Life and Competition
2008-06-18 23:00:43
Perhaps, the most intriguing gift the 21st century has conferred upon humanity is the sheer competition in life, irrespective of the field one has been into, and unfortunately, this has been happening because of the ignorance about the truth. The impact is so huge that it is evident from the way we have been forced to lead lives. I will elaborate with an example: I and a colleague of mine are equally educated, equally talented (let’s assume for the time being. I feel otherwise.) We have been with the same company for the same amount of time. And lo! One fine morning, he receives a letter confirming the news of his promotion. Now see the tragedy! The day I heard the news of my colleague having been promoted, I couldn’t sleep through out the night...

Life and Happiness
2008-06-16 09:37:08
What is happiness? True, it’s simply a state of mind where your mind feels joy in whatever you do! But is that so simple? No. You might be having a huge Bank Balance still that is of no avail. It can not purchase happiness for you. You could possibly purchase whatever earthly matter is available in the market, but certainly this is not applicable to Happiness. Happiness is something you could create within, you need not look for it in the outside world. True, you could possibly look for the means which might provide you with the happiness temporarily! But mind! If at all you are looking for happiness permanently, there is no way, but you would have to look for it within yourself and thus create it there! Happiness has nothing to do with what your bank balance is or which brand you d...

Life and Peace of Mind!
2008-06-12 13:51:08
Peace of mind in life is not a commodity available to be purchased in the market! Let’s say you have headache! You go to a chemist; purchase a tablet (I don’t know about your country, as far as India is concerned Soridon would do); so you swallow the tablet and Lo! Within a short time, you start feeling better! That is not the case with peace of mind! You might have a huge bank balance, but to no avail. Giving away all the dollars in the world, you can’t possibly get it from outside! If at all you want to make it available to you, you and only you could do so making efforts from within! No outside endeavors will fetch peace of mind for you in your life! There are many techniques of meditation which teach you how to attain peace of mind. The technique I am recommending t...

Life and Kaizen!
2008-06-12 13:47:06
Probably most of you must be familiar with the word ‘kaizen’. This stands for a continuous improvement! True! You have had such a vast experience in life, even then you can’t claim that whatever you have had is enough for you and you need not undergo any further improvement .There is no full stop to improvement till one reaches his graveyard! Do you know, in Japan, they follow kaizen for further improvement in their products or the services they offer? If for any reason, one of their colleagues remained absent for three consecutive days and finally when he arrived to the office on the fourth day, all his colleagues would become inquisitive to know what he was up to during those three days he was away and what was the further improvement he had acquired during his absence in the offi...

Life and Destiny!
2008-05-29 04:42:22
Every one of us remains inquisitive about what his destiny would be! Many of us, don’t know what we want out of life! We simply get on with no choice but to receive what we don’t want. Because, that is what we are good at. And then, out of lack of confidence many people can’t help seeking the help of Astrologers, Palmists, and Pundits just to lull their curiosity into deep slumber! Out of these, many think they are simply puppets in the hands of the Almighty God! They would have to face their life as it is as there is absolutely nothing they could do! But Gentlemen, do you know the truth? The truth is miles apart from what these people hold the notions! In reality, you and only you and none else, is the creator of your destiny! You could design your...

Life is so beautiful!
2008-05-27 15:58:47
Life as a human being is the rarest gift to us. What is going to happen once we die, is highly debatable and pretty unpredictable. What I mean to say-one has no control over it. But certainly, we have control over the actions-- good or bad-- that we perform. If we keep on performing bad actions, in the end, who is going to save us from going down? On the contrary, if you have spent the entire life performing good actions ,who is going to pull you down ?You are bound to go up and liberate yourself. So you see , the actions you take in your day-to -day life has certainly control over your future and these actions are fully controlled by you .So,your own future is in your own hands! Yea,you are the master of your own destiny ,and none else. Be a master of your destiny!...

Life and its rewards!
2008-05-27 15:58:23
In the life of everyone of us ,there comes a phase when we find our future in blur!We strive to seek answers as to why this is happening to us only. Why God!You are so cruel to me only;while you are bestowing others with all the glorious rewards. And lo!Here I am !Your humble servant in such a wretched condition ?Why is this discrimination? Now this is what happens to everyone in life .In some cases, it happens at the early stage ,in some cases it happens quite late in life. Nonetheless, it happens with everyone in their life time .To know what happens at the deepest level, this has something to do with our spiritual life. If you have been performing good actions in this life right from the birth, but what about the bad actions committed by you in the past...

Life and Glory!
2008-05-27 15:57:54
They say we must have committed some good actions in our past life that we have been given a chance to seek the birth as a human being. Now some one has received this rarest gift of leading the life of a human being and simply keeps on fighting with the fellow members of the society over petty issues or simply keeps on indulging in the wrong affairs of life, one is obviously wasting his life as a human being. Having received the Opportunity of leading the life as a human being one should set the top priority to make only good actions : actions which are good for oneself and good for others around in the society. One should make it his topmost priority to lead the life in a harmonious way: fruitful to oneself and fruitful to others as well.Leading the life as a human being with sensibili...

Life and Change!
2008-05-27 15:57:31
Change in life is a natural phenomenon. Every moment some change or the other is taking place, irrespective of the fact, whether we are conscious of it or not. What to speak about other things, just have a close look at someone very close to you! Was he the same some ten years back?….some twenty years back? Did this change happen all of a sudden? In a single night? No it was a gradual process. Every one of us seeks birth as a baby, grows to agile youthfulness, and heads towards becoming a sickly old man and one fine day or night, surrenders to death. These four phases in life: birth, old age, sickness, and death are the result of an inevitable change in nature, which seems to be so non conspicuous. That’s how Buddha -the Enlightened One preached “Everything in the Universe is under c...

Life and the Art of Living!
2008-05-27 15:56:58
In today’s era of information super-highway, do you know what the most expensive commodity is? Well! Many of you guessed it correctlyl! Yea, Your own time! Whether a billionaire or a beggar in the street, both have the same amount of time at their disposal everyday: 24 hours a day or 60 minutes an hour. Not a single second less...not a single second more! Now, how have we been spending our time? In a quality way? No!we spend it yelling at the employees, raising arguments with the colleagues, fighting with the spouse over who will pay for the utility bills, worse still thrashing the children over something trivial. What are we doing in life? Have we gone crazy? Be aware! We have limited resources at our disposal and we have been engaged in doing what we shouldn’t in life! Our life is ...
