| | Clayton: Jets Could Surprise In 2008 | | 2008-05-12 14:51:34 | | In an article for ESPN.com, John Clayton pegs the Jets as one of five potential teams who can surprise this upcoming season.
The Jets really don’t know what they have with Kellen Clemens at quarterback, but they are operating like a team trying to make a big move. Management put out $142.5 million in contracts for [...]... | | By: JetsCentral.com | | |

| There Will Be No Atonement for Michael "Juno" Clayton | | 2008-02-21 09:08:00 | | Much to my own chagrin (if that's possible), but to the for-sure delight of my family, who is out to get me in our annual Oscar pool, I present to you my picks (Wills and Want tos) for this year's Academy Awards. I reserve the right to change my mind on some of these prior to Oscar night. Then again, maybe I'm just posting this to throw them off (and it's not like I'll be able to remember my picks for the short subjects, anyway...)?CategoryWill winWant to WinBest PictureNo Country for Old MenThere Will Be BloodBest DirectorJoel and Ethan CoenPaul Thomas AndersonBest ActorDaniel Day-LewisDaniel Day-LewisBest ActressJulie ChristieLaura LinneyBest Supporting ActorJavier BardemJavier BardemBest Supporting ActressCate BlanchettCate BlanchettBest Original ScreenplayJunoJunoBest Adapted ScreenplayNo Country for Old MenThere Will Be BloodBest Foreign FilmKatyn??? | | Fletch's Film Review: Michael Clayton | | 2007-10-24 22:46:00 | | Spending the weekend out of town and coming back to the grind with a 3 day backup of work can really wreak havoc on the whole blogging schedule. (For the record, I went to Puerto Penasco aka Rocky Point to hang out, drink beer, drink tequila, watch the Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers concert, enjoy yet another sandstorm and sit at the border for close to four and a half hours. At least the sandstorm didn't hit until the day we left.)Anyway, I'm back and am two reviews behind schedule, the first of which, as you can tell from the title of this post, is Michael Clayton. Due to the whole "lots of work, not a lot of time" scenario, I'll attempt to keep them short and sweet, but somehow I know they'll end up being the same length as any other review I've done, thanks in no small part to rambling, incoherent prefaces such as this. On to the review...I read this line in another review of Michael Clayton, but it's good enough that it warrants my blatant stealing and reprinting here (I be... | | By: Blog Cabins | | |
| | Clayton Lists His "Big Questions" For AFC Teams | | 2007-05-07 20:35:07 | | We are officially in the doldrums of the NFL off-season. At least for a couple more weeks before I head out to Denver for the Fan Fair. Finding news to discuss is slim at best, and to be honest, since most news coming out this time of year is probably bad, it is a GOODthing when all is quiet on the Broncos front. One interesting tid-bit today was a column by John Clayton with his big questions for each of the AFC's teams. Never one to miss an opportunity to see what the "experts" think of our Broncos I decided to take a look. Here is what Clayton said was a big question facing teh Broncos -- So how much different will this Broncos defense be? Mike Shanahan surprised everyone by firing defensive coordinator Larry Coyer and replacing him with the talented Jim Bates. Equally surprising has been the overhaul in personnel. Middle linebacker Al Wilson was released. The Broncos also changed the focus of the defensive line, which had been filled with former Cleveland... | | By: Mile High Report | | |
