| | Funny Animated (gif) Avatars | | 2007-09-26 22:14:00 | | I've had enough of boring avatars, everyone. There is no reason not to have an awesome avatar on your profile to reflect your own personal awesomeness (yes, it's a word.) It's always a little scary browsing the internet for animated avatars because a bunch of them are pretty crass, but I did a little legwork for you and found a few cute/funny avatars you can use for your profile. Don't all thank me at once.To use an avatar, right click on it (for P.C. users) and select "Copy Image Location." Then just paste this copied text into your profile where it asks for the URL of a photo for your profile. Why be plain when you can be crunchy?Make sure to get your Halloween Avatars set for October!... | | By: Hollywood Flakes: Get 'em While They're Hot | | |

I’ve been interested in the concept of the avatar and in virtual worlds since as long as I’ve been using computers. Unfortunately I’ve just reached 25years of consistent computer use. Since that time I’ve had many avatars, ranging from text based MUD presences through halfings and high elves in Everquest.
This book is an interesting survey of avatars and their creators, placing them side by side for our viewing pleasure. When I first cracked the cover I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect and I was gratified to see it wasn’t si... | | By: ArsGeek | | |

| MyBlogLog Avatars in blog comments | | 2007-05-15 19:57:31 | | I have finally given the comments in this blog a spruce up. I’ve integrated MyBlogLog Avatars into the comments.
It definitely looks much better now with images showing up next to the comments! Have a look at a image snippet below for an example.
The inspiration on how to get this done came from a post on FuzzyFuture. Infact, I tried out the MyAvatars Wordpress plugin but couldn’t get that to work properly for some reason. I might give it another try later on again. But for now, I’m quite happy with the results that I am getting.
Does anyone know if BlogCatalog and BUMPzee! provide similar mechanisms for retrieving Avatars?
