Please forgive me for not posting for a while, but I have been in absolute agony for the last few days. In all honesty, I want to just rip my spine right out of my back.I could only imagine what I would feel like without the Lyrica medication. I have to admit the almost unbearable pain is somewhat of my own doing. I have been working a bit in the yard which involved a lot of bending and combine that with some lifting it's no wonder I've been in so much pain.Before I talk about Sunday's race, I want to vent about something. UPS signs multi-year deal to sponsor 6 car, Ragan

United Parcel Service has signed a three-year deal to sponsor David Ragan in the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford, starting in 2009, UPS director of sponsorship Ron Rogowski announced Friday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway."It's a bit more pressure, but I'm pretty sure we can handle it," Ragan, 22, said of the agreement, which will cover all 36 Sprint Cup points races. RICHMOND, Va. -- Fearing for the safety of more than 100,000 fans expected to attend Saturday's Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond International Raceway, NASCAR officials elected Friday evening to postpone the start of the race until 1 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPN after rain from Tropical Storm Hanna threatened to swamp the track.Spinoff rain from Hanna struck RIR Friday afternoon at about 4:15 p.m., wiping out all hope NASCAR officials had for the remainder of scheduled activities not only that evening, but all day Saturday as well.Qualifying for the Nationwide Series' Emerson Radio 250 was canceled at about 4:46, with the 43-car lineup set per the rulebook -- the top-30 starters line up in order of owner points. Stewart hires Grubb as crew chief of new team

RICHMOND, Va. -- Stewart-Haas Racing has signed Darian Grubb to a multi-year contract to serve as crew chief for driver/owner Tony Stewart and the No. 14 Chevrolet upon the conclusion of the 2008 Sprint Cup Series season, team officials announced Friday at Richmond International Raceway.A 32-year-old from Floyd, Va., Grubb comes to Stewart-Haas Racing from Hendrick Motorsports, where in six years since joining the multi-car organization, he rose from team engineer with the No. 48 Sprint Cup squad in 2003 to Hendrick Motorsports' engineering manager for the Nos. 5 and 88 Sprint Cup teams.
