| Cindy Sheehan is in Egypt Protesting on Behalf of Terrorists | | 2008-02-14 20:11:42 | | Just when you thought you heard it all when it came to Cindy Sheehan comes this story. Cindy Sheehan is in Egypt protesting in favor of suspected terrorists.
Members of the Muslim Brotherhood will be going on trial in Eqypt for terrorism and Sheehan doesn’t think it is fair.
Here is the Brotherhood’s motto, according to Wikipedia:

| | Dennis Kucinich and Cindy Sheehan: Republicans’ New Hope for Winning the 2008 Presidential Election | | 2007-07-15 22:26:00 | | The Democrats may have unleashed a hornet’s nest of harsh criticism that may be impossible to impede. This time the condemnation is not coming from Conservatives, but from the liberal lunatic base. Recently, after realizing that the Democrats only care about power, Cindy Sheehan announced the possibility of running against Nancy Pelosi for the House of Representatives in the next election. Sheehan conditioned her running on whether or not Nancy Pelosi impeaches George Bush and brings the soldiers home from Iraq. While this threat will never cause Nancy Pelosi to bend, it does have very important implications for the 2008 Presidential Election. Like Ralph Nader’s impact in the 2000 election, Sheehan and her supporters may stay home in 2008 or vote for an unelectable third candidate. Consequently, the Democrats will be forced to seek independent voters to come to their side, which often leads to disappointment. Moreover, this recent phenomenon with Sheehan and Pelosi is ve... | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |
| | Cindy Sheehan at CommonDreams | | 2007-06-03 15:53:52 | | Ah, yes. We are all so clique-ish aren’t we.
However, when I started to hold the Democratic Party to the same standards that I held the Republican Party, support for my cause started to erode and the “left” started labeling me with the same slurs that the right used. I guess no one paid attention to me when I said that the issue of peace and people dying for no reason is not a matter of “right or left”, but “right and wrong.”
I am deemed a radical because I believe that partisan politics should be left to the wayside when hundreds of thousands of people are dying for a war based on lies that is supported by Democrats and Republican alike. It amazes me that people who are sharp on the issues and can zero in like a laser beam on lies, misrepresentations, and political expediency when it comes to one party refuse to recognize it in their own party. Blind party loyalty is dangerous whatever side it occurs on. People of the world look on us Americans as jokes because we a... | | By: Hell's Handmaiden | | |

| Cindy Sheehan And A Tendency Toward Hope | | 2007-05-30 16:56:00 | | I haven't posted here before, and have been mostly getting to know some of you. I'm not sure of the etiquette or the protocols involved- of what to post and when. I am posting because I think that perhaps many of you share the sense of loss about Cindy Sheehan's decision to "go back to normalcy". Truth is, I dont want her in "normalcy". I want her to stay where she was, where she is needed, to be the person that so many of us can't be for a variety of reasons- a real activist. And one who articulates what we are feeling on our behalf. Some of us at The Peace Train decided to take some time this week to post a "tribute" of sorts, to reflect on Cindy Sheehan's role in the anti-war movement and the importance of her simple question. I hope you don't mind my choice to do this here. Her question haunts us, because it really sets the stage for the bigger question which is essentially: When is war justified? What CONSTITUTES a 'noble cause'?And how do our feelings about the standards we... | | By: The Peace Tree | | |
