    Non-Muslims: Worse than Animals
    2008-07-03 05:19:00
Allah sees unbelievers as worse than animals. Let us start with verse 8:55 of the Qur’an. In essence this verse says: the unbelievers are the worst beasts (or worst animals) in the eyes of Allah.According to ibn Abbas and Jalalyn, the most eminent exegetes of the Qur’an, Allah revealed this verse regarding the B. Qurayzah Jews. These Jews had unconditionally surrendered to Muhammad’s invading army. Earlier, Muhammad had asked these hapless Jews, comprising of women children and adult males, to convert to Islam if they wanted to be reprieved from the genocide that was pronounced on them by the judge appointed by Muhammad. But these Jews steadfastly refused to embrace Islam, preferring death instead. So, when they turned down Muhammad’s offer of ‘mercy’, around 700 to 900 of the adult males were beheaded right in front of Muhammad. Muhammad’s companions participated in this orgy of beheadings. This was similar to the scene of an abattoir where animals are driven to be slaug

    2008-06-20 08:11:00

The coroners service made the statement Thursday, only a day after a witness described seeing "a foot in a shoe" on a beach near the community on B.C.'s south coast. RCMP also said Wednesday that the find appeared to be a human

    The 10 smartest animals
    2008-05-16 20:56:00
We humans have the ability to learn, to reason and solve problems. We're self-aware, and we’re also conscious of the presence, thoughts and feelings of others. We make tools and practice the art of deception. We're creative. We think abstractly. We have language and use it to express complex ideas. All of these are arguably signs of intelligence. Scientists may not agree on the best and fullest definition of intelligence – but they generally agree that humans are highly intelligent. Other members of the animal kingdom exhibit signs of intelligence as well, and some scientists might say the definition of animal vs. human intelligence is merely a matter of degree – a point that was brought home in 2005 when the London Zoo put “Homo sapiens” on display in the exhibit pictured here. Click the "Next" arrow above to learn about nine other species that stand out for their smarts. Tetsuro Matsuzawa / AP Chimps are almost like us If we humans possess intelligence, ch

    Geopathic Stress and Animals
    2008-05-16 05:10:00
Here is an interesting article I came across that discussed the effects of Geopathic Stress on Animals. For those of you who have a sick pet or animal, you may find this especially interesting...."I first came across mention of it in an article in the Journal of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, in which the author suggested that, when there were many members of a family (animal and human) that had chronic or frequent health problems that did not respond very well to treatment, it would be worth while looking at geopathic stress as a cause. . We had major health problems with our hounds and our sheep, so called in a dowser to check out the farm and buildings. He found that our sheep house was built over three lines of geopathic stress, so that the whole building was affected. The area we kept the rams in had several lines running through it, and all but one of our fields was affected by several lines. We housed our sheep overwinter and had had major problems each ye

    Farm Animals' Sounds
    2008-04-28 03:36:09
A primary school teacher decided to see how many of the city kids knew what sounds farm animals made. She asked the kids to put their hands up if they knew the correct sound. "Who knows what sound a cow makes?" she asked. Cindy put her hand up and said "Moooo!" "Very good" replied the teacher,"what sound do sheep make?" "Baaaa" answered Jimmy. She continued this for a while. Then she asked, "What sound does a pig make?" All the hands in the class went up. She was surprised at the response. She chose Little Johnny at the back of the class. He stood up, took a deep breath, and screamed, "Up against the wall you son of a bitch!!"

Reiki For Animals: A Padma Menon Story
    2008-04-17 06:57:41
Reiki or energy healing is an alternative healing method of helping people heal by sending them universal energy. These methods are done by laying on our hands or by channeling the energy over any distance. These methods are based on principles that have been in use in the East and in other forms in the West, for thousands of years. Reiki is spiritually guided Universal Life Force Energy. The word Reiki is Japanese in origin and literally means: Rei = Universal (in the sense of spiritually guided or from the Divine); ki = Life force energy (the same as chi or prana). To "use" Reiki is to channel this energy through one's body to one's self or another for healing purposes. Seichim is "living light energy", also spiritually guided universal life force energy.Every single life form including animals and plants can benefit from Energy healing. Even animals suffer stress for a variety of reasons including living in unnatural environments, absorbing the emotions of the homes they live in, ta

The pH of an Animals Blood is Critical!
    2008-04-12 00:07:07
The pH of an animals (especially a race horse) blood is critical! If you are looking for the reason why there is a sudden, and apparently inexplicable, drop in a horse's racetrack performance ... then continue to read!!!The one single factor which causes a horse to "train off" faster than any other is a disturbance in its blood pH balance. Almost impossible to detect, especially in its early stages, this pH disturbance can be attributed to an excessive build-up of acids in the horse's system, a depletion of its natural alkaline reserves, injudicious training techniques; and other closely associated factors such as high grain diets, the prevailing climate and workload.A drop in the pH indicates an increase in the acidity of the blood. In lay terms, this is referred to as "acidosis", but more correctly it is the LOWERING OF THE ALKALINE RESERVES.The blood of the equine athlete has a very delicate acid/alkali balance. Optimum performance demands that this balance be maintained within very

Humans have more distinctive hearing than animals
    2008-04-01 09:33:04
Do humans hear better than animals? It is known that various species of land and water-based living creatures are capable of hearing some lower and higher frequencies than humans are capable of detecting. However, scientists from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and elsewhere have now for the first time demonstrated how the reactions of single neurons give humans the capability of detecting fine differences in frequencies better than animals. read more

I consume to nourish my sorrow!Scolded the wolf…I do not mean to offend your howling or persuade your hunger, sir.Prayed the sheep….See my opposing thumb and how it can bring me such pleasure?Inquired the wolf…See my shivering hooves and how they frustrate me significantly?Echoed the sheep…The wind now wails its bitter speech as the wolf skulks nearer.Come! Let us sit next to one another and we shall drink a toast.Said the wolf…I shouldn’t. It’s not right to do so while so many continue to perish.Replied the sheep…Thou art afraid of me, dam? Me? A creature with such manners?Crooned the wolf…No. I- I- I just don’t think it appropriate to toast on this- of all days.Answered the sheep…But this is a day of triumph! Today’s the best day

Leafy seadragon Named after the dragons of Chinese mythology, Leafy seadragons (Phycodurus eques) resemble a piece of drifting seaweed as they float in the seaweed-filled water. The Leafy seadragon, with green, orange and gold hues along its body, is covered with leaf-like appendages, making it remarkably camouflaged. Only the fluttering of tiny fins or the moving of an independently swiveling eye, reveals its presence. Like the seahorse, the male seadragon carries as many as 150-200 eggs. After being deposited by the female, the eggs are carried in the honeycomb-shaped area (known as the brood patch) under the male's tail for approximately eight weeks. Seadragons have no teeth or stomach and feed exclusively on mysidopsis shrimp. Known as "Australian seahorses" in Australia, they are found in calm, cold water that is approximately 50-54° F (10-12° C). Leafy seadragons have been protected by the South Australian government since 1982. Sun Bear The Sun Bear (Helarctos malayanus) i

Transgenic Animals A Necessity For Human Welfare
    2008-01-18 04:51:00
Nowadays, breakthroughs in molecular biology are happening at an unprecedented rate. One of them is the ability to create transgenic animals such as cows, mice, rats, rabbits, pigs and sheep.Since the discovery of the molecular structure of DNA by Watson and Crick in 1953, molecular biological research has gained momentum. Molecular biology technology combines techniques and expertise from biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, developmental biology and microbiology. The fundamental principle in the creation of transgenic animals is the introduction of a foreign gene or genes into the animal. There are three basic methods that are used in transgenic technology known as DNA microinjection, retrovirus-mediated gene transfer and embryonic stem cell-mediated gene transfer. The contribution of transgenic animals to human welfare is enormous. Transgenic cows produce more milk with lesser amount of lactose; transgenic sheep yield more quantity of wool. The National Institute of Science and Media publ

FDA Claims Cloned Animals Safe to Eat
    2008-01-17 21:35:00
Is it just me, or does the title to this article seem disturbing to you? A little bizarre? Unappetizing? The photo is of Dolly, a stuffed replica of the first cloned animal in the world. Yummy! (Ick.)As a self proclaimed "greenie", I have been delving into facts about the food we eat, and the more I learn, the more I become repulsed, especially by raw meat. Let alone cloned meat! Can you imagine going to Morton's of Chicago, the famous steak house, and they bring over the presentation cart, and they offer you the Clone Rib eye?On January 16Th, the papers reported that the FDA declared cloned animals and their progeny safe to eat, and now they can make their way to a supermarket near you. I don't have any scientific evidence to support that drinking milk from a cloned cow or eating it will harm us in any way. But it seems to me that whenever the human race tries to take short cuts from natural evolution, things go awry. Didn't Europe ban genetically engineered crops? OK so cloned veggies are bad but live animals? No problem! The question is now, will they even label it? How will we know what we are eating? It seems to me that corporate America is so incredibly greedy that they would feed us anything for a buck. If you go to the market and pick up one of the most highly recognized food brands, you can see that the ingredients in the products are totally artificial and very bad for you, but they are used simply because they are cheap and us fat Americans will eat anything that tastes good. What are the implications to our health and to our environment? The health piece is up for debate, and environmentally, doesn't cloning mean more cows and sheep and pigs, faster and faster? We know that cow poop produces enough methane to help climate change occur nicely, so why more? How many more do we need? Has demand increased dramatically or something? But is cloning immoral too? If God didn't create it, who cares! We can make it ourselves? How do we know this won't lead to so

    Cloned Animals Meat safe

Meat and milk from cloned animals is as safe as that from their counterparts bred the old-fashioned way, the Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday — but sales still won’t begin right away. The decision removes the last big U.S. regulatory hurdle to marketing products from cloned livestock, and puts the FDA in concert with recent safety assessments from European food regulators and several other nations.“Meat and milk from cattle, swine and goat clones are as safe as food we eat every day,” said Dr. Stephen Sundloff, FDA’s food safety chief.

Cloned animals! Safe to eat? Experts: mmm, not just yet
    2008-01-16 08:36:00
Just over a decade after scientists cloned the first animal, the last major barrier to selling meat and milk from clones in the United States has fallen: The government declared this food safe Tuesday. Now, will people buy it? Consumer anxiety about cloning is serious enough that several major food companies, including the big dairy producer Dean Foods Co. and Smithfield Foods Inc., say they

    Animals are Without Minds
    2007-12-28 13:13:23
Animals, on the other hand do not have minds, otherwise they wouldn’t be the way that they are now. They do not have minds or else they’d be able to think; they would be able to reason about the mental states of others and talk to humans.Besides that, an animal cannot infer the presence of minds in others because it doesn’t have one of its own for comparison. Or else we would see chimps writing blogs.*Lol* ;)However, animals do have considerable social intelligence, meaning they might have a little hint of consciousness within themselves, just like humans do, but not as thoroughly as humans.

I love animals and I work for PETA says John Abraham
    2007-12-17 01:57:00
John Abraham turned 35 on Monday.Everyone knows him as a first-rate model, an evolving actor and a youth icon. He is deeply involved in social work and wants more youngsters to join his Habitat for Humanity brigade."I keep a break between my films and during those breaks I work for social causes I address. I love animals and I work for PETA. I have my own brigade called John' brigade for Habitat For Humanity," John told IANS."This year, we have built 5,000 houses in impoverished villages all over India. Next year, we plan to build 8,000 houses. Habitat for Humanity is a Jimmy Carter foundation project.Although critics have panned his latest two releases "No Smoking" and "Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal", John is unperturbed and looking out for more substantial roles."You have to take criticism positively. Criticism is where someone will tell you both bad and good points. I object to cynicism where people just tell you the bad things. So criticism is always welcome," he said."I make sure that I

Imitation of Sounds a form of Social Communication for Animals
    2007-12-15 00:06:19
Communication in animals is reflexive, meaning it is limited to signals like warning of danger and defining territorial boundaries for instance. Most animals use body language as a means of communication, but sounds and imitations are often used in a subtle manner.Imitation of sounds is a form of social communication for animals. Animals use sounds to communicate through cries, gestures, and mating calls. They are usually understood by the same species. Now you know, so you can start trying to communicate with animals like in the Dr. Dolittle movies. Remember, try to communicate first, shoot later. Lol :)

    Playing with baby animals
    2007-10-23 18:00:00
One of our holiday high light is BABY ZOO.... we visited Baby Zoo at Safari Park and have opportunity to take some pictures with some of them! The bird park is at the entrance of the baby zoo, so we will have to pass this great bird park before we meet some baby animals. We also can see baby kangaroo, baby hippo, baby monkeys and orang utans, and many more baby animals! Our favorite experience is taking photographs with them! This baby orang utan's name is Dhika or Mahardhika. He is adorable but not so cheerful at that time. I don't know why... if I can speak his language I would have asked him! :-)So, what do you think? What a happy family with 3 kids! LOL.. but I use a wrong shampoo for the third son Dhika so he is so hairy! LOL... do you think Dhika looks like me or my hubby? hahaha...We also meet one month old baby lions... so such a sweetie! They just like puppies... so cute! This white tiger is 7 months old. He is as nice as a doll... I don't fear of him at all! Actually there is also a young leopard, but this white tiger is more tame and rare... if you were have this opportunity, what will you choose, leopard or white tiger?Adventure at Safari Park offers so many attractions that make us busy! We can feed the elephant with some carrots or even ride the elephant for only $1 !There my dream has come true... so excited to ride this huge animal named Titi! One more thing that really impressive is a Noah Ark! This is very beautifully made that I love it very much! I stared of it, noticing every animals that are on board... this is a great piece of art for me.Inside this ark we can see and feed a dolphin as well.. As a dolphin freak like me, I will not miss the opportunity to visit my favorite creature in the world!I also buy a dolphin mug to complete my dolphin collection... but I don't have the picture now. If you want to see the mug I will take a shot later, for request only... :-)PS. I feel better now... less coughing now, thanks God!

Crows – The dirty animals that depends on garbage
    2007-10-11 07:47:30
There is a bunch of people in Sri Lankan society which clearly resemble to crows which solely depend on garbage.Their business is so called human rights and they will be profited only when they can convince the international community that there are huge violations of human rights in this country.Whenever, there is UN general assembly or other important world summit, these crows pack up their junks and go there in advance. Then they start campaigning in those organizations to tarnish the image of our mother land. They are consistently providing exaggerated statistics and reports on human right violations to UN organizations requesting for sanctions against Sri Lanka. The darker the devil they can formulate on the image of our country, the larger the bag of money they get in turn. The current leaders of this dirty gang are Sunila Abesekara, Nimalka Fernando and Rukshan Fernando. There is large number of our mothers and sisters shed their sweat in Middle East countries and there are equally large number of youth laboring in garment industry and other industries in Sri Lanka. However, hard their livelihood, they are having dignity and have never been a burden for their mother land.Life is easy for someoneshameless, cunning as a crow, backbiting and forward, arrogant and corrupt, but for someone who's constantlyscrupulous, cautious, observant, sincere, pure in his livelihood, clean in his pursuits,it's hard.- Dhammapada (Malavagga)Regardless of these NGO crows live in luxury and having political power, the history will record all of them as mere traitors. In fact, it will be interesting to check the ancestral roots of these dirty crows and see if these shameless creatures are really the current joints of the same ancestry that has betrayed our mother land during the colonial period.Crows always look for garbage and waste as their food and even if given an opportunity, those will never learn to depend on fruits or vegetation. We all know that there are some other NGOs which are genuinely serving the country on moral basis and without any hidden agendas. However rather than being a dirty NGO activist of this nature, one would be better of finding a job in garbage collecting or being a cemetery keeper! It is worth than being a traitor of one’s own country.

Drugged Animals? - How About Drugged Athletes like Marion Jones?
    2007-10-05 22:13:00
Oh Marion, oh Marion, girl I’m mad at you. Taking them drugs, huh? The temptation was too strong, huh? Do anything to win, huh? Not you...Marion, you took steriods? Shame on you. I’ll tell you, this drug taking mess is about to kill me. Mark Mcguire, Barry Bonds and now, my darling Marion Jones. She took steriods, she has admitted it. This revelation is so sad. Marion Jones succumbed to that - how does it go? That “win at all cost” mentality, a mindset that assures that a good and honest athlete will go bad and do something demeaning and cheat to win. Marion is the latest top ranked athlete to admit using drugs to enhance her performance. This revelation is another blown to the image of our beloved sports world. We fans have become accustom to hearing that our sports heroes are drug users. Marion Jones is, indeed, a special and very talented athlete, but how much of her talent came from her use of steriods? This is the question we will always want to know and unfortunately, sha

    Acupressure for animals
    2007-09-27 17:54:00
Acupressure, a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine, may be thought of as "Acupuncture without needles". The body is viewed as an interconnected energy system, in which the body energy, known as "Chi" flows along pathways called meridians. Stimulation or sedation of points lying along these meridians moves the energy, balancing the Chi and relieving or preventing blockages and excesses that can cause discomfort, pain, and disease. The Five-Element theory describes the relationship between points on various meridians in terms of their position in the cycles of creation and control/destruction. Meridian charts are used to identify points that show an excess or deficiency; the five- element chart helps to determine which points require sedation or stimulation to correct these imbalances. How-to manuals take you step-by-step through the process of using acupressure with animals. Animals are keenly aware of themselves and their bodies; the recognize imbalances and often lick, scratch, or che

    Three books about animals
    2007-08-14 02:09:00
"Kangaroos are, in my opinion, the most interesting animals that ever lived," writes Australian scientist Tim Flannery, who then goes on to attempt to prove that statement in Chasing Kangaroos, his comprehensive love-letter of a book to the animal that fascinates him. Flannery (author of "The Weather Makers") casts his net so wide in his research and travel across five continents that at times this book can be exhausting, although at the same time it remains engaging.Anyone who ever loved a dog will find something to enjoy in Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog by Ted Kerasote. Kerasote found Merle, a lab mix and apparently a stray, while on a camping trip. He took the dog home and life was never again the same. Kerasote writes well about their rich 13-year relationship.

    Animals Bodies
    2007-07-05 03:13:51
The body of an animal reflects the animal’s way of life and the habitat in which it lives. Some marine creatures, such as squid and mackerel, have smooth, streamlined bodies to enable them to move rapidly through water, whereas the slower-moving starfish creeps over the seabed using its many tube feet. Most land animals have limbs for support and movement, although snakes move their long, scale-covered bodies without the need for legs. Frogs have powerful hind limbs for jumping; their webbed feet and thin, moist skin are adaptations to living in wet places. The beetle’s six jointed legs support a heavy body covered by a hard, protective exoskeleton(external skeleton). The tiger’s strong legs, sharp teeth, and forward-facing eyes mark it out as a hunter, as do the kestrel’s powerful wings, sharp talons, and hooked beak.

    When animals sleep around
    2007-06-27 06:43:00
Humans and animals fuck. Gosh, too direct. Okay, human and animals do mate. I've been thinking about this for a while now. But it strikes me again today. As my friend told me that he saw a dog fucking a cat near his house. What would the cat give birth to if its pregnant? Would it turn out to be a dog+cat=dogcat?(male to be name first) To be honest, I don't know. Is it possible? Don't know either. Not long ago, we had these news of a Sudan man marrying a goat after they caught him fucking a goat. And he was forced to marry the goat. Very well, we thought it was hilarious and the end of the news. Months later we are hit by the another news that his goat partner matied/dieded after choking on a plastic bag. Hilarious again, but the thing that caught my attention that they actually have a kid(baby goat). Not human kid. So man+goat=goat kid. Most of us would thought that it would be some human goat. Or talking goat of some sort. So does hybrid exists? Between animals of different species

    Don't Feed the Animals!
    2007-05-11 19:12:00
Today a big meeting was taking place at my company. As I entered the building this morning I saw an above normal amount of suit wearing fat guys (board members) entering the building. My boss and the other executives were also decked out in their suits. However the tell tale sign of a big meeting is the catered lunch. My company is cheap in every way, except when it comes to our executives and the board members. The spread of food is fit for kings with various dishes, salads, and desserts. The executives and board members number around 20 people, but the spread looks like it could feed three times as many. After all the executives and board members have gorged themselves, the department assistants of the executives converge like vultures, feasting on the luncheon leftovers. After they are finished stuffing their guts, the President’s secretary walks through the departments announcing that there is food available in the executive lunch room. By the time all the executives, board member

    Vegetarian? Trying to 'SAVE' animals?
    2007-04-30 01:41:09
I got this from http://maddox.xmission.com/hatemail.cgi - It's quite funny, BUT TOTALLY TRUE,Those vegetarians out there should ready read this and FUCKING WAKE UP!!!PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Let's ignore for a moment that their name implies there exists a universal set of ethics, and instead let's focus on the meat of this email: PETA is "primarily concerned with preventing the suffering of living animals." Oh really? As opposed to preventing the suffering of dead animals? Good thing they clarified because I was confused and couldn't infer that when they said "animals" they didn't mean dead animals. Glad we have that cleared up, let's move on.So what exactly constitutes as "prevention" of animal suffering? The moral vegetarians (not the ones who do it for religious or health reasons) love to chant "we're trying to limit the suffering." What the hell does that mean? If you eat wheat or soy, you're not limiting anything. Unless you plant, grow
