Study: 82% of gamers love in-game advertisements
    2008-06-17 14:16:40
Contrary to what the media has reported thus far, a new survey found that 82% of gamers love in-game ads.  Don’t believe anything you’ve heard about in-game advertising from basically every video game news outlet to date, because a new study found that 82% of consumers love them unconditionally. Confused? So was Wired’s Earnest Cavalli, who had [...]

    Advertisements (to loot you???)
    2008-04-24 01:43:00
The very purpose of advertisements is to build a larger than life image of the products that is being advertised.Insurance advertisements are most funny in that sense...1) The daughter gets admission in a university abroad , father surprises her by showing her the education policy which has multiplied enough to finance her needs 2) Dreams like owning a book shop or a house in goa can be fulfilled by investing in insurance policies 3) Father planning his retirement and being independent by invest

why do I have to look at advertisements
    2008-04-17 05:12:45
I, like many others, have posted adverts on the doghouse blog. I, like many others, dont like advertisements, but here is the thing; they pay me to put those things on my site. All of a sudden, I think I like them now. Really I know they suck, but sometimes you see something you may like or never thought of. It dont cost any of us that they are there. I spend at least 5 hours a day reading and answering emails and promoting the blog and the talk show. That is not including doing the show and working 8-10 hours a day. I really do love doing all of this, so please give me a break letting these businesses show you what they got. I am always looking to improve, so if you have any ideas, I have an open mind. Its just my dream to reach the top of the internet ladder and that everyone in the world knows about the Doghouse with BadDog.It must be my nature, Im always wanting to be one step farther than anyone else. I guess that is why the doghouse is gaining in popularity. I have been surrounde

How to Stop Pop Up Advertisements in RealPlayer
    2008-03-13 07:08:00
RealPlayer or RealOne Player is quite a popular player that can support numerous RealMedia formats. It is quite common to use Real Player to watch video movie clips especially in *.rm and *.rmvb. The player is quite easy to use and features a handful of functions. Having said that, RealPlayer users always face a problem. When you use Real Player to watch movie clips (*.rm or *.rmvb format), advertisement pages will prompt out inadvertently.Sometimes your Firewall will notify you that the ad page may contain virus, spyware, adware, etc. It can be very frustrating and annoying when you see these ad pages. How to stop RealPlayer from prompting out these advertisements? To stop RealPlayer from continuing prompting out ad pages, you can go to Windows Explorer and look for Program Files>Real>Real One Player. Under Real One Player folder, look for “rpplugins” folder. Seek for “rpwe3260.dll” file and delete it from “rpplugins” folder. Once you have done it, go to Program Files -> Com

PPP’s 5 Second Audio Advertisements Works
    2008-01-15 14:32:33
I have read about a really rich guy & investment expert mentioning about the future of entertainment is on the internet & that cable television is going to be a thing of the past. Well, after reading the long sales letter from Pay-Per-Play (PPP), I am becoming more convinced that television audience will be more on the internet & watch less television. When less people watch television, it means that there are less people to watch the advertisements on television.Pay-Per-Play is ready for the change. Pay-Per-Play offers 5 second audio advertisements placed on selected publisher’s sites called Net Audio Ads. I just heard the taco bell 5 second sound ad & now I am feeling like eating some taco bell food. I reckon it works. No need to take my word for it because NetAudioAds™ has been running for two & a half years. The numbers: over 66,000 advertisers, over 550,000 websites, 43 million audio ads per month.PPP’s bid management system is similar to Google Adwords so many people will find it easy to use & start advertising sound ads. After February 1, 2008, the program only pays new sign ups on a “Host Only” basis where publishers make money from the ads place on their sites & no longer from the affiliate program. You should take advantage of signing up as an affiliate before February 1, 2008 because you would still be paid affiliate earnings after the date.

    Limiting Advertisements
    2007-11-27 18:21:07
If 50 advertisers emailed your blog and offered $10 dollars for 2 months of banner advertisements, would you take all of them, or just some of them. I'm seeing to many blogs now a days that have their entire sidebar COVERED with 125x125 affiliate programs, Paid to click ads, Adsense, and other money making schemes. All the flashy colours that the advertising companies use to draw attention

    These advertisements also sell
    2007-11-18 03:21:00
Currently running on all TV networks. Advertisements have changed over the years. They have become more meaningful and aim to connect to the consumer. I remember ads, that aired some years back. Most of them focused on features. Ads later started focusing on the benefits and the value associated with them. A new trend has started - Ads with a social messages. These ads are meant to appeal to consumers with what they feel  strongly about and . Its not really CSR (corporate social responsibility). They are essentially trying to sell, but in a very smart way. What we are seeing is, a strong trend where brands are utilizing issues that surround the consumers’ immediate environment and are addressing them through their mainstream advertising. Some such ads in recent times have been the 'Jaago Re' campaign by Tata Tea. They have tied up with the Jaago Re Foundation and have been airing different ads every fortnight. The TV commercial deals with political corruption, while t

Snap Shots to show advertisements and share revenues
    2007-11-16 00:25:04
Snap Shots has been hugely popular and can be seen on several websites now. Today I received an email from Snap mentioning that all popups would now have advertisements shown. Rather than coming up with their own ad serving technology, they have partnered with Google and will be showing AdSense advertisements. Just not that, the benefit for bloggers and website administrators is that they are going to share revenues as well. You need to “migrate” your Snap account and activate “Snap Shares”. You will need to provide your AdSense Publisher Id so that you get paid for advertisements shown. I am not sure what the revenue sharing model is going to be like, but this is yet another method now to make money online. Nice going Snap! Given below is an excerpt from their email: With Snap Shares, we share a portion of the advertising inventory within the Snap Shots with you so that you can: Have Google serve ads via your Adsense account Display your own ads Give your sha

    *BLOG* Advertisements
    2007-10-13 23:29:06
Aren't things like Payperpost, Sponsoredreviews, Smorty, Bloggerwave, and other "Paid to Blog" things terrific? Advertisers pay people to blog about their products and services. These advertisements are called, "opportunities" and are available to anyone that falls under the general category that they specify. Once they approve your post...they will pay you! This post is going to be about how to choose SELECTIVE advertising instead of choosing every opportunity they throw at you and blogging about it. Taking every opportunity and posting them, instead of your quality content posts decreases readership, makes it look terrible, and looses subscribers. This process is also known as "Blog Whoring" which probably gets its name from blogs accepting offers from EVERY advertiser. In my opinion, I think you should have 3:1 ratio for your posts and advertisements. Though the advertisements pay you, no one wants to read about how we can buy roses in Siberia, Find sex partners, or find books at discount prices.Try and integrate them through your posts, being selective about where you put them. If you talking in an advertisement about movie tickets, then try and put it after a post (that you wrote) that talks about movies. If you have a blog about books and novels, try to find advertisers that have a online book store or own a library.Stuff like that will just blend together better than random ads placed inside of your blog. Also, if you use blogger, you can change the date on which it was posted. So if you don't want it on your front page, you can change the date from 10/8/07 to 10/4/07 which will classify the advertisement under October 4th instead of October 8th. Thats probably the best ways to not show your ads. Keep your quality content on the first page and hide the ads on the next one.If you follow these steps, expect a better turn out of readers, more subscribers, and more traffic!!Brad
