| Dacia unveils the New Logan | | 2008-07-02 16:49:00 | | Hot on the heels of the new Sandero five-door hatch, Dacia has unveiled a redesign of the cheap, little car that started it all for the offshoot of Renault, the Logan. Now dubbed the New Logan, Dacia's inexpensive four-door economy car gets spruced up on the outside with a new front fascia inspired by the Sandero, as well as additional chrome brightwork on some models. While just an evolutionary upgrade of the Logan's original four-year-old design, the mid-cycle refresh is well timed as the Logan line has now grown to include a pickup and now a hatchback. The interior has also been upgraded to include the new dash introduced in the Sandero, and we expect the new looks inside and out to make their way to the Logan Pickup, as well. | | Spy Shots: Dacia Mid-Size Sedan Spied | | 2008-06-15 13:20:00 | | Dacia is working really serious to extend its lineup. They have already confirmed development of a new SUV, but these latest shots taken in Romania reveal the automaker is currently working on an all new mid-size sedan. A modified version of the Dacia Sandero platform provides the underpinnings of the new model but with an expected length of 4.6 meters, it will be considerably longer whilst maintaining the same wheelbase. The conservative Logan styling remains on the Dacia sedan which will be positioned above the Logan. Although we can only see glimpses of the design cues through the camoflage, we can conclusively say it shows a striking resemblance to the facelifted Logan hatchback that spotted totally uncovered last month. Dacia has revealed its all-new Sandero hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show. The Sandero will be built in Pitesti, Romania and will be available in most European countries starting in June 2008. The Sandero will also carry Dacia's three year/100,000 km warranty. Available as a five-door hatchback, the Sandero's exterior has a modern look and features a stylish C-pillar — although its thickness probably hinders outward visibility. Laterally, the Sandero features an "upturned wave" design theme. The interior of the Sandero is also new and can be ordered in a wide range of color and material combinations. Under hood, the Sandero is available with a range of gasoline and diesel engines.
