:21
SQL Server 2005 comes also with a .NET assembly upon installation. It serves as a SQL Server replicating edge for developers. Which for me personally, is a kick arse. Let's get down with the coding shall we...The Smo namespace contains a method that returns all database server within the vicinity of the workstation's domain.DataTable servers = SmoApplication.EnumAvailableSqlServers();Not a handful eh? Next comes to logging in to one of the said servers. Like SQL Server, there are Windows authentication and SQL Server authentication logins within the Common namespace. Server name can be obtained from the DataTable we have filled in. So hint, hint? DropDownList or anything that has an ItemCollection property. Take note of the parameters from the code belo...

Double.NaN() is Dangerous
2008-06-12 10:53:44
The funniest thing about this is that when the parameter for the static method NaN of the Double class/type (Double.Nan()), isn't a number, there isn't an instance of it that it doesn't return true. Seems like I've got to find a new method for checking parameters if it's convertible to double. Though I know the answer's just right around the corner. ...

Usher - Love In This Club
2008-06-12 08:52:04
Well I'm liking a few hip hop/R&B tracks nowadays but that don't make me steer away from loving heavy metal, jazz, soul, funk and classical music. Let's just say that I like to move my scrawny bod a lot. Which in this case can be made apparent by Usher's shit... Usher Featuring Young Jeezy - Love In This Club (feat. Yong Jeezy).mp3 - ...

Hayate no Gotoku
2008-06-12 05:09:56
I got a bit of a clue that this anime would be a comedy, but I was in for a blast when I know it was that crazy. And what's crazy for Romeo is "hot dang it!" crazy for other people. I felt relieved that the anime didn't have that cliche plot. The good thing about it is that it doesn't need that ecchi humor to get people to smile. Well, HnG's got the humor minus the bare skinned fan service shots. Okay sure, there were some fan service shots. But there were a lot of gags that'll make you forget about the fair sking ladies we have here. :DOkay, so the storyline breaks down like this: We got 16 year-old "made for fighting" Ayasaki Hayate who's running away from a notorious gang 'cause he's parents owed them like 150,000,000 yen. It so happens that he met Sanzenin Nagi, the "richer than shit"...

Trapping the Double Click on Button Controls
2008-06-07 13:09:18
Some GUI users are overzealous of their habit of double clicking on buttons wherein in the back of their consciousness that buttons aren't meant for double clicking. So what's a good developer to do about it? Well...<asp:Button OnClientClick="this.disabled = true;" Text="Submit!" runat="server"></asp:Button>With those kinds of attibutes for the Button, it should disable the button in an event of clicking on the button. Take note of the OnClientClick attribute. Throw this up in your page and it should say a thing or two on users double clicking on buttons. :D...

Season End Blogging :D
2008-06-05 11:41:00
God dang! Just now I watched the video of Ben Stiller, Jack Black (awful comedian), and Robert Downey Jr. aka Tony Stark (fcuk yeah!) gettin' jiggy with an American Idol finalist. And boy can I be amused. I'm still having that Iron Man epidemia. The epidemia could be attributed by the soundtrack they had, because it's been awhile since I saw a damn good movie with most of all, a damn good sountrack. Why I'm head over heels over the OST? Metal music, kid. You gotta hand it to whoever is the music person in the movie, but choosing Black Sabbath's Iron Man is for my book, legendary. Jon Favreau made the movie in a way it is metal in its image. So the ode to the Iron Man movie's over.I've been with my phone for the whole day. Piles of text messages and some calls enough to diagnose me with epi...

The Int32.Parse, Int32.TryParse, and the Convert.ToInt32
2008-06-05 11:40:40
Okay now, brothas and sistahs. Let's see what's all the rubbish about the Int32's static methods Parse and TryParse and Convert's ToInt32 (also static). The main difference among these is what form of inputs are they able to convert and what exceptions they throw when prolem arises. And so...Converting normal numerical valuesstring numString = "455";int outIntNum = 0;Int32.Parse(numString);Int32.TryParse(numString, out outIntNum);Convert.ToInt32(numString);No problems with these. All methods successfully converted the string to an Int32 type. The presumptions is that the string is numerical. DUH! Moving on...Converting numerical values with decimal digits...string numString = "4.55";int outIntNum = 0;Int32.Parse(numString);Int32.TryParse(numString, out ou...

Of Typecasting and "As" Keyword
2008-06-05 11:40:26
It is most common for applications to convert a data type to another one, most famous is from string to int and vice versa. And the most common ways to convert data types is the use of type casting or with the "as" keyword. So what's so distinctive between these two. Answer:If you read my previous post about converting to Int32s with Parse, TryParse and Convert.ToInt32 you'd pretty much get the drift of this. For instance:string numString = "17";int numInt = (int)numString;int numInt2 = numString as int; Both ways would work just fine, except for the fact if that the type cast sees that the object to be converted is of undesirable format, it would return an exception while as the "as" would yield a 0 for the numInt2 variable. A little research in the MSDN got me into this blog post. :D...

Weirdest World Records
2008-06-05 11:38:36

This Is How We Get Down
2008-06-05 11:36:07
Some people spend time with their other half (you get the point) with romantic dinners, having coffee at pimped coffee shop, getting "God dayum!" in the club. Different activities for different types of people, yeah? Personally, we get to the latter at a few times and lemme tell ya, it's something to laugh about. And a bit of raging chromosomes involved, but something trivial anyway. It's a good thing we both adore wathcing anime and reading manga. The weirdest thing we haven't able to do yet is reading manga together. I don't know, but I think that'd bore us like looking for Wally. We are soooo into anime that we plan to look for an original cosplay getup for Ayasaki Hayate and Sanzenin Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku. That'd be cool. We we'd be like getting into character at toy or anime cons...

Energy Level's Improportionate to Fun
2008-06-01 12:45:28
So okay people. For those I've personally known you could say that I'm pretty much hyped out all the times. Like I'm high from cocaine without actually taking the drug. This here's a good boy BTW. Anyway, I've getting into clubs lately and I gotta say...my having fun is boding ill to my energy level. Seems like I've been missing in a lot of vitamin intakes. Just awhile ago, me and my significant other shoot some hoops in an game arcade place nearby and woo were my hands heavy! People would appreciate my company if I was always this loud crackin', bara-bim-bara-bum sunnuva gun. That's why me be takin' a lot o' vitamins. Savvy? My hope of me getting at least a bit fatter is now in the shitter. But hey, keeping me from sickness counts too. I may be this scraw...

You're A Senior...So Do It Right
2008-05-27 03:43:55
I'm a junior software engineer who strives for perfection inthe quality of my code and the quality of the whole thing aka my application. And so, it is with my strict preference that codes should be well indented and variables are named well with the proper naming convention. Alas, these rules are broken by this senior software engineer who gets by the all mighty fcuked cut and paste method. The codes aren't indented in the right place, the obvious unneeded codes are still commented which are sometims about 200 or so number of lines. Let's not go how she writes her pages. The fact that in a using loop you have to instantiate a NetworkCredential object via a constructor in a foreach loop, would obviously cause problems when a bulk of data is in play. But still, her undisciplined methods wou...

I Don't Mean to Be Cheesy
2008-05-21 11:05:41
Hey front and center boys and girls. I would just like to convey to you that yours truly is in a really good way right now. We already have our name calling. Male calls female "Milady" and female gets back at male with "My lord". I couldn't care less if people would call us crazy, but hey it's our world anyway. It's either you haven't met people like us before or you just couldn't understand what happiness we're having.Anime and manga are our interests and our craziness wouldn't keep us bored. You could say we're the noisy tandem. :D...

When's the Last Time You Heard It Like This?
2008-05-17 20:56:50
Who would've thought that I'd be drinking and dining, went home with a headache bothering me and still manage to get the will to haul my ass over at the office early? Well, I do. I'll retire for the night. But then again...I'd really like to get my hands on every single video of Gordon Ramsay smacking people around with his quick wit and world class culinary prowess. :D...

How to Feel Stupid Without Even Trying?
2008-05-17 20:56:31
Well see, I was looking at some pictures the other day and I got a good gander of something I wouldn't like to convey just yet. Man did that hurt. I was intending to have an even better relationship anew. But then did I realize that I was really into it. Jealous has always been my favorite feeling along with suicidal tendencies and being a faggot. Haha. Sarcasm. Because of this I had post-office-hour-drinks with friends without the regard of my own wallet. I just needed something to take my mind off it.Well, boys and girls, jealousy for some people is part of a very deep relationship. It's hard to get rid of it. It's just that the partner should be sensitive enough to know whether their significant other is getting jealous to avoid making inadvertent actions which would lead them to petty ...

Shakugan no Shana
2008-05-17 20:56:18
It's been a while since I made an anime related post. So here is. This anime was well made. The story was thick and contains the feeling of a very long anime for a 24 episode anime, which I realy like. If you've to watch this, you better catch up with the terms or otherwise the story would leave you behind. The guys who made SnS got a great idea of the main character, later called, Shana with blazing red fire for her hair.If you'd ask me the thing I really like about SnS was the voice acting. I'm not sure if the seiyu's were well known, but they I can tell they got experience, especially the seiyu of the Marcocius character and the Margery Daw character. Another thing is how they give titles to their "fighting" characters. Shana for example after claiming her "Flame Haze"-ship is now dubbe...

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
2008-05-17 20:56:04
This one's a messed up anime which got into the interests of an army of otakus. Maybe Suzumiya Haruhi wanted for this to happen. Hmm...The manga is very different from the anime in terms of how they drew the characters. Haruhi is a hundred times barbecue hotter than the manga Haruhi. Watching Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (The Melancholy of Suzumiha Haruhi) is like watching Pulp Fiction. You really don't know what the fcuks going on, 'cause the order of the storyline wasn't chronological, at least that's how the full anime series in DVD was made. Showing the anime in that way just got me all interested of the whos, the whats, the wheres, the hows and whys. And of course, I was always finishing each episode with the "Hare Hare Yukai" dance. If I've the time...

Nitty Gritty About Tree View Nodes
2008-05-13 11:32:13
Just like any collective objects like the Menu control's MenuItemCollection, TreeViewNodes can also be data bounded. It's just a simple :MyClass[] myClass = MyClass.SelectDataViaQuery();TreeNode treeNode = new TreeNode();TreeNodeCollection tnCollection = new TreeNodeCollection();foreach (MyClass mc in myClass){ treeNode.NavigateUrl = mc.LinkTo; treeNode.Text = mc.Title; tnCollection.Add(treeNode);}And that's it. This boring blog post just wanted to share some fundamentals of rarely used web controls. :D...

International Moe League 2008
2008-04-26 14:08:58
Before I knew it, the league already began and lots of votes already casts. Well *ehem*...Moe is the term for something that possesses the appealing characteristic. Suiseiseki for example with her "desu" antics and her naughty pranks is strangely considered moe. And believe it or not...there's a contest for that, where female anime characters are pitted against each other in a round robin tournament. Here are the 2008 contestants.Clannad (6)Kyou FujibayashiKotomi Ichinose Nagisa Furukawa Tomoyo Sakagami Fuko Ibuki Ryou Fujibayashi Kanon (5)Nayuki MinaseSayuri KurataMai Kawasumi Ayu Tsukimiya Shiori MisakaNegima?! Disabling Textbox Part in FileUpload Control
2008-04-23 11:55:31
I've wonder how to disable the textbox part of the FileUpload control and somehow found a solution by adding an onKeyPress and onKeyDown events to the control.protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e){this.fileUpload1.Attributes.Add("onKeyPress", "return false");this.fileUpload1.Attributes.Add("onKeyDown", "return false");}And that's it. The user can only be able to successfully upload a file via the Browse button, rather than typing in the textbox....

Some Good Validators
2008-04-23 11:54:04
One advantage of object oriented programming is to easily organize objects in such a way that it is recognized as assigned to a specific tasks. This in mind, it is most advisable to group generic validators in one class. And what more to do good validating than to use Regex class (System.Text.RegularExpressions)...public Boolean GenericNumValidator(string x){ if (Regex.IsMatch(x, @"^\d+")) return true; else return false;}public Boolean MonthValidator(string x){ if (Regex.IsMatch(x.Trim(), @"^\d{1,2}")) if (int.Parse(x.Trim()) > 0 && int.Parse(x.Trim()) <= 12) return true; else return false; else return false;}public Boolean PhoneValidator(string x){ if (x.Trim().Length > 50 || x.Trim().Leng...

Distractions? Gimme a Break...
2008-04-23 11:53:46
Oh how I wish I could get my self esteem back. I could get it back, but it's in the sh!tter. So if I could get it, it's all covered in sh!t and it'll take awhile for it to wipe it off. I'm hitting rock bottom now. So this is how it feels like. I've nowhere to turn to. I feel so abandoned. I got no one to talk to. There's no one to comfort me. Yeah yeah! Boo hoo! Make fun of me now! Say "You're just like an emo motherfcuker, motherfcuker!". I've lost my credibility to some people now and I couldn't get it back. Clearly, this is karma. And how I hate it. I do care what people see in me. If I don't like what they think of me, it's nothing I could do. I don't have to explain to them anything, rather I'd convey to them what I feel and would just stop there. I'm surfing my a$$ off in the interne...

The Lonely Wolf *Sigh*
2008-04-23 11:53:33
Ladies and geantlemen!! Yeah! I spelled like that 'cause I wanted to. I've pondered here and there and realized that I'm really beginning to feel the darn loneliness. Well no good complaining about it now 'cause I had it coming. Maybe out of my subconsciousness is why I'm into blogging and surfing the net (What the fcuk! Fcuking cockroach just got on my foot!) more than ever. I've never been bored in surfing the net. I got myself into reading news about lots of things. But hey, I won't be surfing forever, would I? That's what got me thinking. Sure, back in high school I have friends, but I'm not always the one needing company. Getting older just built up the fact that everyone else must have friends to hang out with. In college, I didn't mind going to school alone, eating lunch alone, surf...
