Due to recent deaths related to SAF training, all instructors had been instructed to carry out effective but yet safe training for all personals (NSF and NSman). During my IPT sessions the PTI (Physical Training Instructor) were all very concern over our safety and every now and then will ask if everything was fine and if we could not take the training we should sound out or at least slow down our own training pace to suit our health.However it takes 2 hands to clap hence even if SAF were taking extra effort in ensuring that our safety as NSman were taken care of we must also take the extra step in ensuring that we do not go over our own limit. A year had passed again and once again time for us to meet up at City Hall again just like last year only this year the people who join us reduced by 2. Yup both last minute got stuff to handle at work hence cannot join...Anyway we met at City Hall MRT at 6.45pm (as usual most came at 7pm instead) and we had a buffet dinner which of cos for us was pretty worth it since all of us were guys. Tons and tons of food were served to us and we happy ate, chat and talk cock till 9.30pm when our 2 more NUS mates join us. Yesterday evening just went to my first IPT for this year and I must say am I tried or what. Guess I need to train up myself more if I wish to stay fit and be able to get some $ from SAF and to free myself from all the pain and suffering.For those of you who do not know what IPT is well it is a 1 month long program which prepare you for IPPT (if you do not know what IPPT is then you dun have to worry about what IPT is) and during this 1 month training you will be expose to the various static training to improve or at least maintain your current health status and if possible achieve a pass or silver award in the IPPT.For those who think that IPT is an escape for RT (RT a 2 month long program for those who failed IPPT) you are wrong man. It all ends in less than 3 days... I am quiting 9Dragons and this time not becos I am tired of the game but rather of something rather technical. Remember I used to post something on how to run 9Dragons on Vista becos that time there are many problems getting the game to run on Vista hence I did some research and share my findings.This time I am using XP and my wife using Vista and yes you guess it right... 9Dragons now work perfectly on Vista and not on my XP system... In a period of just 2hours I had to manually closed the game application 4 times with each rebooting my system. That is just how serious the game actually crash my system. Damn piss with bus service no 5 and I can tell you this is not the first time I complain about it. Last year I had made a similar complain about no 5 frequency too little and all is single deck especially during the 9am and 6pm period where everyone go or knock off from work. Thinking that SBS would improve and well they did (put 2 double deck into the service 5 fleet) but what they did still did not help to improve the situation and I will tell you why...Usually I would wait about 20 minutes for service number 5 bus on either direction but today when coming home from SIA Training Center I waited for a nice 1 hour and still no bus. You are not riding any premium service bus but rather that is the fine you will have to pay if you misusing the concession card and this fine applies to all commuters be it adult, child or senior citizen. So as long as you misuse the concession card be it by using one when you are not suppose to or using one that belongs to someone else you are exposing yourself to the risk of being fine.Other than the $50 for the misusing of concession card there is also another fine of $20 for non-payment or under payment. During lunch today when over to the SingPost NTUC with the rest of my lunch kakis and got introduce to this new game by them. Feeling abit lucky I decided to buy $5 but then later change my mind to buy $10 instead (and I am glad I change my mind).Bought the 10 coupons went back office and started scratching them and man am I sad when after the 7th coupon I only won $1 (still a $9 lose). Luckily when scratching the last coupon I got $10!!! Am I lucky or what! For the rest of my lunch kakis well everyone won something although some not able to cover back what they had spend. Recently proven that most application when accessing more than 100,000 files in a single folder (each file about 500kb size) will cause the application to hang and even terminate. I tried running a Windows batch script to access such a folder with about 300,000 files and my script actually terminate 3 times with running out of memory as the exception. So if you have a folder with more than 100,000 files do group them into small folders so as not to hang your application.By using Windows Explorer to access such folder although Windows will not hang but it will take a freaking long time before you are able to get see the files and during this period of time you Windows will also freeze. Got my first red card from UOB and it is the new UOB Now Card which is to replace the Visa R which I had been holding for the last 7 years without using it much at all. Got it thru the mailer but becos I was away for In Camp Training I only got it a few minutes ago when I went down for a night supper at MacDonald's.Was looking thru the benefits of the new card as compared to my old card well at least this time they give me more discounts and one of the main reason I would prefer this Now Card is that there is a free movies before 5pm for all Mondays till 30 Nov at The Cathay Cineplex. It might sound hard to believe but during my recent in camp training I run into the situation of no food for 2 days during the out field training. I was no under going any special training where I must hunt for my own food but rather I was told that I will be having fresh rations through out the out field period of 4 days 3 nights.
