I shot this picture of an office building in Trento (Trient) / Italy two weeks ago when I spontaneously visited Michael. Spontaneous trips are always the best ones :-) It was very fun although Trento has not much nightlife to offer. Anyway, it's a very lovely city and I can highly recommend it for a visit!
Dieses Bild eines Buerogebaeudes entstand in Trient (Trento) / Italien, als ich vor zwei Wochen spontan Michael besuchte. Spontane Ausfluege sind immer die besten :-) Obwohl Trient nicht viel Nachtleben zu bieten hat, hatten wir eine Menge Spass. Trient ist eine sehr schoene Stadt und ich kann nur empfehlen mal einen Abstecher dorthin zu machen!

Oh holy Sh..! It doesn't stop to rain here in Austria. It's cold, wet and uncomfortable. Yesterday we even had to make fire to not get perished by cold. Can you imagine? It's middle of June! I claim sun and warmth! ... and please 'pronto'!
Another thing that really annoys me are those people with one or more flags on their cars to state their deceived patriotism in hard times of "football war". What the hell is the point of that?!
But probably I said enough :-) If someone claims me of intolerance, it's probably the weather that made me say those harsh words of truth :-) This excuse isn't working very well, is it?
No harm meant! Have a nice one and don't drown in water or sadness!

I don't remember where I shot this picture. I guess it was in Altea/Spain. Anyhow, this church not only has cruxes on the roof but also lots of antennas and cables. May they boost the transfer rate of the connection to God. Who knows ...
Ich weiss nicht mehr genau wo ich dieses Bild aufnahm. Ich vermute es war in Altea/Spanien. Diese Kirche hat nicht nur Kreuze auf dem Dach sondern auch viele Antennen und Kabel. Vielleicht wird dadurch die Transferrate der Verbindung zu Gott erhoeht. Wer weiss ...

This is a wedding picture of Henna and Petri which I took on the 29th of February 2008. Henna and Petri came from Finnland to Innsbruck / Tyrol to marry and have their honeymoon. After the wedding we drove to Schloss Ambras to take wedding pictures. They did a great job and we had lots of fun during the shoot! I hope to see you again some day!
Dies ist eines der Hochzeitsfotos von Henna und Petri, welches ich am 29. Februar 2008 machte. Henna und Petri kamen von Finnland nach Innsbruck / Tirol um zu Heiraten und haben dies gleich mit ihrer Hochzeitsreise verbunden. Sorry for the long pause of posting. Unfortunately I have a lot on my plate and very few time for my beloved hobby. Anyway, I am working on some changes to free some time and to post more regularly ...
I didn't post a picture of Ireland for ages. Here we go: This one shows the famous Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs are at the west coast of Ireland and very near to Galway (by the way the city we loved most in Ireland!). I think we do have to go to Ireland soon!

I just remembered the awesome time we had in Spain this year. Oh, I wish I were there right now! This picture was shot in Altea old town. I love those tight alleys, nice buildings and a perfect blue ocean in the background :-)

In these days I am very happy to see some strong colours because the weather is very bad here in Austria.Thats why I posted this picture of a very strong colored flower which I found in my neighbours garden (of course in Spain and not in Austria :-)
In diesen Tagen bin ich immer sehr froh, wenn ich kraeftige Farben sehe, weil das Wetter hier in Oesterreich sehr schlecht ist. Deswegen habe ich ein Bild dieser kraeftig gefaerbten Blume veroeffentlicht, welche ich im Garten meines Nachbarn gefunden habe (natuerlich in Spanien und nicht Oesterreich :-)

Quite recently I had to shot a portrait of my brother Anton. The picture is being used for print-mail marketing of his new cookery book (you can see it in the background). We had lots of fun during the shot :-)
Vor Kurzem hatte ich ein Portraet meines Bruders Anton zu machen. Das Bild wird fuer eine Postwurfsendung verwendet, die sein neues Kochbuch bewirbt (man kann das Kochbuch im Hintergrund erkennen). Wir hatten viel Spass waehrend den Aufnahmen :-)

Sunup at home in Denia / Spain. Normally I hate clouds but they are great on pictures. Today was a rainy day here in Spain but the forecast predicts sunshine for the next few days :-)
Sonnenaufgang zuhause in Denia / Spanien. Normalerweise hasse ich Wolken, aber auf Bildern sind sie super. Heute war ein regnerischer Tag hier in Spanien, aber die Wetterprognose sagt Sonnenschein fuer die naechsten Tage voraus :-)

| Promenade in Altea |

Altea's promenade is very pretty as it used to primarily be a fishing village with it's whitewashed houses along the seafront. Now the promenade is full of lively bars and restaurants. Altea is one of the best places to visit on the Costa Blanca. The town is set on a hill full of winding streets and topped with the beautiful church with it's blue tiled roof visible from all around. I will post a picture of the church later on.

Yesterday we did a walk to a lighthouse in Altea/Spain. It usually takes about half an hour from the lot to the lighthouse but we were very busy taking lots of pictures and so it took some hours until we got back to the car :-)
Gestern machten wir einen Spaziergang zu einem Leuchtturm in Altea/Spanien. Normalerweise braucht man eine halbe Stunde vom Parkplatz bis zum Leuchtturm. Wir machten viele Bilder auf dem Weg, wodurch der Ausflug gleich ein paar Stunden dauerte :-)

Yesterday we had a great fotoshooting at Anna's practice where she coddles people with Ayurveda, Thalasso and sound-journeys. We shot some group pictures of the team and afterwords some pictures of Anna and two kids playing with some singing bowls. If you life in the vicinity of Innsbruck/Austria and want to try something very restorative visit Anna. I tried nearly all treatments and all were great! Gestern hatten wir ein grossartiges Fotoshooting in Anna's Praxis wo sie Leute mit Ayurveda, Thalasso und Klangreisen verwoehnt. I shot this picture of a chili for my brother Anton's new cookbook and his business cards. His book will be published soon (beginning of december). This is a black&white picture of several pieces of a tangerine. We had to shoot various food-pictures for my brother's cookery book. As for all those pictures we used a light tend, some lamps and a wireless flash to achieve indirect and diffused lighting. I did some experiments on this picture and converted it to black&white. It doesn't look very familiar, does it?
Dies ist ein Schwarzweiss-Bild von Mandarinenstuecken. Wir machten in letzter Zeit einige Bilder von Lebensmittel fuer das Kochbuch meines Bruders. Wie fuer alle diese Bilder verwendeten wir ein Lichtzelt, einige Lampen und einen kabellosen Blitz um eine indirekte und diffuse Beleuchtung zu erhalten. Ich experimentierte etwas mit diesem Bild und konvertierte es zu einem Schwarzweiss-Bild. Es wirkt nicht sehr vertraut, oder?

If you have ever been to the Festung Hohensalzburg in Salzburg/Austria, you may have recognized this view of a crossing of several paths. I took this picture when my brother Markus visited me in Salzburg. The company I work for is situated in Salzburg so I am there from time to time. Contact me if you want to join my photowalks.
Diejenigen, die schon einmal auf der Festung Hohensalzburg in Salzburg/Oesterreich waren, kennen vielleicht den Ausblick auf die Kreuzung dieser Wege. I think it's time for another picture of a kiter. Everytime I see such a photo I feel a strong desire to learn kitesurfing. My mind is quite made up: I am going to attend a kitesurf-class in spring 2008 :-)
Ich denke es ist Zeit fuer ein weiteres Bild eines Kiters. Immer wenn ich ein solches Foto sehe bekomme ich ein starkes Verlangen selbst die Kunst des Kitesurfens zu erlernen. Mein Entschluss steht fest: Ich werde im Fruehjahr 2008 einen Kite-Kurs besuchen :-)

As I mentioned in previous posts there was a fire in our neighbourhood in Spain. This was the view through an old gate showing a burned down tree and lots of smoke. I converted it to black&white to emphasize the moody atmosphere.
Wie schon in frueheren Beitraegen erwaehnt, brannte es in unserer Umgebung in Spanien. Dies war der Blick durch eine alte Pforte auf einen niedergebrannten Baum und viel Rauch. Ich konvertierte es in schwarz/weiss um die truebe Stimmung hervorzuheben.

We found this colorful beachtrailer on a walk at the beach of Denia / Spain. It looks even more funny when attached to a bike. This picture reminds me of beeing in Spain enjoying walks on the beach. Greetings to Melanie and Roland who are there now.
Wir sahen diesen Strandanhaenger bei einem Spaziergang am Strand von Denia / Spanien. Er schaut noch lustiger aus, wenn er an einem Fahrrad haengt. Dieses Bild erinnert mich an die schoene Zeit in Spanien und die Spaziergaenge am Strand. Gruesse an Melanie und Roland, welche zur Zeit gerade dort sind.

This is a night shot of a shop window. It shows a mannequin wearing a fashionable gold coat. I like the lighting and the shadows which indicate the eyes. This is one of the pictures I took during a trip to Munich / Germany.
Dies ist eine Nachtaufnahme eines Schaufensters. Das Bild zeigt eine Schaufensterpuppe, die einen modischen, goldenen Mantel traegt. Ich mag die Beleuchtung und die Schatten, welche die Augen andeuten. Dieses Bild entstand waehrend eines Ausflugs nach Muenchen / Deutschland.

| Red Sphere on Wood || Rote Kugel auf Holz |

This is another picture of my red sphere on a piece of wood. It's not exactly a sphere but I still don't know how to describe it better so that the title gets not too complicate. Anyhow, I always carry this sphere with me. It's a part of my equipment when I am on the road with my camera and lenses.
Dies ist ein weiteres Bild meiner roten Kugel auf einem Stueck Holz. Ich weiss, dass dies nicht wirklich eine Kugel ist. Ich weiss aber immer noch nicht, wie ich es besser beschreiben koennte, ohne den Titel zu kompliziert zu machen. Egal. Ich nehme die Kugel immer mit. Sie ist sozusagen Teil meiner Ausruestung, wenn ich mit meiner Kamera und den Objektiven unterwegs bin.

The picture shows a stranded catboat on the beach. The sky was very gloomy and thus perfect for this shot.
Das Bild zeigt ein gestrandetes Segelschiff am Strand. Der Himmel war sehr duester und somit perfekt fuer diese Aufnahme.
