    Born with feet facing backwards?
    2008-06-18 23:16:34
Yanni's blog kinda popup while I was searching with the keyword - "88DB". And well... After visiting one link after another, I chanced upon a blog with an entry - "Born with feet facing backwards", which kinda caught my attention! (Okay... It's the photos that really caught my attention.) Let me summarize this... According to the entry - a waitress, Wang Fang, 27, of Chongqing city in China, refused to be classified as "disable" dispite the fact that she was born with her feet facing the wrong way. She said: Continue reading...

    LIVE spelled backwards
    2008-06-08 17:37:31
Staying with what I was trying to assert in CAN U DIG IT via my subtle reference to David Hume (how many yawl picked that up – slappz , BuelahMan's, Jackie, love babz , Curious, Badtux and Kelso not included, LOL), I have come to the conclusion that some folk just cant deal with kindness and even hate those that are kind? Albeit I have yet to thoroughly ponder this, I have made some cursory judgments regarding the aforementioned thesis. So I will attempt to give my take on such as a function of life and as well as living. Hume’s (1711-1776) major philosophical works to me was Enquiries concerning Human Understanding although I know some would suggest A Treatise of Human Nature or Dialogues concerning Natural Religion. In summary he wrote about cognitive attributes of human behavior in terms of philosophical naturalism (my purview and I may be wrong). I think he may have been responsible for the dramatic change in Kant’s view of the world which suggested in essence that our ow

Don't hate me because my clock is backwards.
    2008-06-06 09:34:00
Everyone hates my favorite wall clock. Everyone. Just because it's backwards. Literally so, in this case; it's one of those clocks that works backwards, to that the numbers go from 12 at the top to 1 just to it's left, then 2, working their way around the opposite direction. It's a backwards clock; it's a counterclock. And I love it, but everyone hates it because they say they can't tell time on it and it confuses them and they get used to it and then can't use regular clocks.Who knew that wall clocks could inspire that kind of passion? Still, now that I'm getting a little older and more mature, maybe it's time to update my home decorations with some new wall clocks. This is the perefect time to do this, because with the clocks I can get from 1-800-4Clocks, and the advice I can get on clocks from their blog -- advice like how to use a clock to brighten up a room and change the style of that room -- I can save some money and get a great new addition to our decorating scheme. Before seei

thank you for telling me i had my pants on backwards the whole day - my dad
    2008-05-25 20:17:00
ShoppingshoppingshoppingshoppingfweeeSo I did manage to take pictures! I spent a great deal of time dancing around to youtube videos today and eating corn on the cob. What'd you do?You might recognize two of these pieces, the knitted swimsuit bottom and the shorts. They've been getting a lot of use lately and I can see them being paired with any of the new-old pieces, which is why I added them. The striped shirt is from my mum's closet and the other silk shirts are random buys from estate sales, etc I got recently.1: Handsewn linen tunic shirt. It's absolutely beautiful. Goodwill, $5 2: Sailor cool shorts that instantlyreminded me of lou doillon, with gorgeous buttons to match. Hello Again Vintage, $10 Thinking back on it now I wish I'd have gotten the flutter sleeved dress or the yellow dress, and I doubt they'll be there next time I go (next weekend, natch)! But oh well, I'm sure next time I go there'll be stuff just as nice.

Where can I find a list of any backwards breaking changes between the .NET Framework 2.0 and the .NET Framework 3.5?
    2008-05-15 23:14:21
From .NET 2.0 to .NET 3.0 we have 100% binary compatibility. This is because none of the .NET 2.0 binaries were changed for that update. From .NET 3.0 to .NET 3.5 we an extremely high level of compatibility with existing applications. This is an estimated 95% binary compatibility without a recompile being required. The last estimated 5% is recommended to be found by testing and the incompatibilities are a result of bug fixes, performance improvements, geo political fixes and security fixes introduced in services packs .NET 2.0 SP1 and .NET 3.0 SP1 as part of the .NET 3.5 upgrade.

    Life cycle backwards
    2008-04-18 12:24:00
I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, start out dead and get it out of the way. Then you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally promiscuous and you get ready for High School. You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby, then, you spend your last 9 months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, larger quarters everyday, and finally you finish off as an orgasm.

Sony No Longer Selling Backwards Compatible PS3
    2008-02-27 02:53:59
Well, really, the title says it all. Sony is no longer offering any version of the PlayStation3 console that can actually play games that were released for the previous two Playstation consoles. At this time, the only PlayStation3 model available in stores is the 40GB model, which is not backwards compatible with anything. However, the [...]

Enter your ATM Pin Number Backwards to Summon Police-Fiction!
    2007-11-13 01:46:00
Summary of the eRumor: An alert that if you ever find yourself in a scary situation at a banking ATM machine, such as a thief forcing you to withdraw cash, just enter your personal identification number (PIN) backwards. That will automatically send a message to the police that you are in trouble and they will respond to the machine. The eRumor says that most people don't know about this. The Truth: The eRumor is false because there isn't anywhere that we could find where this emergency procedure at ATM machines is actually being used. There is a seed of truth to it, however, in that the idea has been floating around for a while. One of the biggest proponents has been in Illinois attorney named Joseph Zingher. He says the notion came to him when he was a law student at the University of Illinois and one evening was withdrawing money from an ATM in a scary part of town. He patented his concept in 1998 and has been trying to talk banks into using it ever since. Under Zingher's system, every ATM account would have two PIN numbers---the normal PIN used to withdraw money and what he calls the "ATM SafetyPIN" to alert police that something bad was happening at the ATM. It has also come to be popularly called the "Panic PIN." The SafetyPIN would typically be the reverse of the normal PIN number or some other variation that would be easy to remember. Legislation was passed in Illinois that would allow banks to adopt the system, but did not mandate it. So far, no banks or financial institutions have done so. Zingher has offered to let Illinois-based banks to use it for free but some of them have said they think it would be too expensive and that ATM crime is not frequent enough. Zingher says that ATM

    Backwards Tilt Toward Autumn
    2007-08-29 22:15:00
I just realized that September 1st is Saturday. While Autumn is my favorite season, it seems to creep up on me. I forget that the summer heat will end and that soon I'll be able to wear my most comfortable outfit: jeans and a t-shirt under a hoodie. Then, as the sun casts a warm glow on everything, I'll welcome the season with music I was listening to exactly 14 years ago as I moved from one part of my life into another.Cranes - JewelPet Shop Boys - Can You Forgive Her?Kate Bush - Eat The MusicMighty Mighty Bosstones - Someday I SupposeSaint Etienne - Who Do You Think You Are?Liz Phair - Never Said

It’s not illegal if you walk backwards when you step across the border
    2007-08-22 17:32:28
An appeals court in Kansas has recently concluded that just being in the country illegally doesn’t necessarily violate the law, so “…a judge cannot deny probation and require a jail sentence for a convicted drug dealer who is an illegal alien.” Hmmm. So you can be doing something that is illegal, but that doesn’t necessarily [...]

Censoring the internet in Morocco - a step backwards.
    2007-05-27 10:47:00
In a blow to free speech, the Maroc Telecom has blocked yet another internet service. The news flashed around the blogoma and was soon picked up by the giant site Global Voices, where Sami ben Gharbia had this to say.May 25, 2007, it has been reported by numerous Moroccan blogger that Morocco has blocked access to YouTube video sharing website. There have been many ongoing speculations that the ban followed the broadcasting of material critical of the country’s king and pro-Western Sahara. This is the third major sites blocked by the Moroccan filtering regime after Google Earth and Livejournal. While we fully understand the sensitive security and political issues, we do not believe that this is the way for a country to move forward. Morocco has made some very positive steps towards a more open society in recent times and it is not the time to turn the clock back. Also, given the nature of the internet, each and every ban can be circumvented by any reasonably clever teenager.Another

Who knew that running backwards could be so much fun?
    2006-08-16 13:40:25
Read This FirstVargoyle’s Comments:Yes the fun new sport of running backwards. Great for your leg muscles and a sure challenge for your neck strain. I have no idea why anyone would want to do this. It seems like it would be fun for the first kilometer and then it would wear itself out very quick. They call this “retro running”. Almost like it had been in style 20 years ago. Inaebnit thinks that running backwards up a mountain is great. I say it just might help you out as you won’t be able to see how far you got to go. It takes the runners almost twice as long to run the same distance backwards but I bet they’ll be able to cut that once they get more trained in this new sport.Technorati Tags:sport, running, sports, running backward, mountain, swiss alps, race, backward, backwards, retro, retro running
