Only takes 10 minutes! They are many hawkers around Johor Bahru are illegally put up their stalls for business. Jack Sparrow Can Sail A Ship But Can’t Break Into A Coffee Shop
    2008-01-10 12:28:29
Another local story from the great state of Washington. Check out this genius dressed as a pirate trying to break into a coffee shop. The owner of the coffee shop posted the surveillance video on YouTube with his own Jack Sparrow narration of the attempted break-in. Apparently this chucklehead of a Jack Sparrow doesn’t have [...]

    2008-01-07 02:51:00
NB3 Food House (N1°32.763 E103°45.754)(Located at Jalan Sagu 10, Tmn Daya, Johor Bahru)I took my breakfast at this new coffee shop this morning. This kopitiam is huge with variety of foods, operate 23 hours per day. (special business hour & the first 'kopitiam' at JB call 'Food House' too!!)Food stalls : Penang Char Kuey Tiaw, Penang Prawn noodle, Chi-Cheong-Fun, famous Beef noodle, Jawa noodle, Wan-tan noodle......etc.Beside local and Penang foods stalls, you can find one of the famous Dim Sum stall in JB there too.I tasted the Jawa noodle, the quality not as good as original Penang Jawa mee......it's only 50% of the comparison. I will taste the rest in the future.

    Back at the Coffee Shop
    2007-11-30 08:10:44
Because Bart loves to be alone in the house and because I get so much more done here, I am at the coffee shop this morning. I have a meeting here at 9:30 but decided to spend my morning here and hopefully get more done.I'll have lunch with Bart and then we'll have just a couple hours left until the weekend. If the weather does not prevent it, Salinda will be coming home for the weekend. Our morning went well and I don't have a lot to report. And that, as always, is good news.

    2007-11-21 14:43:31
You may have noticed the The Sun-Times report that Jim Hendry was in Los Angeles and had dinner with free agent Kaz Matsui and his people last night. L.A. happens to be my neck of the woods and in one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments, I happened to run into Hendry while getting my morning coffee [...]

    The Coffee Shop, pt. 1
    2007-07-08 06:44:05
I found myself sitting in a small coffee shop, the few books I carry and my notebook across the scarred wood top of the old table. For some time, the table had interested me more than what I was reading. Like me, I suspect it had seen better days, was once new, and now had [...]

    The Coffee Shop, pt 2.
    2007-07-08 06:23:38
Please read The Coffee Shop, pt. 1 After the waitress arrived with the coffee, my new-found friend and continued talking. “Are you in the University?” I asked. “Yes,” he said. “And a big test tomorrow.” “What are you majoring in?” “Chemistry,” he replied. “Ah,” I said. “So, you probably have learned that the only way to really know something [...]

    2007-07-04 11:57:59
Even before this latest addition to Davao’s coffee culture opened, I’d already heard about Spro Coffee Shop via its very own blog. The owners had been blogging about this café from the time they started conceptualizing it, and the blog was featured for a time at the Davao Blogspace. (more…)

    My dream coffee shop
    2007-06-26 15:11:59
Aside from having excellent (and affordable) Jamaican Blue Mountain or Kona coffee, a dream coffee shop for me would be what the Japanese call manga kissa — basically, a café with lots and lots of magazines. Such a place would have an atmosphere that, to me, would be conducive to the consumption of huge amounts of that liquid they call black gold. And it would be a comfy hangout, too. (more…)
