The First 5 Minutes of Our Day
2008-05-13 11:24:44
This is the way that our mornings usually start whether it be a weekday or the weekend. It’s 5:55 am and everyone is sleeping soundly in their respective places – Simon and Shelly in their crates on the opposite side of the bedroom, and Scarlett on the bed, tucked neatly in that space just above [...]...

Stuffy Appreciation Day
2008-05-08 13:12:22
Please join us and our furry four legged friends from around the blogging world in celebrating “Stuffy Appreciation Day“. Stuffies have long been under appreciated and it’s time to give proper recognition to all the plush and squeaky birds, monkeys, pigs, snowmen, snakes, balls, shoes, christmas trees, bones, etc. that make our days worth [...]...

Our Celebrity Profiles
2008-05-07 13:50:29
I noticed that other doggies were taking the dogster celebrity quiz and since I had a few minutes to kill, we too took the test. What do you think of the kids’ results? At least no doggie was Brittney
This is Simon’s results. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Just looking at him one [...]...

Hey, look who’s visiting!
2008-05-02 11:21:44
We received some sad news last week that our new friend, Cooper the poodle passed away. We were just starting to get to know him and we couldn’t wait to hear about all his cool stories that he alluded to at the end of his posts. So what a surprise it was, when we went [...]...

Around The House (Spring has Sprung)
2008-04-24 10:35:48
Spring came a little early this year, jump starting plant-life asleep from the winter. Our Azaleas were particularly greening up and buds were popping up all over it. I have had to mow the grass 4 times already this year!
Then we had a freak frost last week. The azalea that was so close to being [...]...

World’s Shortest Game of Fetch
2008-04-21 10:34:22
The weather was so beautiful over the weekend so we spent the day outside doing yard work. When we finished for the day, we cleaned ourselves of the dirt and grime that comes along with said yard work and settled down to relax for the rest of the evening. Unfortunately, somedoggy had a bad case [...]...

Around The House (Glass & Porcelain)
2008-04-18 08:01:12
For this weeks “Around the House”, I toyed with the sepia setting on the camera. The birdy is made of glass and the flower, porcelain. I think they turned out pretty cool but I wouldn’t want to use that setting too often. I could get the same, or even better, effect using photoshop.
Spring has definitely [...]...

Hip, hip, hooray! for cousin Maggie for being chosen “Pet of the Week” in her local newspaper. She’s a cocker spaniel too and we think she’s pawesome Sometimes she comes to visit us and we can’t keep our noses out of her nether-regions – and she doesn’t even care! We miss you Maggie, so [...]...

Around The House (the Cockers)
2008-04-11 10:45:46
For this weeks’ “Around the House” series, I strayed from the in-animate animals that live in our house and captured “these little beauties” in the words of the late Steve Irwin, just begging to be photographed.
The first two are of Shelly and the last two are Simon. Where’s Scarlett, you ask? Well to be perfectly [...]...

A Little Under The Weather
2008-04-08 11:11:04
Simon has been battling an eye infection on and off for the past month or so. We brought him to the V-E-T a couple of weeks ago and have been giving him drops three times a day. The infection has cleared up but he now has a slight fever and he’s been having trouble getting [...]...

Around the House (Rhino)
2008-04-03 09:24:23
As promised, the “Around the House” series continues with a couple of Black and White photos of a metal (brass?) rhino. He also lives in the living room. To answer a couple of questions from last weeks “around the house” posting – No, I didn’t sculpt the scary pizza monsters. I wish I was [...]...

The most cutest little Boston Terrior, Petra, gave us this Hip Blogger Award. We’re not sure how “hip” we really are, but we’re honored that she thought of us
We’d like to pass it along to our Delta Bunny fur-friend, Freda and to another Boston, Ike, ‘cause his tongue totally has a mind of [...]...

The FleasGang and I have started a new series here on the blog entitled “Around the House”. Plus we found some neat-o settings on [...]...

2008-02-28 18:55:41
We have this little metal-type door stop that I’m not sure when/how we got it. Simon noticed the “family” resemblance so I thought I’d share it with you.
We’d also like to thank Chef (and all the doggies that signed the petition thus far) for passing on the info on his blog about China and their [...]...

Myron Cope, Signing Off
2008-02-28 09:43:58
The Steel City is mourning today. Myron Cope, legendary newspaperman, television personality, and most importantly “voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers” has passed away. Cope was to Pittsburgh as Bob Uecker is to the Milwaukee Brewers. Best know for his “tell you like it is” style and thick ‘burg accent (if you’ve ever heard him, you’d [...]...

China, Stop Eating Dogs!
2008-02-19 16:15:04
It’s official. China has pissed me off. Not only are they trying to kill our dogs with poison laden “food”, but it seems that they also have an appetite for fido. I understand the whole “culture” difference argument, but seriously. Dogs were never intended to be used as food for humans. How could anyone walk [...]...

2008-02-05 10:43:13
Did you ever wonder about those cute puppies that star on Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl? | Abbigale, the real MVP |
2008-02-04 10:40:30
Puppy Bowl IV aired on Animal Planet before, during and after Super Bowl XLII last night and this years’ batch of puppies didn’t disappoint. They were full of high-octane energy combined with soft fluffiness and razor sharp puppy teeth. The “game” was played with relatively few penalties except for the occasional yellow flag for “splashing [...]...

Just in case anyone was wondering, the FleasGang are NY J-E-T-S! fans (yes, we know they stink) and also pull for the Pittsburgh Steelers since that is the area where Pop grew up. But this weekend, we’ll be the biggest NY Giant fans in the U.S. of A. – Sorry Dory! And Brady is so [...]...

Our good friend Gus (whom we’ve never met because he’ll eat us), had a little bit of surgery on his knee last week. Now he’s sporting a cool blue cast with little smiley faces. Unfortunately, he seems to have lost his smiley face after the surgery :-). Isn’t his new fur-cut to die for? We [...]...

The Golden Globes were boring, but . . .
2008-01-28 09:18:44
With the writers strike in full force, the 2007 Golden Globe Awards were a bust. NBC actually tried to squeeze all it could out of the “extravaganza” by airing the reading of the winners, live. Boring!
So, in the spirit of awards shows past, the FleasGang have recently received two, count ‘em, two awards. The [...]...

With tomorrow being the Carolina">South Carolina Republican Presidential Primary and next Saturday being the Democratic Primary, we got that queasy feeling in our stomaches because we noticed that the Tad/Joey I.D.P. ticket has gotten little to no attention here.
So we took it upon ourselves to organize the “grass roots” and kick it around the “stump” [...]...

Well, the weather has FINALLY started to change here in South Carolina. It’s been unseasonably warm and absolutely beautiful. We met a new DWB’er the other day by the name of Poppy. He’s a sweet little chihuahua and he has a problem. He had disc troubles which required surgery and now he’s having a hard time making his legs do what they’re supposed to do. This breaks our heart. We know all too well [...]...

Just another beautiful South Carolina sunset as seen off of our office balcony. The picture actually doesn’t do it justice. The sky changes from bright orange to the deepest red you’ve ever seen as it sets – and it’s been doing this every evening for the past week or so.

Does your pooch aspire to be the next Jeff Spicoli? Does she get “amped” when you go to the beach and she sees you “riding the tube“? Does he think it’s “gnarly” when you’re “rippin” the waves “toes to the nose” or laugh at you when you get a “sand facial“, thus ingesting a [...]...

Scarlett has found a new place to sleep – under the bed in the guest bedroom. So Shelly and I went on a hunt for her last night. If you make it through the entire video, you’ll not only see how the hide-and-seek game works, but also Shelly’s patented nubbin’ wigglin’.

Our pup pal, Meucci isn’t feeling well. If you’ve ever visited the Fleas Forum, you probably saw him there. Meucci is a little Boston Terrior like Joey and Tanner, and Ruby Bleu. Recently in Northwestern Pennsylvania (my home state), this photograph was taken of a creature believed by many to be non other than the world famous Big Foot (not THIS Big Foot).

This past weekend, our cocker spaniel cousin, Maggie came to visit! She’s a “party” cocker and we don’t just mean that because of her colors :-).
