| work hard and don’t complain | | 2008-07-23 13:49:30 | | Growing up in Memphis, there were 3 general things I was inculcated with from either my Grand folk, Mom or Uncles:1] If you gone be a ditch digger be the best ditch digger and they will always call Torrance to dig that ditch 2] Somebody gotta be number one, may as well be you. 3] Competition is for folk who have to prove something to themselves; you don’t need to compete boy if you already know yourself. Over the years, I have had a lot of things said about me, but never have I been called lazy nor have I ever had my work ethic questioned. The little I know about my mothers father and my granny’s brother, I do recant both of them giving me advice as a child under the age of 4. My Great Uncle, while drinking Scotch and chain smoking Pall Mall Red would say “what makes a man is how hard he works, not for himself but his family and neighborhood – men take care of others.” These were straight old school cats, with my great uncle, like my granny, being straight up on | | By: Raw Dawg Buffalo | | |

| Carlos Zambrano is awesome and yet I complain | | 2008-07-10 08:08:00 | | Last night I missed most of the game due to my satellite going out. It’s frustrating because in the four years I’ve had Dish or DirecTV, it’s never gone out and over the past two nights it’s gone out twice due to rain. That being said, I feel guilty writing about a game I really [...] | | By: The Cub Reporter | | |

| | Porsche U.S. Complain as Not Meet Fuel-Economy Rules | | 2008-05-29 12:26:00 | | Porsche SE may not be able to meet new U.S. fuel-economy rules, which are ``not fair'' to makers of performance-oriented autos, the company's U.S. chief said. The German automaker's cars would have to average 41.3 miles per gallon by 2015 models, under preliminary regulations released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Porsche's average was 26 mpg last year, and it paid $4.6 million in fines for falling short of current federal standards.``The year 2015 in the car market is like tomorrow morning,'' Detlev von Platen, chief executive officer of Atlanta- based Porsche Cars North America, told reporters today in New York. ``We have to find a compromise, these rules are not fair.''Porsche is working to improve its average fuel economy as regulators push for higher mileage and lower emissions of pollutants, and as U.S. average gasoline prices rise to record highs of almost $4 a gallon. The new U.S. standards may almost double fines for not complying.By the end of 2010, th | | By: Autos Space | | |

| | O How We Complain About Victory | | 2008-04-23 23:06:00 | | With the Pennsylvania primary over with the results are in, and all the damage is Hillary Clinton’s fault. The New York Times wrote a scathing editorial about the Pennsylvania primary mostly directed at Clinton. It is amazing the comparisons one can make about The New York Times, and Hillary Clinton. Majority of America despises them, and their tactics are at times questionable, so I find it funny that the times would try to fault Clinton for the campaign she ran in Pennsylvania when the Ti | | By: The Political Point | | |

| | | | | I Guess They Just Like to Complain | | 2007-12-10 11:22:00 | | You may remember that the Giants beat the Bears in Chicago last week, 21-16. They won it when the Giants scored a TD with just under two minutes left. Since that game was finished, I have heard tons of complaints from Giants fans, in both the papers and on radio, about how Tom Coughlin nearly blew it by scoring the touchdown.Yesterday I saw a letter in the sports section of the New York Post about the game, a week after it was played:"Can someone tell me why the Giants, with the ball on the 2-yard line, did not run out most of the 1;47 left on the clock last Sunday and then kick the field goal? They would have avoided the Bears' comeback drive that almost resulted in a touchdown. Imagine if the Bears had scored and won the game. I would not have bet much on the career prospects of Tom Coughlin after that." Mark Cohen, Paris, FranceI can tell you very easily, Mr. Cohen. You see points, you get them! Especially touchdowns. | | Home Based Business - When Customers Complain | | 2007-10-13 04:12:49 | | When something goes wrong for one of your customers, how do they get treated? Can we talk about that for a moment?I put it to you that your customers want their concerns taken seriously. How do I know that? Because people want to be taken seriously.Customers want to be taken seriously. They want their concerns acknowledged and responded to.So let’s ask the difficult question:How does your business respond when you get customer complaints?Do you treat those who complain with respect and concern? Do you genuinely try to help them? – if you do, they will sense it.Over the years, I’ve had my share of customer complaints about all sorts of things and I’ve learned that if I respond with courtesy and give them a little of my time (for example, in composing an email response) then many times they will turn right around and express their appreciation.Try to answer a rude email with politeness, not arguing back or finger pointing. Yes, I agree. With some people in particular, that is mighty hard but often I get a pleasant response back from them. And it’s not unusual to get an apology from them. Something like this, for example: ‘I was having a lousy day then your system messed me around and I exploded. Sorry.’ Or words to that effect.Let me tell you, it’s rewarding to get that kind of response back from a customer you’ve helped. It’s nice to finish up as friends again. That gives me personal pleasure and a sense of achievement. And customer service like that can't hurt the bottom line, either.Because people want to be taken seriously.Gary Harvey is an Internet Marketing enthusiast who has been earning a full time online income since 2003. | | | Nothing To Complain About | | 2007-05-15 03:02:00 | | כ"ז באייר תשס"זEither I am ill or the world is about to end (just kidding). I have nothing to complain about. Wow.Things are going so smoothly. It's weird, but very nice indeed, when everything works out without a major problem. This is a new experience for me. One-two-three, everything is just falling simply into place.First, last week I was offered and accepted a good job in a nearby state. The salary is good for this area. I've had higher paying managerial jobs, but this one compensates for the lower salary in that I'll be primarily dealing with data. I'm a data person. Also, the job is relatively low stress - again, because I'll mostly be dealing with data and working in a rather quiet environment. This fits my personality and won't go against it's austic tendencies. Deadlines are not really stressful for me. Noise and constant-people interactions are my difficult stressors. I'm not really a people person, although I think I'm personable in my own odd way. My ne | | By: Walking On Fire | | |
