| Radical New Callaway Driver Pictures | | 2008-07-08 01:43:12 | | Earlier this week I posted about a Taylor Made patent application disclosing a pretty radical driver with fins. Well, Callaway has stepped up to the plate this week with a patent application disclosing a driver that is even more radical! Check out this Callaway driver design!
The published patent application that may be giving us a [...] | | By: The Golf Drill Guru
| | 2008 Callaway Women’s Shirts | | 2008-05-27 07:36:46 | | Callaway recently sent me two ladies' golf shirts to review and I’m now a convert to this brand of clothing that I had previously shied away from. I was immediately impressed by the style and feel of both shirts and after wearing them once on the golf course, I actually put one on knowing that I wouldn’t be hitting the links that day. These shirts are not only comfortable, but incredibly fashionable as well. | | By: The Deep Rough | | |
| | Callaway FT Fairway Wood Review | | 2008-05-22 18:39:58 | | The Callaway FT Fairway wood is one of the most recent additions to the Callaway line. The company introduced us to their Fusion technology a few years ago and they have carried it forward into 2008. Callaway’s new FT-i Squareway woods have stolen the fairway wood spotlight but the more traditional FT Fairway shouldn’t be [...] | | By: The Golf Drill Guru | | |

| Callaway Viognier and Dutton Ranch Chardonnay | | 2007-12-03 21:25:00 | | 2000Callaway Coastal ReserveViognierWon't buy again, will drink what I have and try to pair with other food.Today was my birthday and I wanted to review my birthday wines even though I know I still have much Thanksgiving coverage and followup to do. In addition, my mom had dinner for me last night and I have two reds to review at a later date.Today was depressing (my birthday always seems to get me down - another year older and not any farther ahead) and it was just a regular day filled with too much to do. But, I knew tonight after I put the kids to bed, I was going to have a late dinner of Butternut Squash Soup and Baked Brie En Croute with cranberries and almonds. I knew I was going to splurge on a white wine as a birthday gift to myself to accompany my little menu. I just couldn't decide what variety. So I bought two, splurging on one more than the other, and conducted a little taste test with "The Guy". I am reviewing both here beginning with the Viognier:Disappointing. Very light scent of mustard and lighter color than I expected. It was a pale yellow rather than a nice golden. It was reminiscent of a generic Sauvignon Blanc. Not a lot of flavor. Not much of a finish. I tasted no apricot or peach like the label boasts. It was slightly citrusy with a slight mustard finish. End of story. Any flavor was completely lost with the brie. It retained it's flavor with the soup. I'm afraid it may be headache material. The Guy liked it better than the Chardonnay.7.0 out of 1014.5% alc. by vol.$16.99 per 750 ml. bottlehttp://www.callawaycoastal.com/1999Dutton Ranch, Russian River ValleyFritz WineryChardonnayHAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Will happily drink again. This was also a pale yellow, and it's scent was similar to the Viognier - light and mustardy with a little overcooked broccoli thrown in (I don't know what it is with me always finding broccoli in the wine), and slight stone. But the taste, oh the taste, taste, taste. It was divine. It's what I love in a Chardonnay. | | By: What To Drink Tonight | | |

| | Callaway's Romance with Big Bertha | | 2007-03-14 08:00:00 | | Excerpted & paraphrased from 100 Great Businesses
I will venture to say that if youve ever played a single game of golf in your life, you know exactly what I mean when I say I picked up a new Bertha. Anyone whos been on the course has seen the oversized heads and has heard the crisp sound of a ball sailing three hundred yards from the tee box. But have you ever wondered how this unusual club with its bizarre name found its way onto your local golf course?
It all started back in 1982, when sixty-two year old Ely Callaway bought a struggling business called Hickory Stick. Callaway, a wealthy tycoon who couldnt stand the idea of retirement, was intrigued by these throwback clubs which sported a wooden shaft just like the clubs Callaway remembered from his childhood.
One year earlier, Ely had sold his winery for $14 million dollars. Investing in something that he was passionate about, golf, seemed like a great way to invest his money. Taking charge, he relocated the | | By: Small Business Tycoon
