| Amateur Radio,a great hobby | | 2007-03-26 15:25:00 | | I learned about amateur radio through the Internet , I was surfing the net finding some information for a research I was conducting on the subject of satellite communications ,and found the site of AMSAT it instantly catches my interest ,and then I visited the Syrian amateur radio site and through the information provided on the site I contacted the club and became involved ever since in an active manner , in Syria most hams (amateur radio operators) learn about the hobby through a close circle of friends who are interested in the hobby and carry a license who are not great in numbers, after that I made acquaintance with many hams some of whom are students at the communication engineering faculty in which I study,what really great is that you have first hand experience of the theoretical science you have studied in college, and you learn very valuable information through the courses and from your peers.Interest in the science of electronics maybe be the main motive for getting involved | | By: roneceve | | |
