Review: Gatorade Tiger
2008-05-08 15:01:28
Gatorade recently has introduced a new line of Tiger Woods endorsed sports drinks, Gatorade Tiger. The new formula is nearly identical to the original Gatorade, except for 25% bump in electrolytes. The new Gatorade Tiger is available in three flavors: Red Drive (Cherry/Citrus), Cool Fusion (Lemon/Lime) and my personal favorite: Quiet Storm (Grape). This 'Tiger Juice' is available in two sizes, 16oz (100 calories per bottle) or 32oz....

The people at Ashworth were nice enough to send along a sampling of the latest Ashworth Men’s shirts as well as some of items from the Callaway Women’s line. Today we will focus in on the Men’s line, and follow up with a look at the Women’s line later this week....

Nike Slingshot 4D Review
2008-04-23 10:52:17
Spring has finally arrived for me! After a long winter without any golf, I finally got in 27 holes this weekend. The motivation for this early and cold round was a set of beautiful new Nike irons that have been staring at me for about 3 weeks. These impressive new clubs arrived one day and I’ve been itching to play with them since I eyed their shiny new faces with fancy yellow coloring. I initially started swinging them in the house waiting for the day when I could finally try them out and ...

2008-04-16 19:07:53
You have probably seen the infomercials on The Golf Channel. Interviews with numerous Touring Professionals singing the praises of the Roll Groove technology. With a high tech look, and loads of technology, the Rife Two Bar Hybrid Putter is put to the test....

Mizuno MX-950 Review
2008-03-25 21:18:51
Not long ago we had a look at the Mizuno MP-57 irons, geared toward the mid to lower handicap player. Today we will be taking a close look at Mizuno’s offering for the higher handicap player, the MX-950. The MX-950 is a mixed hybrid/iron set with a ton of forgiveness and the quality you would expect from Mizuno. The question is, do they have that same Mizuno feel?...

Review: Miura Black Wedge
2008-03-19 20:18:37
Speak the name Miura, and many are struck by visions of artistically ground billets of mild steel and the buttery soft feeling of a well struck long iron. In addition to their hand finished irons, Miura Golf also crafts fine wedges and putters. Today we will be looking at one of the newest Miura offerings, the Black Wedge: a high spin wedge with a black finish and the touch of master craftsman Katsuhiro Miura's hands....

Review: Nike Sumo Squared 5900
2008-03-11 09:49:35
Square was all the rage in 2007, with the original Sumo Squared, Callaway FT-i and various other models reaching the market. The initial buzz factor was huge as everyone seemed to love to talk about super high MOI and the ultra-forgiving nature of the square driver head. Sure there were some complaints of a loss of distance and deafening sound, quieting the square head buzz a little…However, it has been over a year now, and as far as I can tell, club designers do not sleep these days. The Nike...

Review: TaylorMade Spider
2008-03-05 12:09:34
TaylorMade has never been one for offering up boring product designs. The Rossa Monza Spider’s radical new shape and eye catching paint job continue this tradition. Marry the stunning looks with extreme MOI and AGSI+ and TaylorMade has another winner on their hands. Today we’ll have a look at this technologically advanced putter which has been tearing up the PGA tour....

Power Plates at the Toshiba
2008-03-05 08:51:02
Colin Montgomery on the Power Plate I recently came across some interesting information about a new piece of training equipment that is apparently making some waves (no pun intended) on the PGA Tour. The Power Plate is a vibrating platform that is said to both improve your balance and relieve your pain. It looks…and [...]...

Review: Refine and Accelerate
2008-03-04 13:34:06
Not long ago I wrote about the GyroSwing which will soon be released by SLKZ golf. They also happen to offer a few other training aid products, a couple of which caught my eye: The Refiner and Swing Accelerator. The refiner is a hinged driver which works on getting your golf swing on plane. The Swing Accelerator, on the other hand, is a weighted club which targets the distance part of your game. We will have a look at both of these devices today and see if they can help your game....

Review: Caesar Golf Balls
2008-02-26 13:26:58
A golf ball without dimples? Crazy you say. Nope, The Caesar Golf Company has managed to remove said dimples and offer a completely smooth, billiard ball like apparatus for golfer to swing at. The premise is simple…makes sense…but how does it perform on the course?...

Review: Yes! Donna Putter
2008-02-23 14:24:38
Over the past few weeks I have been having a look at one of the latest putter designs from Yes! Golf, their Donna putter model. The Donna combines a high MOI design with the renowned Yes! C-Groove technology. This combination should provide one of the straightest hitting putters on the market today....

Making the Most of the Driving Range
2008-02-18 09:25:51
We have all been at the driving range and found ourselves in a mindless trance of pounding ball after ball after endless range ball. That groove does absolutely nothing to help your game. If anything it probably hurts it as you are probably further ingraining poor techniques into your swing. Today we will discuss some ways to avoid getting into that groove, while making your driving range sessions more productive....
