Who's gonna be our closer? Hell if I know, I'm down in Florida drinking mojitos.
Although I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Ryan Dempster will be in the starting rotation next season (and continue to pray this is all some grand scheme to up his trade value), it looks like the Cubs will have a new closer for the first time in three years.
So, let's take a look at the candidates. Now granted, some sort of move could be made during the Winter Meetings next week, but right now, it looks like it's between Kerry Wood, Carlos Marmol and Bob Howry.

Kid K, showing a bit of loyalty, spurned other multi-year offers from playoff contenders and re-signed with the Cubs this week, with full intentions to become a dominant closer, which he would then parlay into some big bucks with an extension.
