| More on T. Boone | | 2008-07-14 14:42:48 | | The Chicago Tribune has more on T. Boone's plan. It's one of the better article's I've read. Find it here:
In a visit to the Tribune editorial board last week, Pickens used an easel and a green marker to draw a picture of a country in crisis—and in denial. Net oil imports needed to meet daily demand have nearly doubled in the past 35 years, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration... | | By: Poli-Think
| | T. Boone Pickens goes Green? | | 2008-07-08 17:23:12 | | I never liked T. Boone Pickens. Let's make that clear. Why?
Because I grew up in Oklahoma and I knew him as a a friend of President Bush, as an oil man through and through, as a major backer of the "Swift Boats Veterans for Truth" 527. Maybe worst of all he was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and not only their biggest donor (OSU's football stadium is named for him), but his donations... | | By: Poli-Think
| | Health Matter: Boone Suffers Setback, Cabs Ready to Go | | 2007-07-13 16:45:30 | |
Aaron Boone had been making progress rehabbing his sore knee until he suffered a setback yesterday taking batting practice. Boone slipped between second and third and could barely walk off the field. Scott Olsen, who left Sunday’s start after one inning due to upper back stiffness, completed a bullpen session Thursday and remains on track to start Sunday’s series finale against the Nationals.
Miguel Cabrera took batting practice Thursday during a mandatory team workout at Dolphin Stadium and said he likely would be ready to go tonight. He said he still was feeling discomfort in the shoulder but thought it likely he would be able to play tonight against the Nationals.

| Aaron Bleepin Boone Wants to Fight You Mr. Stern | | 2007-05-17 16:13:27 | |
In the wake of the suspensions handed down by David Stern to Robert Horry, Boris Diaw and Amare Stoudemire, some guys around the Marlins clubhouse aren’t too happy with the decision made by the commissioner. Aaron Boone is a longtime Arizona native and huge Phoenix Suns fan and is a little bit more then upset with David Stern’s decision. Taken from the Herald’s Marlins Notebook…
“I’m livid. I went to bed in a bad mood and I woke up in a bad mood. I’d like to challenge either [NBA commissioner David Stern or league vice president Stu Jackson] to a fight for a blatant lack of human judgment.”
These comments were most likely made in jest but I would venture to say this is probably the way most members of Red Sox Nation felt about Aaron Boone in 2003.
