| Senate Approves Smoking Ban for Bars, Taverns, Bingo Halls in Oregon | | 2007-05-23 02:22:00 | | While I realize how dangerous and unhealthy smoking is, I ALSO feel that as long as a person living in a free society chooses to embrace this habit, they should be allowed their freedom to smoke like a chimney, as long as certain conditions are met:
1) They cannot smoke ANYPLACE at all while in the presence of a child and by ANYPLACE I am including their own homes as well as their own vehicles.
2) They cannot smoke in any public places, either indoors or out unless first entering a specifically created "Smoking Allowed Here Only" room.
