| | Is Chambers another McCardell? | | 2007-10-17 11:37:00 | | This appears to be a repeat of the 2004 NFL trading deadline.Back then, the Chargers acquired wide receiver Keenan McCardell from Tampa Bay when they were 3-3.They would win nine of their next 10 games to finish 12-4 and reach the playoffs for the first time since 1995.This time, the last-minute trade acquisition is wide receiver Chris Chambers from Miami at a time when the Chargers are 3-3.Will they win nine of their next 10 again to finish 12-4?Probably not, but it won’t take nearly that good of a record to win the weak AFC West.Chambers brings the Chargers two sides. He’s known for making brilliant, game-winning type catches; but he’s also known for dropping more than a few passes. He is kind of a more experienced version of Vincent Jackson, the Chargers’ current go-to wide receiver (if they have such a thing.)Chambers, acquired from Miami for a second-round draft choice, earned a trip to the Pro Bowl following a 2005 season in which he hauled in 82 passes for 1,118 yards and | | By: San Diego Sporting | | |
| | Chambers Passed Breathalyzer Following Arrest | | 2007-07-16 16:37:32 | |
Sources are reporting that Dolphins wide out Chris Chambers passed a breathalyzer test after being arrested early Saturday morning in Charlotte for driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding. The receiver was taken in at about 2:30am and later released on $1,750 bond. He will be in court today. As stated in a previous article, the arrest is the first time in Chambers’ tenure he has come under any legal trouble in his time in the league.
If it is true that Chambers passed the breathalyzer test, then it is unlikley that the league would hand down any sort of punishment against Chambers. If anything, the Dolphins may fine him for the arrest, but even that is uncertain at this point. The team has already had to deal with the arrest of new LB Joey Porter this offseason, as well as the two arrests and then release of defensive tackle Fred Evans.
On the surface it appears that Chambers simply made a bad judgement call on driving Saturday night, and that if he can | | By: NFL GridIron Gab

| Chambers Arrested in Charlotte for Driving While Impared | | 2007-07-15 03:30:31 | | The Dolphins tough offseason of arrests continued early on Saturday morning, as top wide receiver Chris Chambers was arrested in Charlotte on charges of driving while impaired and speeding. Chambers was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police around 2:30 a.m. He faces charges of driving while impaired, speeding, and reckless driving. He made bond and was released after posting $1,750. “We recently learned about this and are in the process of gathering more information,” Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said.
Chambers is the top wide out for the Dolphins, and according to reports in six seasons has never had any legal trouble. Dolphins players are not required to report to camp until July 27th, and are currently off from any team functions. It is the second time in three weeks a Dolphins player has been in trouble and the third player this offseason to be arrested. | | Trent Green to Chris Chambers, TouchDOH!! | | 2007-05-13 20:53:23
If you already thought Carl Peterson was crazy like I have here and here then this will just make you shoot milk out of your nose. Carl Peterson thinks so highly of his veteran QB Trent Green that he actually asked the Dolphins to beef up there offer to complete a trade. Barry Jackson revealed in his Sunday Florida Sports Buzz column that Carl had asked for a certain receiver to be thrown into the mix…
The Kansas City Chiefs have such an inflated opinion of Trent Green’s value that they even raised Chris Chambers’ name in trade talks. The Dolphins, obviously, wouldn’t do that.
Carl you dumb ass the whole point of this deal is to have a viable Trent Green to Chris Chambers connection this season. Don’t you know who has been throwing him the ball the last couple of years? Chris Chambers is an elite wide receiver and it’s all his QB’s fault he has dropped and obscene amount of passes the past couple of years. /sarcasm
