Fastest Tornado Recorded
2009-01-27 06:53:35
On May, 1999 a series of tornados hit the suburbs of Oklahoma City.
During the F5 tornado that moved into Oklahoma City on May 3, 1999, a mobile doppler radar situated near the tornado measured winds of 301 +/- 20 mph (484 +/- 32 km/h) momentarily in a small area inside the funnel approximately 100 m (330 ft) above ground level. The world's fastest tornado ever recorded.
The tornado ranked F-5 on the 0 to 6 Fujita scale, just just very close of being classified an F-6, a feat that has not been accomplished to this day.
Though these winds are possibly indicative of an F5 strength tornado, this particular tornado's path never encountered any significant structures and caused minimal damage. Thus it was rated an F4.

Fastest SMS Tapping
2009-01-27 06:41:55
After doing small research by reading articles from here, here, here and here I got conclusion that A 23-year-old Singaporean woman appears to have set a world record for tapping text messages over a cellphone and titled as fastest SMS (Short Message Service).
"Kimberly Yeo thumbed 26 words in 43.24 seconds into her phone, beating a world record of 67 seconds for the same words set by a Briton in September 2003”, said Singapore's dominant telephone carrier, Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel), on Monday.
To set a world record, Yeo type the official sentence the Guinness people use to judge these things ("The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.") on her cellphone keypad (with no predictive text or T9 typing method or QWERTY keyboards)
From here, not so far from Singapore, and Indian Pushp Deep Pandey of Jaipur, Rajasthan typed different record standard senten...

World's Fastest Swim
2009-01-27 06:30:11
Eamon Sullivan is the current world record holder for the 50 m Freestyle and the 100m Freestyle. On 27 March 2008 at Australian Olympic Trials, Australian Eamon Sullivan gained his shot as the 50 m freestyle world record holder with a time of 21.41 s, then broke his own record a day later with 21.28 s. On 100 m freestyle Sullivan timed 47.05 s in the second semi-final of Beijing 2008 Olympics. No doubt, as the world record he booked, Eamon Sullivan is the world’s fastest swimmer.
On second place, there is Brazillian, Cesar Cielo Filho. At the Beijing 2008 Olympics, Cielo won the bronze medal in the 100m freestyle, tied with American swimmer Jason Lezak, and set the Olympic record on the 50m freestyle during the semifinals (21.34). He lowered this further in the final, winning the gold medal with the time of 21.30, missing the world record by 0.02 seconds. Even so, Cielo is Olympic Record holder in 50 m freestyle.
We can calculate then, that Sullivan swimming speed reaches 2.34 m...

Fastest Passenger Plane
2009-01-27 06:24:02
The fastest passenger plane ever built was Tupolev Tu-144 aka Konkordski, a Russian aircraft very similar to the Concorde. The Tupolev Tu-144 (NATO name: Charger) was the world's first supersonic transport aircraft (SST). However, the Tu-144 was larger than Concorde and fitted with more powerful engines giving it a maximum speed of about Mach 2.35 (2,500 kph or 1,550 mph). Nevertheless, this fastest passenger plane suffered many technical and safety problems and was removed from passenger travel after only a few months.
The Tu-144S went into service on 26 December 1975, flying mail and freight between Moscow and Alma-Ata in preparation for passenger services, which commenced in November 1977 and ran a semi-scheduled service until the first Tu-144D experienced an in-flight failure during a pre-delivery test flight, and crash-landed with crew fatalities on 23 May 1978. The Aeroflot flight on 1 June 1978 was the Tu-144's 55th and last scheduled passenger service. It has since been use...
