| From Dyson Vacuum Cleaners to Solar Panels Powered Cars | | 2008-07-02 10:39:23 | | I filled up my car with gas this morning and had one of those déjà vu moments. Waiting my turn in a line of ten cars, I was transported back thirty years to the gas lines of the last energy crisis. This morning I saw the same grim desperation in the faces of motorists jockeying for position at the pump. I felt a little desperate myself as I shelled out a king’s ransom for half a tank of gas. Here we go again, I thought. The squeeze is on. At least one man I have faith in is working on the problem. Britain’s most famous inventor, Sir James Dyson, of Dyson vacuum cleaner fame, is now turning his considerable talents to the development of a solar powered electric car by using solar panels. Traditionally, electric cars, although quiet and pollution-free have been slow—around 30mph—due to the fact that batteries powerful enough to produce speed, and compact enough to not take up all the space in the car, could not be developed. Automakers from Detroit to Tokyo are working on th... | | By: Solar Shingles | | |
| | | Automatic Swimming Pool Cleaners | | 2008-02-28 20:13:00 | | There a lot of things about caring for swimming pools that the old saying "there's more than one way to skin a cat" applies.Automatic Swimming pool Cleaners fit that to a tee, I know another saying...Generally speaking I have learned that like there are two basic types of pool cleaners, pressure side and suction side. There are two types of pool owners when it comes to some automatic cleaners. Those with greater scientific and mechanical aptitude and the time to take care of their pool. Then there are others who because of time or not being scientific or mechanical don't do as well or need more help.I clean pools each week. I have for years and years.I have learned some pool owners, those with the time and aptitude to adjust and monitor, love suction side cleaners like the Kreepy Krauly. I don't see this unit often because my customers don't have the time to work with a suction side cleaner. They don't want to deal with chemicals, cleaners or anything they don't have to. I have seen th... | | By: Tales of Swimming Pool Man | | |

| | Dyson Root 6 DC16 Handheld Vacuum Cleaners | | 2007-11-30 05:35:12 | | Excellent machine that fits the billPrior to buying this machine I researched it on the net which include visiting the Dyson webpage where it very, clearly and without hesitation or prevarication states that the battery lasts for six (6) minutes. I thought about how big a mess would you have to have that would take more than six minutes and concluded that such a mess would require a full size vacuum. So I bought this machine.I have never owned a battery powered hand held vacuum before. However, I do own two wired hand held machines that are essentially toys. They have poor vacuum and even poorer attachments. The Dyson does not have these problems. The amount of suction is excellent and the attachments nicely designed and easy to attach and detach from the machine. As to the overall design I find it very ergonomic. The grip is such that it is easy to hold the switch in the on position when using and it actually lends itself to pulse mode (quick bursts to suck up a solitary item).Five stars without a doubt! Dyson Vacuum Cleaners-Rechargeable handheld vacuum for carpet, smooth surfaces, keyboards-Constant, relentless suction with twice the power of other handhelds-Cost-free maintenance; no bags or filters to replace-Exhausts only fresh, clean air; one-touch-cup-emptying system-Recharges 3 times faster than other handheld vacuums; includes crevice tool and integrated brush Dyson Root 6 DC16 Technorati tags: Vacuum, Vacuum Cleaner.... | | By: Vacuum Cleaner Review | | |
