For anyone who’s ever had the dream of becoming a great musician, it’s something that requires a great deal of personal investment and a drive beyond that of the average Joe. For the rest of us lazy bums, now you have Guitar Hero. The concept is simple, but has exploded into one of the largest [...]

    Activision (ATVI)
    2008-02-20 19:36:24
22.2-2008 ATVI StockChartUpdate.27.11-2007. Update with 2 stockcharts. ATVI at wedge bottom, 38.2% fib retracement keeps support at so far. This pattern came true, but it did not launch itself out of the pattern, at least not yet. I think we could have shortterm upside movement ahead based pretty much for 38.2% line, but any movement even temporary below to the wedgeline and should considered bearish setup again.15.11-2007 Atvi StockChart Update. Possible elliott wave "a" label filled for fibonacci support lines (charts above).10.11-2007 Atvi StockChart Update. Indeed, stock started to plung together with market. Look at that macd how early it gave warning as bearish cross plus then coming down so sure way without zigzags.6.11-2007. Activision gave positive warning for next fiscal year and even beat EPS estimates after market close, my first thought was that stock could have a great leg ahead, but after I did some chartingwork using wave structure, I got quite reverse opinion. I don´t

    Activision Merging results
    2007-12-03 17:01:00
Activision's biggest pre-merger franchises are all (GASP!) getting sequel treatment. In a fact sheet concerning the Activision Blizzard deal (PDF file), the publisher lists Guitar Hero 4, Call of Duty 5, a new Tony Hawk title (which would be its 11th iteration), a James Bond game and a racing title with the recently-acquired Bizarre Creations, as well as licensed titles with Dreamworks and Marvel.None of these sequels come as a surprise, as they are all critical and commercial successes, but this is the first official confirmation of their existence. According to Activision Blizzard's earlier conference call, 50% of Activision's revenues are derived from franchises it owns outright, including Guitar Hero and Call of Duty. It should be noted that as well that all three franchises also have competition from rival Electronic Arts in the form of Rock Band, Medal of Honor and Skate. No word on project release dates for any of the sequels.[Via JS]

    PS3 Most Advanced by Activision
    2007-10-23 00:30:00
According to Activision's chairman and CEO Robert Kotick, the PlayStation 3 is the most advanced gaming platform out there. Kotick made the remarks at the recent Web 2.0 Summit, and while it seems like good news, Kotick wasn't entirely happy with what's going on with Sony's console, and addressed the lack of good games for the platform thusly:"Few game developers were building products that take full advantage of the console's powerful, multicore processor," but Kotick suggest that in "the next four or five years" this would change. So the console wars go on and on.[Via G4 TV.com]Something we all know... Well at least the non fanboys that admit we are the most advanced...
