So strictly that someone even begun to doubt that the game was to be released in the west. Well, reast easily my friends, because it will be. SEGA finally released the first US trailer for Valkyria, and it looks pretty great. The only problem is that the trailer itself shows nothing new, and there're no voices (they probably haven't been dubbed yet).In the end, though, the trailer acts as a confirmation for the fall 2008 release (as shown in the last few seconds), so we can just sit tight and wait until we get more news. While my Japanese friends are making me cringe in pain and envy by telling me how good the game looks and how fun it is (all the ones that gave me a first-hand report seem to love it, not surprisingly), Sega delivered some new movies as well, this way even us westerners will have to drool over them until the international release date this fall.The new movies include three character profiles for Zaka, Alicia (the main character) and the beautiful villainess Selvaria Bles, which is indeed one of the most interesting characters in the game (just click on the names to be linked to the respective video on gametrailers). Anyway Sega released three new videos for the new probable masterpiece by Toshihiro Nagoshi. The first one is a really interesting promo that shows quite a lot about the gameplay, letting us see that the game will have what seems to be quite a lot of depth even between missions. You see it below.In addition to this they pleased us with two new character-specific videos, the first on the big oaf of the platoon: Largo Potter, the second on the tank commander and lead male character, Welkin Gunther. Gamespot provides us with streaming goodness for both Largo and Welkin.The more I look at them, the more the game seems great. It wasn’t hard to figure out why. I have two daughters, ages 10 and almost-9. The Fairy Chronicles had them at hello. It’s a good thing they sent two books, or otherwise, we’d have a war going on! A couple of days later, I was “allowed” to read the first book myself, after Princess was finished. Gothgrrl is finished with the second book and impatient to read the first one. They assured me I would enjoy them. When I asked what the first book was about, Princess launched into an excruciatingly detailed synopsis that was still going when school started. Yeah, they liked what they read. They were disappointed to learn they’d have to wait til July to get the third and fourth books.
