Myanmar: Is A U.N. Invasion Possible?
2008-05-09 10:10:00
Is this now a realistic possibility brewing over Myanmar? Based on the possibility of undergoing an almost self-imposed Genocide under the Junta? With tens of thousands already dead, and many more deaths predicted, could we possibly see the international community demand the U.N. act through a forced incursion for humanitarian sake?I DO believe this can become a reality, though a hard fought reality. I have little faith in anything positive emerging from the U.N. But on a disaster of this magnitude, it just may be possible. In my previous article I mentioned some comments made by Mrs. Bush during her press conference on the situation in Myanmar. While announcing the aide made available, she had scolded the Junta for being inept. But also for failing to warn the populace of the impending sto...

Book "What Muslims Really Think": Hammer Drops On Credibility
2008-05-08 11:06:00
About ten days ago, I tapped out an article about an upcoming book titled, Who Speaks for Islam: What a Billion Muslims Really Think. Shortly there after, I added a comment regarding an article from jihadwatch.org that cast suspicions on the authors. Apparently, the mis-information runs even deeper. The authors of the book, Dalia Mogahed and John Esposito (prior to my discovery of the Jihadwatch.org article,) were listed with high regard as to their credentials and associations. After discovery of the article on jihadwatch.org, that quickly went south. As I mentioned in both my article, and later in my comment, I wasn't going to hold my breathe. But one could "HOPE" that the info was true that most muslims were moderate. Ever...

The Governments Housing Bailouts: Why Is This Even Being Considered?
2008-05-08 10:18:00
I wasn't particularly thrilled with the idea of bailing out Bear-Stearns. I could partially understand it, but I don't believe it was warranted. And that was a Republican maneuver. So have politics now become a "We must one-up the other's," arena with this push for Housing Bail-outs?Why is this even an issue eating up taxpayer's money to debate in Congress? When did it even become the governments responsibility to bail-out those who made bad financial choices? It's not an area that the government should push it's nose into. That's the beauty of free enterprise and a self adjusting market. Let the housing issue play itself out. Companies fail, new companies emerge. The same goes for the housing industry. Home values ri...

Can't Blame The U.S. This Time: The Junta's At Fault
2008-05-07 11:23:00
I'm actually starting to like the First Lady, Laura Bush, more than the President himself over the last few years. Personally, I still don't believe America is fully ready for a female president, but I don't think she would be half bad in the position. The current situation in Myanmar is an example. At first reports, the death toll was under 5,000 dead but believed may surpass the 10,000 figure. As of current reports, that number has well exceeded 22,000 deaths due to the devastating cyclone dubbed "Nargis" that struck the region. Since very early yesterday, (May 6th,) Mrs. Bush was on the press platform deriding the military government known as the Junta, on several issues. She noted that the government there is "very inept," and mentioned their poor record of human rights. She pounced the ...

More Soldier Insults: Courtesy Of Stephen King
2008-05-07 10:27:00
Ensuring that the liberal torch isn't extinguished by any patriotic folks who really give a crap about our troops is today's topic. Horror author Stephen King tosses a fantastically inane insult at our men and women in uniform, John Kerry style. And we all know what happened to Kerry. For those who wish to see the video of the aging idiot in action of opening the hole under his nose, HERE is the link. Oh, but remember, he said he didn't want to sound like a commercial or a public service ad, so that's supposed to excuse him, or make things all better. WRONG!King has been a pretty outspoken opponent of the Iraq war since pretty darn near its inception. Fine! Great! Fantastic! That's his, or anyone in this countries right. Go ahead and be a Cindy Sheehan all you want. But pulling a Kerry-ism ...

Green Peace Green Lights Nukes: Well Sort Of
2008-05-05 11:39:00
When one considers that Green Peace was originally created to oppose underground nuclear testing, it actually comes as a shock that the founder is now supporting Nuclear Power. Believe it or not, the founder of Green Peace Dr. Patrick Moore, spoke in Boise, Idaho recently. What he had to say was this...."..there is no proof that humans are causing global warming," and he wisely advocated "a dramatic shift toward reliance upon nuclear power." A-freaking-mazing. It's good to see that actual factual data is beginning to make headway against failed computer models, inaccurately generated statistics and celebrity science. The Clean Air and Safe Energy Coalition which Dr. Moore now represents, believes that nuclear power will be the predominant energy source to wean America off of fossil fuels an...

Rep. Sue Myrick's Top 10 List For Islamofascism
2008-04-30 20:32:00
A couple weeks ago, Rep. Sue Myrick revealed a 10-step plan to aide in defending our nation from the influx of islamofascism. That plan is (as described by one commenter, PMK) being quietly buried by our compliant media as well as our politicians...The plan also seems to have gotten the tightie-whities of one Jibril Hough in a bunch. Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte has attempted to equate Myrick's proposal with McCarthyism, or in his terms, Myrickism. "A campaign of fear" was the headlining title for the article in the Charlotte Observer, in which Hough was joined by (D.)Ross Overby who will be challenging Myrick for her 9th district seat.On an aside, it's a shame that those who continue to utilize the "McCarthy syndrome," don't keep up with the news. Or perhaps sinc...

Barack Attack: Was It Too Little, Or Too Late?
2008-04-30 12:10:00
Well, it looks like the racist preacher that Obama could no sooner disown than his own grandmother, has finally been tossed under the bus. Obama spoke harshly of Rev. Wright the other day during an impromptu press conference. But was his speech enough to save his candidacy? And did it come soon enough?I for one, believe not. Oh, it was stirring, with all the denouncements he could pack into the few minutes. But it would have made a greater impact if he gave this speech back in Philadelphia as a part of the "feel good" speech he gave about healing racial tensions. If anything, that would have been his best call. Even I, who am in no way a supporter of the Obama-nation, had to admit that his previous speech was somewhat moving, although still fell short for me.But it turns out as I wrote pre...

Orphans Of The Corn: Stop The Massacre
2008-04-29 12:54:00
Just a few days ago I gave my rant about biofuels, and included an article by Arnaud de Borchgrave. As it looks, neither Arnaud's or my article were far off track. Actually, they were pretty dead on. That Biofuels were of particular fault in the economic and humanitarian crisis being felt around the world. As it looks, the failed mandate by Congress to eventually replace fossil fuels with biofuels such as ethanol, are causing problems the world over. It's hit such a point that the World Bank has called on the G7 to increase emergency food assistance as 33 countries around the world are facing civil unrest due to high food prices and shortages. And the way it's coming out, the proponents of biofuels are to blame. Period. Elizabeth Stuart, a spokesman for the Oxfam anti-poverty group has said,...

Free Speech For Chaplains: Executive Order Needed
2008-04-29 11:52:00
So, for about the last four years or so, Military Chaplains have been taking heat over invoking the name Jesus in their prayers. Slowly at first. But now becoming commonplace. About a year and a half ago, it was supposed that this issue was being dealt with. Apparently, it didn't happen after all.I delved into this issue a bit earlier on, back in October 2007. You can skim through that article HERE whilst also addressing a similar but separate topic; http://hoopyfrooddude.blogspot.com/2007/10/freedom-of-speech-not-for-military.htmlNow, spearheading a campaign to preserve the First Amendment, in the form of free speech for military chaplains, the ACLJ along with Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina are calling fo...

What Muslims Really Think by Dinesh D'Souza
2008-04-28 10:26:00
This was a rather interesting article I came across on TownHall.com today. And one can only "hope" that it's a correct assessment found there in. But from personal experience with the Muslim communities, (both home and abroad,) I have the same thought as one of the commenter's; "It will take more than a few surveys to convince me."The article is entitled "What Muslims Really Think," and was written by Dinesh D'Souza. D'Souza's article is about a recently released book by Dalia Mogahed and John Esposito. The book, "Who Speaks for Islam: What a Billion Muslims Really Think," is supposedly to be one of the first books available that puts tangible data behind the question of muslim thought. The authors apparently have some weight to put behind the work accordi...

Rev. Wracist, I Mean Rev. Wright Speaks
2008-04-25 12:32:00
Well by now you've all seen the news clips, that the Rev. Wright has finally agreed to do a propaganda video, ... erm, I mean interview, since the "Wright-Gate" fallout began to burst the Obama-Bubble of love. Like any now-a-days Hollywood movies, if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the movie.Wright has already told us what we knew to be true. And there's really no need for us to hear him speak again. (And Obama can only wish he wouldn't speak again, ever.) Rev. Wright has made it pretty clear that he is anti-American and a racist. End of story. At least, one would think that to be the end. But nooooooo. Wright had a few things to say when interviewed on PBS by Bill Moyers that just added to the wonderful mind-blowing rants we've been subjected to.Wright spoke of how he is a preacher, a...

Toy Guns Being Declared Evil In Philadelphia
2008-04-23 12:18:00
In the never ending assault on the Second Amendment rights of Americans, the Leftinstra has extended their battle now to, TOY guns. Yes, you read that correctly. TOY guns are up on the debate block of being banned in Philadelphia. Why? Because "Some of these guns look really, really real," as City Councilwoman Donna Miller exclaimed.Yeah, whatever Donna. In truth, Miller is just a bit miffed that a judge has put a temporary hold on a batch of gun laws that had just been enacted in the city, pending a full hearing on April 28th. Apparently the saying is true; Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.Truth be told, Miller is just worried that the Supreme Court will decide in favor of upholding the recent decision in the Was...

Virtual Border Not Working: Well DUH!
2008-04-23 10:37:00
Did anyone really believe that a "virtual fence" was going to prevent anyone from entering the U.S. illegally? What, did everyone suddenly get stupid(er) overnight and think that illegal aliens are descended from a giant race of MIMES or something?I can just see it now, a crowd building by hundreds a day on the Arizona/Mexico border pressing thier noses against a non-existant wall. (Pass the white face paint and berets will ya.) Ooh, virtual wall, you can't travel through here.Please. Give me, as well as my pocket book, a break. Yes, mine and yours wallets took a considerable hit from this pathetic fiasco. To the tune of about $20 million in tax payer money. And now, the original "Virtual Fence" program is being scrapped. Why, you may ask. Well, because i...

Biofuels And Why They Suck: Greed And Crisis
2008-04-22 11:07:00
Say what you want about NewsMax, but once in a while they carry a story that hits the nail on the head. And all arguments fall short of even touching the content. Case in point is an article today by Arnaud de Borchgrave titled, "Greed Fuels Food, Subprime Mortgage Crises."Arnaud's article drives at the heart of much of today's financial and humanitarian problem. GREED. Greed in a manner he outlines as poor lending practices and profiteering driving what is now estimated to be a $1.1 Trillion mortgage crisis. It's now been described as the largest loss of wealth in U.S. History. Sounds about right. The redirecting of corn towards biofuels causing large portions of populations being unable to even acquire sustenance amounts of food. Can we say "Food Riots?" ...

TIME Magazine Author Bryan Walsh Is Going To Hell For Sacrilege
2008-04-19 12:55:00
It's not a matter of IF?, But WHEN! And just depends on which Veteran gets his hands on him first as to what happens to him. I know TIME has it's standard liberal bent like the majority of the media outlets do. But a mortal sin like this, isn't covered by the same "ART" excuse that Andres Serrano got away with on "Piss Christ." This doesn't qualify as art.Walsh is doomed. And heaven forbid I be the one to find him first, as I'll most likely bury a Ka-Bar in his A$$ for this travesty. It would be a fitting end to the bastard. If your wondering what's got me so riled up, Magazine">TIME Magazine has made what can only be described as the poorest choice in history for a magazine cover to promote global warming. And at the same t...

Iran FEARS NewsMax.com..?
2008-04-17 11:44:00
This was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Especially since everyone has seen the credibility arguments, both for and against NewsMax. But apparently, there is some moxie to this as Asr Iran, a pro-Iranian government website is warning against a Kieth Timmerman article on NewsMax.HERE is a link to the original article by Timmerman that the Asr Iran website is warning about, written on Apr. 15th;http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/shiite_Muqtada_Sadr/2008/04/15/88245.htmlAnd HERE is the recent NewsMax article about the warning, written today, Apr. 17th by Jim Myers;http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/Asr_Iran_Muqtada_Sadr/2008/04/16/88531.html?s=al&promo_code=496A-1We can bounce back and forth for years about credibility, but it would be moot f...

Lethal Injections: Back On The Menu
2008-04-17 07:08:00
To be honest, I'm really not sure whether to shout out, "Praise the Lord, and pass the syringes..," or be a bit despondent about the decision. Part of me is glad for the 7-2 decision by the Supreme Court Justices. The other part says, perhaps there should be some white hot movement in ensuring they have the right guy.Reason I bring these two points up is, in California, the state in which I live, we have well over 600 inmates sitting on death row. In a California jail, you have a much higher probability of dying of old age on death row, than the sentence actually being carried out. Depending on the felon's age, that goes from a sizable expense, to a VERY sizable expense. Housing, feeding, medical care, etc. That money doesn't just appear from no where. That's tax payer money giving that cr...

Thank (Insert Deity) For Stupid People
2008-04-16 03:17:00
I believe a big thanks needs to be extended to the stupid people in today's society. I don't mean our average run of the mill Darwin Award winners. They are thanked enough when they completely remove themselves from the planetary gene pool.I'm referring to our "new wave" of stupid people. You know the ones I'm talking about. We've seen them all over the news as of late. The ones who are stupid, AND RECORD their actions for either personal posterity, or because they are even dumber than we even managed to believe was possible. And yes, on occasion, we are blessed with these "bright stars" removing themselves in the same manner as Darwin Award participants. But normally they live to serve as a reminder, that some people, are just plain stupid.Example number 1...

"Jamiel's Law": It's A Good Start
2008-04-15 10:20:00
On March 2nd 2008 in the Los Angeles area, hispanic gang members pulled up next to a black teen walking home from. After having asked him "Where are you from?" they gunned him down. Five days later, the shooter was caught and is being charged with murder. What's so special or unusual about that? Especially in Los Angeles? The victim was 17 year old Jamiel Shaw. Shaw, was not a gang member. Shaw, was actually a good student at Los Angeles High School. Shaw, was also a standout running back on the school's Football team, and managed to garner an MVP title for his Southern League. Shaw had even been offered recruitment opportunities by Universities like Stanford. Add to that, his mother was overseas serving in Iraq.Okay. So. I'm still not seeing anything that really stands out here.Well, the s...

Income Tax Is EVIL: 16th Amendment Needs To Be Abolished
2008-04-14 03:18:00
A co-worker of mine gave me a very interesting article last night. It's about how, to the government, the Income Tax is THEIR "root of all evil," and its creation with the 16th Amendment. It's kinda become like their version of a century old "crack-cocaine" fix. However, in all fairness, I seriously doubt that in 1913 when the amendment was first established the legislators could have perceived the immensity of today's government. I do believe they knew it would grow exponentially, but not ballooned, exploded if you will, to such an unnecessary extent. The article was written by Gary M. Galles (a Pepperdine Univ. Economics Professor) and is found in the Opinion section of Thursday's, April 10th edition of the Orange County Reg...

Cpl. Cesar Laurean Captured In Mexico: Dual Citizenship Troubles
2008-04-11 10:31:00
I wanted to wait just a bit before tapping this out, as there seemed to be some concerns that weren't being immediately addressed by the media. Yes, Cpl. Cesar Laurean HAS been captured, in a small town in Mexico called Tacambaro. NO, he will not be facing the death penalty, as Mexico won't extradite when "death" is on the table. Here's the random details "filler" section. Laurean has been the target of an international manhunt for about 3 months now. Laurean was captured, almost by accident, when he walked up to a roadblock and was questioned. Laurean provided his REAL name, which clicked and got him arrested. Laurean stated he had been living in an avocado field for some time, living off the fruit from trees. Laurean now f...

The Study of Political Islam: A Must Read
2008-04-10 12:20:00
For those who haven't seen it yet, (myself included,) there was a very good, in depth article on Front Page Magazine back in Feb. 2007, that all should read regarding Political Islam. I myself just received it today via an American Congress for Truth e-letter.There is no way I can summarize the article enough and still project it's full force of understanding. But I'll attempt to keep brevity in the forefront. The article is an interview between FPM's Jamie Glazov and CSPI's (Center for the Study of Political Islam) director, Bill Warner.Glazov's interview of Warner covers many, many, aspects of Islam and why the average person today truly understands so little of it. Warner describes the...

Mr. Carter Goes To HAMAS: Talk About Ineptitude
2008-04-10 11:05:00
It's got to be the old age thing. Perhaps not enough Omega-3 in the diet or whatever. But senility appears to have taken full hold of ex-President Jimmy Carter. How else does one explain going from winning a Nobel to embracing terrorists?Wait. This is the norm for Carter. Nevermind. Perhaps I was having a senior moment for forgetting this is the kind of thing we've come to expect from him. Eh, maybe he'll get lucky and be provided the opportunity to enjoy the same luxuries the hostages in the Iran takeover enjoyed for about 444 days.Or has the world already forgotten that as easily as they seem to be forgetting what 19 terrorists did on 9/11? I don't suppose there's too many whole recall an incedent involving a boat named the U.S.S. COLE? Or a meager building in Beirut?
Safe Homes Initiative: Over Our Dead Bodies!
2008-04-08 10:29:00
About a week ago I tapped out an article about a serious violation of rights being pursued by the D.C. Mayor and the cities police department. You can Read About it HERE. Apparently, "the masses" aren't as gullible or naive as the mayor had hoped, as public outcry over the initiative has all but stopped in its tracks. The Safe Homes Initiative, in its original form, would essentially allow D.C. Police officers to show up at any ones door whenever, hand them a sheet of paper for them to sign granting them access to search your home. And then gut the home looking for any firearms or firearm paraphernalia, of which they would remove and either try to indict you for crimes, or destroy the stuff. They apparently don't like the 2nd Amendment much in D.C.Well, looks like the people have spoken, and...

1389 Blog Is Hosting "FITNA" By Geert Wilders
2008-04-03 15:01:00
Fitna has been dropped by pretty much every major hosting site out there, including LiveLeaks. But the 1389 Blog is still carrying it! So if you weren't provided the opportunity to view the film prior to everyone else pulling it in a "fleeing for the hills" panic, you can still find it there. The link can be found HERE.Here is the text link for it;http://1389blog.com/2008/03/30/geert-wilders-floods-1389-blog/Just a few articles back, I had a semi-respectful dialogue with an individual via the "comments" section on shoutwire regarding islam. I know he was giving wrong info. Whether he was doing it intentionally or not, who knows? But I maintained cordiality for the sake of the discussion. But pretty much everything he said, contrasted 100% of what I know to be ...

Libel Terrorism Protection Act S.6687/A.9652 Passes
2008-04-02 11:08:00
Not only is this good news for journalists and authors alike on the issue of First Amendment rights. But this will ultimately be extremely good news to bloggers as well in the future as internet activity is flourishing. This past Monday, (March 31st,) in Albany,N.Y., the New York Legislature unanimously passed the Libel Terrorism Protection Act. Also known as S. 6687/A. 9652, the LTPA bill once signed into law by Governor David Paterson, will defend the free speech rights of those who seek to expose those extremists, and those that fund them from lawsuits filed overseas. The bill was spawned in response to an appalling decision by New York's highest court that they would not defend the free speech rights from law suit...

The Howdy Doody Show, HAMAS TV Is Not
2008-04-02 10:12:00
I guess the "extremist fringe fanatics" that are giving islam a bad name, have enough money to produce multiple children's T.V. shows these days. First we had the Mickey Mouse clone Farfur inciting kids to fight Israel in the name of islam. Shocked?Farfur's show appearances ended when he was gunned down by an actor portraying an Israeli Security agent. Farfur the mouse was then followed up by Nahoul the martyr bee. I suspect you can imagine how that turned out. Then came Assud the Dane/Israeli-eating rabbit. "Shhhh. Be vewy vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits."Now we get more "Martyr-vision" style T.V. for kids from HAMAS on al-Aqsa. This time, we get a puppet show of a Palestinian kid taking revenge, wielding the "Sword of ISLAM," and assassinating President B...

Bad Culture And Bad Government: Newt Gingrich
2008-04-01 12:33:00
I just found an article on Human Events by Newt Gingrich that is worthy of those on both sides of the fence to peruse. Neither side, Dem's or Rep's escape the blame here. It focuses on How a movement of Bad Culture has resulted in Bad Government, and how we are seeing it's effects these days.Newt brings up Sen. Obama's Philadelphia speech. While I personally held little regard for it, as it was a "too little, too late," for me to accept it whole heartedly, Mr. Gingrich brings up a point. He mentions that it was wrong for Obama to focus on racism in the speech, but it does open the door for dialogue to correct the woes we suffer from today. It's said by Mr. Gingrich in the article, "But since the Left -- with its academ...

It's None Of Your Business: Chelsea Has Spoken... Again.
2008-04-01 11:32:00
Far be it from me to be able to determine between when a personal question is being asked, and a campaign relevant question is being asked. Apparently, Chelsea still can't tell the difference either. Now, for a second time a question of whether the "Lewinsky" incident may be tarnishing Hillary's chances at the Presidency has been asked. And once again, Chelsea has replied with a, "It's none of your business," angle. At least this time she attempted (albeit badly) to somewhat sugarcoat it. Spinning it into a "I'm sure there's private things about your family that you wouldn't want asked," when she addressed the questioner.Fortunately, the questioner was later able to make a statement regarding his reasoning of the questio...

Price Per Gallon: A Moment Of Liquid Humor
2008-03-29 19:43:00
We all need a moment of humor to reflect upon every once in a while. Some of you have already seen this. I myself, just got it today from a co-worker. It's a humorous view of the prices we pay per gallon for various liquids. So the next time your at the fuel pump griping about the cost of gas, think of it this way;And remember, all these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are.... when Compared with Gasoline......Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon.Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ... $9.52 per gallon.Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ... $10.17 per gallon.Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ... $10.00 per gallon.Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ... $33.60 per gallon.Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ... ...

Safe Homes Initiative: Give Us Your Guns Or Else
2008-03-27 12:12:00
Wow! I mean just WOW! Talk about a step in the wrong direction. When can we expect the duck walking Geshtapo to hit the scene? Fearing that the Supreme Court will actually uphold the 2nd Amendment, D.C. officials are taking the matter into their own hands. And in a big and wrong way.The Safe Homes Initiative being instituted by Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia, are doing a "door-to-door" search for weapons. Essentially, they show up, hand you a slip of paper that you sign agreeing to let them search your house. They will remove any and all firearms and related paraphenalia. Attempt to discern if any of it has been used in a crime. If they have, your fried, if not, they will conveniently destroy the weapon(s) for you. Oh, by the way, they give you the choice out of...

The Religion Of Peace: Site Highlight
2008-03-25 08:46:00
Thriving off of the current wave of "tolerance& diversity," (not to mention force) one shouldn't be shocked that islam is one of, if not THE most rapidly growing religion today. But most people have no realistic knowledge of islam. Nor the real history behind it. Hence, many myths and false ideals circulate. It's interesting that I should choose to start (on occasion,) to tap-out an article here and there about other blogs/sites. Blogs/sites that in some ways, perhaps many ways, share the same thoughts I have about the situations in the world today. And the site I chose to bring up in this article is The Religion Of Peace.com.Why did I pick this particular site? Well, most people (myself included) who have decent knowledge of the history and blood tra...

New Gun Laws Or Just Better Ones: Perhaps Both?
2008-03-24 08:44:00
Okay, as it stands, I believe in the right to gun ownership. I believe the Second Amendment guarantees it. Anti-gun pundits keep pointing to Virginia Tech and other shootings as reason for MORE laws. I say different, as seen by the Appalachian incident, we could use BETTER laws, NOT more laws.Perhaps though, there are situations were BOTH can be had together. And some students not happy with waiting for something to be done, are stepping up to the plate to get something done, as can be seen HERE.But during a "BS" session on my lunch break last night, something interesting was brought up. And that is the factor of varying cultures in America. As we've been seeing lately on news story after news story, we are no longer a "melting pot of cultures." One of my co...

I Hate Sports, But WTF Was That CNN?
2008-03-24 07:52:00
I'm not one who is given to really care much about sports. And that is easily understood if anyone has ever read my previous article about what would happen if I ever took over ALL sports. But I do have to admit, I admire Hockey for one reason...And that's for allowing them to pummel the piss out of each other for thirty seconds or so when there's a problem between players. What's NOT to like about that? Unlike other sports, when players have problems with each other, they rant and rave afterwards when the cameras hit the locker rooms about how "so-and-so" is a "this or that." Then two days later we hear of a sports figure getting shot, or shooting someone, or some other form of incident. You don't see that much, if at all in hockey. There's a problem? They ...

Turmoil Plagues Democrats: Then And Now
2008-03-20 11:39:00
Christopher G. Adamo has an interesting article today on the GOPUSA.com website titled, "Democrat Turmoil Reflects Liberal Dysfunction." It's considerably more in depth than my article (Catch-22) from a short while back. But he essentially says the same thing. Democrats are in trouble. My article basically narrowed down what many people have been noticing happening over the years to the Democratic party. A deep shift in the core values that Democrats once stood for no longer exist, or barely exist. Adamo's article deals more with the current plights facing Democrats. Those being mainly the rifts caused by the dual minority candidates. Both of which have serious problems of their own.Obama has not only a race issue to deal with, but a wife who's comments ...

More Good News Out Of Iraq? ABC Only Network Finding It
2008-03-18 11:30:00
You know, I really have to hand it to ABC as of late. I mean it really must be hard on the media lately with a serious lack of bad news emanating from Iraq. I wrote about this once a few weeks back. And now, it looks like I must give ABC Kudo's again."Fair and balanced," seem to actually be resonating through the halls of ABC's headquarters as the media's overall rating's have plummeted to all time historical lows. The bias runs so thick that you couldn't cut through it with a 40 megaton explosive device. ABC seems to want to change that. When I wrote my last article regarding this subject a few weeks ago, I mentioned how ABC was the only network reporting on the progress and advancements bein...

Rev. Jeremiah Wright: Obama's Swift Boat?
2008-03-17 11:34:00
So, the weekend has come and gone. We've all seen the edited/bleeped clips on the news. We've all made the trip to YouTube to see the UN-edited clips. And what do we make of it? Can this Rev. Wright be the swift boat-like torpedo that sinks the "Hope & Change" Obama Love Boat?[First off, let me make this clear for the flamers; I'M NOT PICKING SIDES FOR OR AGAINST OBAMA. This is just informational in regards to the situation.]It quite possibly could be, when a couple factors are taken into account. One item of contention is that until now, Obama's minister and church have almost no mention in regards to Obama's campaign. Save the occasional mention to deflect the "He's a muslim," factor. There's more info about this HERE, and HERE.As mentioned in the MRC ...

The Nanny State: An Authors Notes
2008-03-14 10:54:00
Townhall.com had an interesting article yesterday by David Strom titled, "None of Your Business!" in respect to the Nanny State effects we all are beginning to feel, and see.Strom's article covered the various aspects of how social engineers have swayed the thinking that essentially, stuff that's bad for you shouldn't be allowed. Such as smoking, or unhealthy eating that leads to obesity. The reasoning? Expense. How unhealthy people cost overall, more to care for in the long run.Apparently, this is not the case. Strom's article takes note of a study which says this; "Well, according to a study performed by the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, those unhealthy fat people and smokers turn out to be just that: actually cheap...

Expiring Tax Cuts And More Pork: Wait, That's Not Good
2008-03-14 10:11:00
Well, there you have it. The merry go round of voting yesterday pretty much accomplished nothing in the way of restoring the public's faith in government. We're looking at more taxes, and more excessive unnecessary spending. As expected, the Democratically controlled Senate voted overwhelmingly to continue appropriating mass amounts of funding for their pocket-lining buddies by a 71-29 vote. This last year as it turns out, was to a tune of over $18 billion in pork. Even Hillary and Obama voted to take a one year breather from earmarks, even though Obama already claimed a little over $100 million and Hillary about $385 million.Democrats aren't the only ones to blame here. Just mostly to blame, as a couple Republicans crossed over to vote down the bill. It seem...
