    2008-07-15 01:26:36

Similar to a stock broker, these agents can also provide advice on forex trading strategies. This advice to clients often extends to technical analysis and research approaches designed to improve client forex trading performance.Financial institutions are generally the most influential in the forex market throughhigh-volume, large-value forex currency transactions. Historically, banks enjoyed monopolistic access to the forex markets, but through the Internet, any forex speculator can also enjoy 24 hour access to the market via a forex broker.Secure web connections today allow many forex traders to work from home, where ready access to news and other technical advice informs decisions on what forex positions to take. 5 Reasons for Entering the Exciting World of Currency Trading
    2008-07-02 13:37:36
Currency trading offers a host of benefits for the small investor today and here we look at just five reasons for taking advantage of the lucrative world of Forex trading.1. The 24 Hour Nature Of Trading. The majority of the world’s trading markets operate out of fixed trading centers and to strictly limited hours, normally between Monday and Friday. However, because currency trading takes place around the world you have the ability to trade 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This means that, since most private traders operate from their own homes, you can decide just when you want to trade, whether it is in the morning, afternoon, evening or even in the middle of the night. It also means that, whatever happens in the world, you have the ability to take advantage of events and their effect of particular currencies instantly and are not frustrated by having to wait for the market to open.2. Very Low Trading Costs. With many traditional markets, including the equity markets, trading costs can

It's an intriguing story and one you should make part of your currency trading education.Trading forex looks easy but 95% lose and 5% win and this story will give you a bit of an insight into how to enter the elite minority. One day trading legend Richard Dennis was having a friendly debate with his business partner who said traders were born not made - Dennis disagreed. He therefore set out to prove the point that with the right attitude and education anyone could win.He gathered a group of people who only had one thing in common they had never traded. They included: A couple of professional card players, an actor, a security card a female auditor and a kid just out of high school to name just a few.He then taught them a simple trading system based on long term trend following princi

    Gold Global Currency
    2008-06-14 23:07:06
For thousands of years, gold has been valued as a global currency, a commodity, an investment and simply an object of beauty. As financial markets developed rapidly during the 1980s and 1990s, gold receded into the background and many investors lost touch with this asset of last resort. Recent years have seen a striking increase in investor interest in gold. While a sustained price rally, underpinned by the fact that demand consistently outstrips supply, is clearly a positive factor in this resurgence, there are many reasons why people and institutions around the world are once again investing in gold.Demand for gold is widely spread around the world. Rapid demographic and other socio-economic changes in many of the key consuming nations are likely to produce new patterns of demand. Jewellery consistently accounts for around three-quarters of gold demand. Jewellery consumption in the developing markets has been expanding rapidly in recent years following a period of sustained decline,

    forex currency code
    2008-06-09 14:05:20
There are a lot of currencies in the world. A few have special symbols to represent them but most use the first letter of the currency name. Although there are special symbols for some currencies sometimes it is difficult to use them in e-mail, news postings or on web pages. For this reason we need a method of representation that passes unchanged and without difficulty in all of these media. The solution, long used by the international banking community, is the ISO 4217 set of currency abbreviations. ISO 4217 ISO 4217 (Codes for the Representation of Currencies and Funds) defines three-letter abbreviations for each world currency. The general principle used to construct these abbreviations is to take the two-letter abbreviations defined in ISO 3166 (Codes for the Representation of Names of Countries) and append the first letter of the currency name (e.g., USD for the United States Dollar). In the case of currencies defined by supra-national entities, ISO 4217 assigns two-letter en

Utilizing the Currency Exchange Rate to Your Benefit
    2008-06-07 19:40:36
The currency exchange is probably not something you think about on a regular basis, but the exchange rate does affect you as a consumer. In today's global market, the exchange rate of your country's currency determines your consumer buying power on both domestic and international levels. The exchange rate is just one part of the much bigger global market, the foreign exchange market. The foreign exchange market relates to the exchange of currencies between countries. Whether you are an investor trading foreign currencies, a bank wiring funds to a foreign country, or a tourist purchasing traveler's checks, you participate in foreign exchange. Staying updated on the currency exchange rate is important, especially for issues that might affect your international investments. You don't necessarily have to travel abroad to know that the exchange rate affects you. Take the US dollar and Euro for instance. Recently, the Euro has seen a steady increase in its value against the dollar. In other wo

Factors Influencing a Currency Pair Exchange Rate
    2008-06-07 19:38:04
IntroductionThe exchange rate refers to the value of the US dollar against the values of currencies of other countries. Such a rate helps determine how much we pay for imported goods and services and how much we receive for what we export, among other things. When the value of the US dollar drops, imports become more expensive, and we tend to reduce the volume of our imports. Simultaneously, other countries will pay LESS for some of our products and that will tend to boost export sales. If imports and exports are a substantial part of a country's economy, as is the case with Canada, the exchange rate plays a particularly important role in our economy. The exchange rate between two countries' currencies is particularly important if the two countries are heavily involved in trade. What factors affect an exchange rate?A country's exchange rate is typically affected by the supply and demand for that country's currency in international exchange markets. This is typically known as a floating

What is Foreign Currency Exchange Rate?
    2008-06-07 19:35:58
The prevailing exchange rate of a foreign currency is one of the most sought-after financial figures by exporters, importers, investors, tourists or even ordinary citizens who have several dollars towed away somewhere in the privacy of their homes. Even the ordinary citizens outside the United States hold on to their precious dollars hoping for an increase in the foreign currency exchange rate later onForeign currency exchange rate refers to the value of a certain currency based or compared to the rate of another currency. The value of the dollar for example is often used as the standard peg of most currencies in the third world. A foreign currency exchange is said to be increasing its value if it is gaining strength against the dollar even in terms of centavos. The value or rate of foreign exchange is not always the same as it is prone to constant fluctuation depending on how the world economy is moving. Most people have their foreign currencies changed through banking institutions. Ho

    Major Forex Currency Pairs
    2008-06-07 19:27:30
Forex currencies are always traded in pairs. For example, EUR/USD, which means Euro over US dollars, would be a typical pair. In this case, the Euro, being the first currency can be called the base currency. The second currency, by default USD, is called the counter or quote currency. As mentioned, the first currency is the base, therefore in a pair you can refer the amount of that currency as being the amount required to purchase one unit of the second currency. So, if you want to buy the currency pair, you have to buy the EURO and sell the USD simultaneously. On the other hand, if you are looking to sell the currency pair, you have to sell the EURO and buy the USD. As a part of forex trading strategies the most important thing is to understand the currency pairs, or more precisely in a Forex transaction, what currency you will be selling or buying. Having good knowledge of major currencies of the world is important while learning forex trading.Major currencies US Dollar – The Unit

    Currency Trading - An Introduction
    2008-06-07 19:22:53
The simplest definition of currency trading is the practice of exchanging one country's currency for another country's currency. Basically, currency trading involves four main variables: currencies, exchange rate, time, and interest rate. The interplay of these variables creates opportunities for small investors to obtain investment returns that are generally unheard of in the traditional investment world. It is also referred to as foreign exchange, FX or Forex, but the essence remains the same that currency trading is the exchange of one currency against another.Perhaps, in terms of trading volume, the currency exchange market is the world's largest market, with daily trading volumes in excess of $1.5 trillion US dollars (although the figures may differ, but this is just an approximation to show its importance). One thing is for sure that in orders of magnitude it is much larger than the bond or stock markets. For example, the New York Stock Exchange has a daily trading volume of appr

    Understanding currency Pairs
    2008-06-06 11:19:30
There are five major currency pairs that are trades on the FOREX market, and they account for about 85% of all daily transactions. They are: Euro against US dollar, US dollar against Japanese yen, British pound against US dollar, US dollar against Swiss franc, and US dollar against Canadian dollar. They appear on the market in this form: EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CHF, and USD/CAD. The key to understanding FOREX quotes is to remember that the currency listed first is the base currency and that the value of the base currency is always 1. So, a quote of EUR / USD 1.35 means that one 1 Euro is equal to 1.35 U.S. dollars. If the number increases, the value of the Euro is increasing while the U.S. dollar is decreasing, and if the number decreases then the Euro is weakening and the U.S. dollar is gaining strength. The US dollar is normally considered the 'base' currency for quotes in the FOREX market, though there are exceptions, such as the GBP/US, where the British pound is the base c

Support and resistance materialize in two different forms. These levels can be horizontal, revealing a precise price at support or resistance exists. Alternatively, support and resistance can be diagonal levels.Diagonal support and resistance levels are common in the forex market, especially when a pair is trending strongly in either direction. Diagonal support and resistance levels are identical in concept to horizontal support and resistance levels. The only difference is that diagonal support and resistance levels follow a pair's movement higher or lower.Diagonal support is a price at which a pair stops going down within the context of moving higher. The lows for each period, or over the course of multiple periods, tend to move higher. It's a price lower than the current exchange rate below which a pair isn't moving. Think of diagonal support as an escalator moving up, steadily lifting the price of a pair. It's a price level below which you can place a stop.A pair might be moving hi

    Online Currency Trading requires Patience
    2008-05-02 09:32:30
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This adage often brings back the memories of my past days when I was trading initially in the currency exchange market. Indeed, there's nothing more hurtful than losing your invested money in the FX market. But, online currency trading is like life where you're got to learn from your wrong moves and keep moving on. Learning the basic skills of online forex trading could be easy but, practically, one needs to acquire the advanced skills to play safe through thick and thin of FX trading.I have traded in forex for many years and, if you count on me, I must tell you that the secret of successful trading lies largely on the hunch and intuition of an trader. Technically expressed, you should have the accurate forex alerts and forex signals to be able to make the right moves in the currency market. However, this is easier said than done as the skills of the Currency Trading Signal takes a long time to master. This is why while a few people are a

Currency Trading Is Not The Monopoly Of The Nerds And The Geeks
    2008-05-02 09:25:08
The general perception is that any and every person who is involved in the business of trading of currency or foreign exchange is a person who has a super high IQ. To hear words and phrases like liquidity ratio, central bank intervention and inflationary demand makes us feel as if we are back in the boring and inherently avoidable lecture on economics that we were forced to attend in our college. However, all these preconceived notions apart, forex or currency trading is not the domain for the super intelligent alone. There is no doubt that you need brains to get involved in forex trading. Then, I bet you cannot name a single sphere of human activity that does not need the application of one's mind. A bit of brains and lot of research can help you make a tidy sum in currency trading. Till recently, the forex trading market was not open to individual investors. To take part in the process of buying and selling of currency, you either had to be a big bank with lots of deposits and a

The profits of forex over currency futures trading are significant.
    2008-05-02 08:06:20
The difference between the two instruments range from truth-seeking realities such as the history of each, their objective viewers, and their importance in the modern forex markets, to more concrete issues such as transactions fees, margin necessities, access to liquidity, easiness of use and the technical and educational support obtainable by sources of each service. These dissimilarities sketched below: More Volume = Improved Liquidity. Daily money futures volume on the CME is now above 2% of the volume seen each day in the forex markets. Incomparable liquidity is one of many advantages that forex markets clutch more currency futures. The truth told this is old news. Any currency professional can tell you that cash has been king since daybreak of the modern currency markets in the early 1970's. The actual news is that individual dealers from every forex risk profile now have full right to use to the opportunities offered in the forex markets. Forex markets give tighter bid to offer

Currency News - Why Most Traders Can't Make Profits with It
    2008-05-02 07:56:24
It's a fact that most traders who try and trade using online currency news end up losing because they don't understand how the market works and fail to understand how news is discounted. If you don't want to join the 95% of losing traders, then you need to understand how to use currency news correctly.Let's start with a rather interesting fact:Today the currency news we get is of a higher quality than 50 years ago, it is delivered faster with the click of a mouse yet, the ratio of winners to losers is still the same as it was 50 years ago which means:These advances in quality of news and speed of delivery, have not helped improve the success rate. The reason for this of course is - the news is discounted in a split second and you simply can't act quickly enough. Furthermore, currency news reflects what the majority think and on most occasions, the majority lose. It's a fact that - markets collapse when their most bullish and rally when their most bearish. Will Rodgers once said:"I only be

    The Currency Market
    2008-05-01 17:57:30
Is it ironic that the currency market, driver of global trade and finance, without a doubt the most significant market in the world economy and politics, is the least known? Why is there such a void of information, and why are there so many misnomers regarding currency trading and investing? From a traders perspective, the forex market is easier to trade in terms of execution and reporting, market hours (forex is 24/7), leverage (400:1), and ability to implement technical systems. There are only 8 major currency pairs, which have limited range, and are correlated mathematically. In the stock market, the largest concern is insider trading. Insider trading is illegal in the stock market, because it is a specific unfair advantage that corporate officers have due to sensitive information they have. However, insider trading is not illegal in the currency market, because there are no ‘insiders’, and also it is not unethical for a bank to sell currency because that is the business of the ba

    Foreign Currency Exchange Trading Brokerage
    2008-04-25 23:31:36
Forex investment opportunities from a talented foreign currency exchange trading brokerage is not easy to find. The market is an inter-bank or inter-dealer market that was established in 1971 when floating rates began to materialize. In addition, it is an Over-The-Counter market, meaning that transactions are conducted between two parties that agree to trade via the telephone or electronic network. Control is thus not centralized, as is the case with many stock markets or as the case for futures or options, which trade on special exchanges. Currencies are traded every day for numerous reasons. For example:Consumers typically come into contact with monetary transformations when they travel. They go to a bank or bureau to convert one type of funds (typically, their "HomeCurrency") into another so they can pay for goods and services.Businesses typically have to convert currencies when they conduct business outside their home country.
