| More Evidence Against the Carpetbagger | | 2008-07-16 10:46:00 | | The New York Daily News revealed today that Kirk Radomski, the drug supplier who was a large part of the Mitchell Report and cooperated with federal investigators in their investigations, has turned over evidence to the feds that he supplied Roger Clemens with HGH in either late 2002 or 2003.You can read the story here. (BTW, I love the fact the News put this story in their "Yankees" section.)Clemens' clueless lawyer and mouthpiece Rusty Hardin said this:"I can't imagine that there's any truth to that at all," said Hardin. "We'll find out one day Roger never received or took the stuff."Like any lawyer, it's deny, deny, deny. But with all the mounting evidence, it looks like The Texas Con Man will be entering a room with striped sunlight sometime down the road. | | By: The Mighty Quinn Media Machine | | |
| | From The Carpetbagger's Lawyer | | 2008-01-06 22:00:00 | | This hilarious statement comes from Rusty Hardin, Roger Clemens' screwball attorney, who has not exactly distinguished himself the last month, after the "60 Minutes" interview tonight:"Anyone not persuaded by that interview is not a well person."I guess about 99% of America is need of help right now. | | By: The Mighty Quinn Media Machine | | |
| | The Carpetbagger Just Doesn't Get It | | 2007-05-29 18:40:00 | | I heard that Roger Clemens was miffed at a reporter from Scranton who dared to ask him a question about a lot of the negativity that's been directed his way as a result of the sweetheart deal the Yankees gave him earlier this month. After the game he pitched for the Yankees' AAA team in Scranton last night, he took reporters' questions. He said this after that question was posed to him:“If you want to be negative, be negative. I’m not a negative person… you be negative as much as you want. If I stink and I don’t pitch well out there, I know I stink—I don’t need you tell me that. I have pride in what I do. I’ll pull my heart out and set it right there for you to see it. When I perform, I’ve done it. I got that from my mother… so if you want to write, and these other people want to write, negative… everything has to be negative these days. There always had to be a negative. I’ve always been positive in my life. It won’t end. I don’t want to be around negative | | By: The Mighty Quinn Media Machine | | |

| Why The Nation Despises The Carpetbagger | | 2007-05-08 18:34:00 | | My friend Adam yesterday sent me along one of the best columns by Bill Simmons, the noted writer, Red Sox fan and author of "The Sports Guy" column at ESPN.com. Back in 2001, Simmons was asked by his bosses to write a column about why Red Sox fans hate Roger Clemens so much. With all the palaver about The Carpetbagger's return, I thought I would share the column with all of you. (I think that old Thomas Nast cartoon from the 19th Century seen here really applies, especially with the updated bag he's carrying. He looks a little like Clemens too, don't you think?)Even though column was written nearly six years ago, it really does ring true today. This column was also included in the wonderful "Now I Can Die In Peace" book that Bill Simmons put together after the Red Sox championship in 2004.And the column also has the perfect name too: "Is Clemens The Antichrist?"I'll leave it for all of you to decide that. It's great reading, as well as funny and rather infuriating at the same tim | | By: The Mighty Quinn Media Machine | | |
