| | Brighton businesses | | 2008-06-27 23:55:27 | | If you want to know anything about a place then you should ask locals of that place. Since, locals are the ones who know the place better. Based on this philosophy, welovelocal.com has been made. | | Brighton, United Kingdom | | 2008-06-27 22:19:00 | | I have been to the United Kingdom several times, and each time I step my foot there, there's even more to see and discover. UK is a beautiful country, and what I love most about this magical kingdom is their countrysides. They are just breath taking. My last trip to UK was about a year back, and that time round, I visited cities and counties I haven't visited before. One of them is Brighton.Recorded as the tiny fishing village of Brithelmeston in the Domesday Book, BRIGHTON seems to have slipped unnoticed through history until the mid-eighteenth-century sea-bathing trend established a resort that has never looked back. The fad received royal approval in the 1770s when the decadent Prince Regent, later George IV, began patronizing the town in the company of his mistress, thus setting a precedent for the "dirty weekend", Brighton's major contribution to the English collective consciousness. Trying to shake off this blowsy reputation, Brighton now highlights its Georgian charm, its upmark | | By: Vision, Adventures, Dreams and Life | | |

| Brighton Attractions | | 2008-06-27 21:42:00 | | I only went once to Brighton and although I had a short stay there (only one weekend on bodybuilding supply businesses) I did have a great time and I was quite impressed with the sightseeing attractions that Brighton had to offer. The one place I liked the most was Brighton Pier, a place where I got to relax, feel good and, I don't know, it did feel welcoming. It was right next to the Royal Pavilion, the Old Police Cells Museum and the Brighton Fishing Museum, every single place being special. Brighton did have a lot for everyone from tourist attractions and sightseeing spots to clubs and a more than average active night life. I particularly recommend (out of the places I visit) you going to The Temple Bar, the Casablanca Jazz Club and The Sidewinder. I personally stayed at Drakes Hotel, quite a charming place, great conditions, but I am sure other hotels are available for every single budget. | Uncle Sam saw you drive from Bognor to Brighton! | | 2008-04-23 08:00:29 | | For those who keep bleating about the anti-terror laws and how effective they are should think again. Saying, "well, if you haven't done anything you shouldn't be worried", and sounding all prim and proper about it is no good. Jacqui Smith is living up to her status as a typical prying New Labour Home Secretary. All apparatchik and no common sense. She has discreetly (or by stealth!) introduced new measures which will allow images of cars captured on road-side cameras, and "personal data" derived from them, including number plates, to be sent overseas to such august organisations as the CIA. The Daily Telegraph has uncovered her weasley ways. When she announced last year that British anti-terrorism police could access "real time" images from cameras used in the running of London's congestion charge, she did not imply that it could be used by "others". | | Brighton Bay and St Andrews on Monkey Island Grand Lake | | 2008-04-09 10:09:36 | | Two Gated Communities Developed by Mike Long/Bob CorlettMonkey Island on Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma is the setting for many different gated home communities. Two of the new developments on Monkey Island are Brighton Bay and St. Andrews, both developed by Mike Long and Bob Corlett. Both communities feature homes from about 1400 sq ft to 2400 sq ft. They have lake views from the master bedroom, living, dining, and kitchen from most. Both developments feature swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball, swings, basketball, and picnic areas in scenic settings. Community boat slips are owned by most of the home owners. From time to time a resale home will come available and most will be priced from $300,000-400,000 according to size, location, view, and extras in home. Brighton Bay was built first starting in the late ninties. St. Andrews was the Long/Corlett teams next project starting in about 2003. Both developments offer great full time or second home living. | | Brighton Bay on Grand Lake Waterfront Home | | 2007-04-28 16:35:32 | | Great Views from Deck and Family Room in this Monkey Island of Grand Lake HomeGrand Lake of the Cherokees is one of very few lakes were you can maintain your shore line if it currently is maintained. This adds beauty, view, less critters, and more enjoyment to a lake home. Oklahoma enjoys four season climate that is moderate most times and the summer boating season is just wonderful.Monkey Island is the spot to be for weekend, seasonal, or full time living. Brighton Bay is a gated community on Monkey Island that was developed in the late 90's. It winds along the shore line with about 60 homes in the development. Just enough for a stable homeowner association and small enough for quiet times at the lake. You see, seldom, do over 30% of people show up on any one given weekend except Fourth of July and Memorial Weekend. If you are a lucky one such as I and reside at the lake year round, you just get a bonus. Most of your neighbors pay for the upkeep to the grounds, pool, tennis court, ba | | By: Grand Lake OK Real Estate and News | | |
