    Superstar Service On THAI Airways
    2008-07-15 00:52:04
My flight from Delhi to Bangkok was my 11th in 7 months so it seems fitting that I received the best service to-date after paying my dues to the air gods. The plane was my biggest of the trip, a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. I always loved the second level afforded to passengers [...]

Tiger Airways Terminal - Melbourne Airport
    2008-04-10 23:11:00
Location: Melbourne - Australia Date: 28 Feb 2008Tiger Airways Australia has its home base at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. A budget airline like Tiger would seemingly be more suitable for Melbourne's other airport, Avalon, which is operating as a secondary low cost airport on the European model. Tiger have their own budget terminal at Tullamarine (terminal 4), separate from the main 3 terminals.Tiger Airways Arrivals - Melbourne AirportThe Tiger terminal is set up to save costs rather than to pamper flyers. An airport spokesperson described the terminal as more like a railway station. There are no aerobridges at this terminal so pasengers have to walk across the tarmac to and from the plane. When my flight landed the plane went to the end of the building then turned around so as the nose was pointing away from the terminal building. I presume they did this to save the cost of having the aircraft towed out from the terminal.Tiger Airways TullamarineThe arrivals hall is basically a shed

Naomi Campbell Might Get Banned From Flying British Airways!
    2008-04-07 07:28:42
Naomi Campbell risks a lifetime ban from flying with British Airways following her alleged fight with a police officer at an airport on Thursday. The supermodel was released on bail after she was arrested at London’s Heathrow airport following a dispute over her luggage, which was lost in the airport’s recent Terminal 5 luggage fiasco. Campbell allegedly spat at an officer and was handcuffed as she left the British Airways aircraft, which had yet to take off from the Heathrow’s new Terminal 5 building. According to airline bosses, the possibility of banning the 37-year-old from flying on British Airways planes is now under “active review”, with a final decision expected after the company completes an internal investigation and after police decide on whether to prosecute her. British Airways outsourcing leading to more delays
    2007-06-27 12:16:08
The Scotsman newspaper reports that in the one week since BA check-in and baggage handling has been outsourced that hardly any BA flights have departed from Edinburgh airport on time. It would appear that BA anticipated that many of their experienced staff would transfer to the new service provider Aviance. This doesn’t seem to have happened and the novice staff are being overwhelmed. Airport Madness by Toblig I assume BA have outsourced to save money but if it means that passengers get totally hacked off with the airline, it will be more detrimental than beneficial to the airline. BA seems to be becoming a world leader in shooting itself in the foot. These further problems can only exacerbate existing delays, detracting for the pleasure of flying away for your Summer holiday.
